This woman lived as a horse until the age of 13. Kate Havord would gallop around on all fours, wear a bridle and even eat grass. Between the ages of six and 13 the 47-year-old claims a ‘horse spirit’ entered her and eventually had 32 distinct horse personalities she could call upon at any given moment. Kate, who lives in Chippenham, Wilts, but grew up ‘roaming free’ on a farm in Scotland, would even try to eat her meals like a horse and fashioned some horse shoes from old cork. She said: ‘It was like the spirit of the horse...

We’ve all had that co-worker at some point: superficially charming, supremely self-confident, but they’ll walk over anyone to get ahead and not feel a second’s remorse. Perhaps, after you were burned yet again, you half-joked that they must have a personality disorder. Today, experts believe it’s very possible that your colleague is a psychopath. Groundbreaking research presented at the Australian Psychology Society Congress in Melbourne this week reveals that one in five corporate workers may have the disorder — as many as in the prison population.

A child psychiatrist is shedding light on the issue of transgenderism after a Texas mother asked a school to adopt a transgender bathroom policy to accommodate her kindergartener. EAGNews reports the Pearland Independent School District is refusing to comply with a mother's request this month to change its policy even though she says her transgender child is so distraught he prays to be taken to heaven. Psychiatrist Dr. Allan Josephson of the University of Louisville's Bingham Clinic says a child that age cannot grasp the concept of transgenderism. "To be this troubled to ask to be taken away or go...

A man's craving for metal that led him to swallow 40 knives may sound bizarre, but such strange cravings can be symptoms of an eating disorder in which people ingest anything from dirt to talcum powder. The 42-year-old man in India said he had consumed the knives over a 2-month period, according to CNN. Some of the knives were folded up when the man ingested them, but some were unfolded, and extended to about 7 inches (18 centimeters) long. The man required a 5-hour operation to remove the knives. Because some of the knives were open, the man was bleeding...

A lesbian couple featured in a BuzzFeed video on “gender non-conforming” parenting is trying to force their son to have a “queer” relationship with his gender despite his protests. “It’s really funny, because he’s like super into sports,” Michelle said. “Maybe he was like an Olympic athlete in his past life. He like, came with all of these sporting talents that are like visible at 17 months. That’s what Dashiell liked growing up. She easily relates to him on that level.” “I’m constantly like trying to queer my relationship with him and get him to wear tutus. He hates it....

Social science can be so amusing. There is a bit of a contretemps over several recent articles that used datasets supposedly measuring the personality traits of liberals and conservatives which has resulted in several abashed corrections. The researchers used the data in an effort to show that personality traits are not the cause of political attitudes, but instead both are correlated with some other factor, most likely genetic. Interesting enough. This finding is not what is being corrected. ..... The original article, "Correlation not Causation: The Relationship between Personality Traits and Political Ideologies," in the American Journal of Political Science...

Chaz Bono cannot find love because he “repels” women. Lovelorn Bono, 46, says he has been out on dates but just cannot connect with the opposite sex even though the transgender LGBT advocate was once a member of the opposite sex. The reality star son of Cher has been struggling to find a permanent partner after splitting with Jennifer Elia in 2011. “I seem to repel women that I am attracted to,” Bono told Confidenti@l at the Les Girls charity fund-raiser in Los Angeles.” He says, “I have been single for four years, which has been a great thing and...

Hoo-wee, the New York Times will really have to extend itself to top the boner and mother-of-all-corrections at the American Journal of Political Science... The authors regret that there is an error in the published version of “Correlation not Causation: The Relationship between Personality Traits and Political Ideologies” American Journal of Political Science 56 (1), 34–51. The interpretation of the coding of the political attitude items in the descriptive and preliminary analyses portion of the manuscript was exactly reversed... The erroneous results represented some of the larger correlations between personality and politics ever reported; they were reported and interpreted, repeatedly,...

t is, perhaps, a peculiar fact involving an obscure medical text, but it is one that is now taking on outsized importance: The World Health Organization, in a compendium of conditions and diseases, lists being transgender under the umbrella of mental illness. The WHO publishes a standardized coding system used around the globe to classify medical conditions, for research purposes and health-care billing. In the document, being transgender is currently included in a section with kleptomania (the overwhelming impulse to steal), trichotillomania (the compulsion to pull out one’s own hair), and pedophilia (a preference for having sex with children).

People with the condition are known to have any of a number of delusions that range from believing they have no organs, blood or body parts to insisting they are actually dead even though they are very much still breathing. In even more rare cases of what is also known as walking corpse syndrome, people with the condition consider themselves immortal. Although walking corpse syndrome is considered extremely rare, its exact prevalence is unknown. One Hong Kong study involving 349 psychogeriatric patients suggests the condition afflicts about 0.57 percent of the population. Another study conducted in Mexico in 2010, which...

The number of men suffering from mental disorder is almost double compared to women in the country. Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr S Subramaniam said the National Morbidity Study carried out last year revealed that a total of 42,168 people sought psychiatric treatment at government hospitals for some form of mental disorder. "Of this, a total of 27,855 men suffered mental disorder compared to 14,313 women," he said in written reply to a question by Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz (PAS-Pasir Mas) in Dewan Rakyat Wednesday. He added that those between 20 and 49 years old tend to suffer...

After hearing about Obama's executive order that all colleges and schools k-12 will guarantee that all transgendered people will have restroom accommodations, and considering the Supreme Courts ruling of basically stating that gay people are normal, I thought some may enjoy reading what posted here 3 years ago. Then it was an excerpt, but here is the full article. I added an update in quotes to one part. The Queering of America's Future Men by Obama & Jennings (original FR post) We have all heard about the many nightmares associated with government taking over the health-care industry, but are we...

Although Bruce Caitlyn Jenner’s rep is denying it, there are reports claiming that within the next few years, Caitlyn will revert to Bruce, the alleged reasons being that: 1) living as a woman has “been very hard” for him; and 2) he’s still attracted to women. If the reports are true, Jenner will not be the first person who experienced sex change regret. I wrote an article about this painful and much-ignored subject two years ago, and I certainly pray that he will find internal and external wholeness. But rather than focusing on Jenner right now, let’s think about the larger questions...

(CNSNews.com) - The U.S. Justice Department is putting the feelings of transgenders -- men who think they are women and women who think they are men -- above the privacy rights of the vast majority of people who don't contest the biological facts of who they actually are. "And what we must not do, what we must never do, is turn on our neighbors, our family members, our fellow Americans for something that they cannot control and deny what makes them human," Attorney General Loretta Lynch said on Monday.

Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a personality disorder in which a person is excessively preoccupied with personal adequacy, power, prestige and vanity, mentally unable to see the destructive damage they are causing to themselves and often others. People with narcissistic personality disorder are characterized by exaggerated feelings of self-importance. They have a sense of entitlement and demonstrate grandiosity in their beliefs and behavior. They have a strong need for admiration, but lack feelings of empathy. In addition to these symptoms, the person may display arrogance, show superiority, and seek power. The symptoms of narcissistic personality disorder can be similar to...

During July 2008, nationally syndicated talk show host Michael Savage ignited a firestorm with his comments about autism, calling it "a fraud, a racket." In follow-up statements, Savage explained his views as being "meant to boldly awaken parents and children to the medical community's attempt to label too many children or adults as 'autistic.'" While Savage's language was blunt, his concerns over the gross over-diagnosis of autism are valid. Of course, the U.K. banned Savage from entry, in no small part because of his controversial views on autism, proving -- yet again -- that British governments, both Labour and Conservative...

A “large number” of doctors in certain EU member states still view homosexuality as a disease, a report has revealed. Euroefe reports. “The research also shows that there are still quite a number of healthcare professionals in several EU member states who believe LGBT people suffer from pathological diseases,” said Michael O’Flaherty, the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA). A recent FRA report found that Bulgaria, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Poland and Slovakia are the EU countries where this misconception is most widely held. This negative view of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people held by groups of professionals...

Here's a question most anyone who learns I am researching confidence artists asks me: Are con artists clinical psychopaths-or are they just slightly more devious versions of our more conniving selves? Is it a qualitative difference between our small daily deceptions and the wiles of the confidence man, or is it just a simple matter of degree?
Robert Hare's Psychopathy Checklist-Revised, the most common assessment tool for antisocial, psychopathic behavior, looks for things like responsibility, remorse, pathological lying, manipulativeness, cunning, promiscuity and general impulsiveness, superficial charm, grandiosity, and the like. Score high enough, and you are labeled psychopathic,

California would ban anorexic models under a bill introduced Monday in the state Legislature. Assemblyman Marc Levine, D-San Rafael, said AB2539 is an effort to reduce the number of eating disorders among models by creating industry health standards and requiring modeling agencies to be licensed by the California Labor Commissioner. Under the legislation, models would need a physician’s certificate attesting that they don’t suffer from an eating disorder, which agencies would be required to keep on file or face a fine.

The denial of reality has become a civil right, at least in the eyes of the left and the parts of our governmental apparatus in its control. See, for example, this handy-dandy do-it-yourself guide to getting your gender changed on a California driver’s license, Social Security account, passport, or even birth certificate. Orwell imagined only a dystopia in which people could retroactively be made unpersons, but now we can retroactively change the facts of birth. This level of madness portends the destruction of our civilization, and coincidentally or not, we face a certain percentage (one? five? twenty? who knows?)...
