More than two-thirds of Americans fear pro-Palestinian demonstrations at college campuses will result in violent confrontations, according to a new poll. The survey, released Wednesday by USA Today and Suffolk University, found that nearly 32 percent of Americans said they are “very concerned” the protests will end up in violence, while just more than 35 percent said they are “somewhat concerned.” Nearly 15 percent of respondents said they are “not very concerned,” and 14 percent said they are “not at all concerned.” About 3 percent were undecided, per the poll. Protests calling for a cease-fire in the ongoing Israel-Hamas war...

D.C. police took down a pro-Palestinian encampment at The George Washington University early Wednesday morning and arrested 33 protesters, D.C. police Chief Pamela Smith announced during a news conference Wednesday. … The police chief said there were many indicators that the protests were becoming more volatile, outlining intelligence that officers had been collecting over the past few days. “This started last Thursday, when a GW campus police officer was pushed by protesters and an item was grabbed out of the police officers hand during the performance of her duties,” Smith said. Officers reported that members of the pro-Palestinian protests assaulted...

Manolo De Los Santos, 35, was spotted being hauled away by two NYPD officers in riot helmets near the West 27th Street campus on Tuesday. 🚨BREAKING! Multiple leaders of the ALL OUT FOR RAFAH march in NYC were arrested by the NYPD while they led over a thousand pro-Palestine demonstrators in the streets of Manhattan. We will not stand for the intimidation of the NYPD. The more they...

Several days ago, after the New York police broke up the kill-the-Jews occupations at Columbia, NYU and other universities, it emerged that close to half of the arrestees were not students or otherwise affiliated with the schools in question. At a news conference on April 30, Mayor Eric Adams adopted the term “professional outside agitators” to describe the main organizers of the protests (“What should have been a peaceful protest, it has basically been co-opted by professional outside agitators."). The protests certainly give an appearance of being well-organized and equally well funded. For example, large numbers of identical newly-ordered tents...

‘Pro-Palestinian protesters are backed by a surprising source: Biden’s biggest donors,’ headlined an article by Politico.. Politico’s editors are “surprised” to find the far-left demonstrations overwhelming college campuses this spring are funded by the same sources fighting to keep President Joe Biden in power. On Sunday, the Beltway magazine published an exposé on the financiers bankrolling the campus protests, for which demonstrators trained for months. “Pro-Palestinian protesters are backed by a surprising source: Biden’s biggest donors,” the headline reads. “ Joe Biden has been dogged for months by pro-Palestinian protesters calling him ‘Genocide Joe’ — but some of the groups...

The world is staggering under the weight of billions of bad decisions — bad decisions by regular citizens and by the world’s leaders. Of those choices, one stands out as particularly dangerous — the decision to blame Jews for humanity’s problems. We have seen where this decision leads. The Nazis took it to a place they called Endlösung. In English, that means, “The Final Solution.” Adolf Hitler built his whole sorry career on extreme hatred of Jews. In his book, Mein Kempf, he blamed Jews for mankind’s worst evils. He spoke of “the Jewish question” as a primary problem for...

Former head of Israel's National Security Council, Maj.-Gen. (res.) Giora Eiland was interviewed last Wednesday on Israel's Radio 103FM, where he strongly criticized the Biden administration for its policy positions concerning the Gaza war. The interview included several dramatic statements from the former security chief, including his statement, “The U.S. is much more with Hamas than with us.” According to Eiland, the U.S. and Israel only see eye to eye on one issue in the Gaza War: The hostages. “The United States is with us on only one issue – the hostages,” Eiland told hosts Ben Caspit and Aryeh Eldad....

American colleges seem to be on fire with the anti-Israeli and pro-Hamas demonstrations turning aggressive and violent. The students involved in these demonstrations seem stalwart in their beliefs, insisting that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza as it replies to the Oct. 7 invasion. What many of these students lack, if not sincerity, is a good dose of history. Particularly, Israeli efforts to attempt to make a lasting peace with the Palestinians. However, before that can even be addressed, the obvious must be stated: On Oct. 7, 2023, Israel’s border fence was breeched by Hamas terrorists. A bloodbath ensued in...

They're studying Facebook posts. They're using frame-by-frame video screenshots of faces to match with gargantuan databases of named faces. They're seeking and taking tips from "friends" and relatives and ex-boyfriends. For the UCLA Jewish students who got into a scrap with pro-Hamas illegal campout protestors, no doubt after hearing a slew of antisemitic statements and being blocked from attending class, they're doing exactly what they did to identify and hunt down January 6 protestors. According to the Los Angeles Times, which reports this like it was a good thing: It is shaping up to be perhaps the biggest case in...

Donald Trump’s presidential campaign released an ad Monday putting university leaders on notice that if he is re-elected his administration will not tolerate anti-Semitism on campuses. The online ad, which dropped on Holocaust Remembrance Day, included clips from a speech Trump made as president in 2017 condemning anti-Semitism and remarks he made last fall to the Republican Jewish Coalition following the Hamas Oct. 7 attacks. “We’ve seen anti-Semitism on university campuses, in the public square, and in threats against Jewish citizens. This is my pledge to you, we will confront anti-Semitism. We will stamp out prejudice,” Trump said. “We will...

The Freedom Center is exposing these academic institutes and programs as “The Top Ten Jew-Hating Academic Departments” in a new report. We will be publishing one school per day as a series on Frontpage. The Center for Palestine Studies at Columbia University is #3 on our list. In the days following Hamas’s barbaric October 7th massacre of Israeli civilians, university campuses across the nation became a focal point for—and a symbol of—the Jew hatred that infects our culture. One of the foremost examples on that list is Columbia University, where just one day after the attacks, twenty campus organizations signed...

Giuliani (@RudyGiuliani) April 24, 2024Just as many have suspected, not all of those impassioned student protesters know what they are protesting. Some of them have just let slip, as they were being interviewed by journalists from the New York Post, that they haven’t the faintest idea what they are supposed to be opposing. Robert Spencer...

Prof. Shai Davidai, a lecturer at Columbia University, which recently suffered from violent anti-Israel protests, published an open letter to Israeli academics expressing his concern for their imminent harm. "To all my friends who research and lecture in Israel, it's hard for me to say this, but it's important that you know. You will be the first to be harmed," Davidai He mentioned that "The processes are already in motion and although you don't feel it yet, it's coming. And when it arrives, it will be too late to act". "It will start almost without you noticing. Articles that won't...

Sane-minded people who felt a sense of despair after seeing how the pro-Hamas college protests were playing out early on at places like Columbia University and UCLA were heartened in late April when the University of Florida issued a no-nonsense response to the "outrage" that ensued from the arrest of some campus agitators. As RedState reported at the time, the statement released by U of F school spokesman Steve Orlando confirmed that they were not a daycare center and that if their rules were not followed, then consequences would follow."This is not complicated: The University of Florida is not a daycare,...

Several anti-Israel protesters vandalized a World War I memorial statue in Central Park Monday – and burned an American flag at its base – after a group of more than 1,000 marchers were blocked by cops from reaching the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where the star-studded Met Gala was in full swing. A few of the protesters lit the flag on fire at the site of the One Hundred Seventh Infantry Memorial, which they graffitied with “Gaza” in large black letters and covered in stickers reading “Stop the genocide. End the apartheid. Free Palestine.” Some of the protesters climbed atop...

Columbia will replace its universitywide commencement ceremony on May 15 with "smaller-scale, school-based celebrations," university officials announced Monday, after weeks of pro-Palestinian and counterprotests on campus. The Ivy League school said the decision was made after discussions with student leaders. Security concerns were the main reason behind the decision, a university official told NBC News. "Our students emphasized that these smaller-scale, school-based celebrations are most meaningful to them and their families," the university said Monday. "They are eager to cross the stage to applause and family pride and hear from their school’s invited guest speakers. As a result, we will...

Thirteen federal judges said Monday that they would no longer hire law clerks from Columbia College or Columbia Law School after the university allowed an encampment on its lawn to spiral into a destructive occupation of a campus building. The judges cited the "explosion of student disruptions" and the "virulent spread of antisemitism" at Columbia, which has now canceled its main graduation ceremony because of the unrest. Led by appellate judges James Ho and Elizabeth Branch, who spearheaded a clerkship boycott of Yale Law School in 2022 and Stanford Law School in 2023, as well as by Matthew Solomson on...
