Cody Dorman, whose bond with namesake Thoroughbred Cody's Wish captured the hearts of the racing world, died Sunday, shortly after watching trackside at Santa Anita as his “best friend” scored a second consecutive victory in the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile. Dorman, who was 17, was born with Wolf-Hirschhorn Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder. Patients typically do not live beyond early childhood.

SANTA ANA, Calif., Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Lee Dorman, the bassist for "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" rockers Iron Butterfly, has died of apparent natural causes in California, a coroner said. He was 70. Dorman, who had a history of heart problems, was found dead in his car Friday in Orange County, E! Online reported.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Attorney General Eric Holder took the rare step Thursday of asking an immigration judicial panel to reconsider the case of a gay man they've cleared for deportation. Holder set aside the Board of Immigration Appeals ruling allowing the deportation of Paul Wilson Dorman, a gay man illegally in the U.S. Dorman wants to stay in the country with his male partner, with whom he celebrated a civil union in New Jersey.
