It comes after the Republican pledged to 'completely repeal Obamacare' under...

Easy for me: An exasperated Wolf Blitzer after calling California for Hillary asking John King and Jake Tapper something like "could this be a game changer?" John King: "Um, no - not really."

There are many things to fear about the coming presidency of Donald J. Trump, but many of the obvious nightmare scenarios wonÂ’t roll out until after the inauguration in January. For some people, however, the fear starts today. Muslim women have been posting on Twitter about how they are now afraid to wear the hijab in public. Follow ã…¤

Gun control proponent Gabby Giffords was in Nevada over the weekend campaigning for the same background check her attacker, Jared Loughner, passed to acquire his handgun. Loughner shot Gabby Giffords on January 8, 2011. According to Guns.com, Giffords’s stop was part of the gun control bus tour she and her husband, Mark Kelly, have been on for 14 weeks. She was in Nevada to push Question 1, which would expand background checks to more gun sales by requiring private sales and transfers to be checked just like retail sales.

Robert De Niro made crystal clear which candidate he supports this presidential election at the VIP cocktail reception for the annual Friends of the Israel Defense Forces Western Regional Gala held Thursday at the Beverly Hilton. The event was chaired by producing giant and FIDF national board member Haim Saban and his wife, Cheryl. "If you're supporting Trump, I want nothing to do with you," said De Niro, after refusing to pose for a photograph with Arnold Schwarzenegger. (Press did manage to snap a few shots before the kerfuffle.) "Are you voting for Trump?" De Niro kept asking Schwarzenegger, channeling...

Osi Imeokparia, the Clinton campaign's chief product officer (don't ask), was interviewed on NPR yesterday and asked how she would feel if Donald Trump won the election. If you listen at about the 12-minute mark, you can hear her start to sob hysterically. "If Donald Trump is the victor, how devastating will that be to you?" she is asked. "Fairly. As you can see, I am a woman of color. I also am a recent naturalized citizen of the United States. On all dimensions this campaign is very personal (sob!) ... (sob! sob! sob!) ... So to work on behalf...

Rep. Tim Ryan (D., Ohio) suggested to CNN’s Wolf Blitzer on Friday that the Russians may have played a role in the FBI reopening its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server after discovering new documents. “So the question is: Where did these come from? How did they get to the FBI? Is Russia involved in this? We don’t have a clue where this stuff is coming from,” Ryan said.

Vice President Joe Biden said last week that he wishes he were in high school and could take Donald Trump “behind the gym,” in a response to the groping allegations against the GOP nominee. Trump said Tuesday that he would “love that.” “Did you see where Biden wants to take me to the the back of the barn? Me. I’d love that,” the Republican nominee said at a rally in Tallahassee, Fla. “Mr. Tough Guy. You know, he’s Mr. Tough Guy. You know when he’s Mr. Tough Guy? When he’s standing behind a microphone by himself. … Some things in...

In a editorial posted today called ‘Microstamping’ technology could help police crack down on gun crimes — if the gun lobby allows it, the editorial board of the Times revealed that they want to ban all firearms in the United States by requiring them to be equipped with a fantasy technology that does not exist in a viable form.

It’s been a rough election cycle for forecasting guru Nate Silver and his website FiveThirtyEight. Silver became a household name after he almost perfectly predicted the results of the 2008 and 2012 general elections, and his esteem was such that to some people he had removed almost all the suspense from elections. Then Trump happened. Nate Silver and his colleagues at FiveThirtyEight were extremely dismissive of Trump’s chances even after he rose to the top of the polls in the summer of 2015, and they repeatedly said as much. But ultimately, Trump proved to be a “black swan” event that...

Since policing is a problem, the police should be removed from communities altogether, according to Black Lives Matter founder Alicia Garza. Garza argued that the United States gives too much respect to police officers, explaining that when police do wrong, a few bad cops are blamed, rather than a “corroded and corrupt system.” “Quite frankly, many of our [Black Lives Matter] members are continuing to investigate what it would mean to have police-free

During her softball interview with Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine on Monday, self-avowed Hillary Clinton supporter Ellen DeGeneres bemoaned a supposed double standard against the former Secretary of State: “So Hillary is, it seems – and I've said this before – that she is held to a different standard than Donald Trump is. Would you agree with that?” Kaine predictably agreed: “Yeah, I think that's true.” DeGeneres continued: “...because she’s an amazing woman but there's so much judgment on her charm, her personality, whatever...” Kaine lamented: “Do you smile enough? You know, ‘She doesn't look presidential, does she fellas?’...

After multiple terrorist attacks launched across the U.S over the weekend, Hillary Clinton placed blame at the feet of the man she says is responsible for recruiting ISIS terrorists across the globe: Donald Trump. Then she accused him of treason, a capital crime that carries the penalty of death under federal law. “Donald Trump is being used as a recruiting sergeant for ISIS,” Clinton said on Monday morning. “The kind of language and rhetoric Trump has used is giving aid and comfort to our adversaries.” *snip* Clinton, who previously served as U.S. Secretary of State for four years and as...

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. — Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton sought Tuesday to present herself as a model of "steady leadership" in the face of terrorist attacks and took a shot at Republican Donald Trump's temperament and preparation for handling such moments. "We know what it takes," Clinton said at the outset of a call with a team of national security and counterterrorism advisers. "We can't lose our cool and start ranting and waving our arms. We shouldn't toss around extreme proposals that won't be effective and lose sight of who we are. That's what the terrorists are aiming for." In...

MSNBC’s Chris Hayes is thrilled beyond belief that New York and New Jersey experienced bombings over the weekends. His rationale? At least they didn’t use guns. Can you believe someone could be so stupid to say something like that? How does this child hold down a steady job? Even for a liberal network, it’s ridiculous they allow this sort of thing. I’m not mincing words, either. Read his tweets.

Would she or wouldn’t she? Up until the United States women’s national team walked out for kickoff against Thailand in its first post-Olympic friendly in Columbus, Ohio, it was unclear if Megan Rapinoe would continue her Colin Kaepernick-inspired protest against the “oppression” of minorities by kneeling for the national anthem. She did.

“Dangerous changes in our climate, caused mainly by human activity; dead zones in our ocean, caused mainly by pollution that we create here on land; unsustainable fishing practices; unprotected marine areas, in which rare species and entire ecosystems are at risk -- all those things are happening now. They’ve been happening for a long time. So if we’re going to leave our children with oceans like the ones that were left to us then we're going to have to act. And we're going to have to act boldly…. “One of the reasons I ran for President was to make sure...
