GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump says the United States has "absolutely no choice" but to close down mosques where "some bad things are happening." "Nobody wants to say this and nobody wants to shut down religious institutions or anything, but you know, you understand it," Trump said on Fox News's "Hannity" on Tuesday. "A lot of people understand it. We're going to have no choice." Trump said on Monday he would "strongly consider" closing mosques if elected in response to the terrorist attacks in France last Friday that killed at least 129 people and injured hundreds more. Pressed to explain...

Donald Trump had it right on Vladimir Putin and ISIS; Chris Christie didn't have a clue By Paul Mulshine | The Star Ledger on November 17, 2015 at 7:46 AM, updated November 17, 2015 at 10:28 AM Chris Christie reacted to those terror attacks in Paris on Friday by trying to turn them to his political advantage at a campaign event in Florida on Saturday. "The world is desperate for a strong, secure, smart and tested American president," Christie said. "The hour is too late for people to be trained. We need a president who is ready to serve." We...

In the days since Friday's horrific attacks in Paris—the most deadly act of terrorism on European soil in more than a decade—something approaching a consensus has emerged among politicos, pundits, and the political press corps in Washington: The fear-inducing violence in France could bring order to what has been a chaotic Republican presidential campaign here at home. The New York Times reports that the attacks have "thrust national security to the heart of the presidential race, forcing candidates to scramble and possibly prompting voters to reconsider their flirtations with unconventional candidates." Bloomberg Politics calls it "an important gut-check moment for...

France imported cheap foreign labor (Muslim in this case) for decades and didn't care too much about the culture clash. Then the Muslims did what they've always done for 1400 years in the middle east, in Africa, Asia Minor, Asia, Europe, etc.: Infiltrate, immigrate, increase in numbers, make demands, activate politically, implement Sharia law, take over militarily and or via violence and terrorism. France has now lost their sovereignty, lost their culture, lost their religion, lost their freedom. If they don't wake up and kick out the Muslims soon, they're going to lose their nation and their heads. Islam is...

American military officials have come to the conclusion that the U.S.-led air campaign targeting Syria’s oil infrastructure — which has provided the Islamic State with hundreds of millions of dollars over the past two years — has been too cautious. A new offensive aims to change that. Officials would not say if the rules of engagement for the U.S.-led air war against the Islamic State, also known as ISIS, have changed to allow for a new and more aggressive round of strikes. But there was little doubt that the U.S. aerial assault that tore through 116 ISIS oil tankers parked...

The former chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence says President Obama has no coherent strategy to defeat ISIS, and he alleges one of Obama’s top advisers “lied to the American people†to perpetuate a misguided program allowing tens of thousands of refugees into the U.S. Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes appeared on multiples Sunday morning news shows. When asked whether the news that one and possibly two of the Paris terrorists came to Europe as refugees would alter the Obama administration’s plan to accept tens of thousands of refugees, Rhodes said there would be no re-evaluation....

Terrorism has vaulted to the nation's No. 1 issue as Americans say they are as concerned about attacks as they were after the Boston Marathon bombing in 2013, according to a new poll. A Reuters/Ipsos poll said that virtually everybody has heard of the ISIS attacks in Paris, pushing terrorism into a tie with the economy, not global warming as Democratic candidates have claimed. The poll also found that 60 percent of Americans want Washington to do more to attack ISIS, though they prefer air strikes over troop involvement. The details of the poll:

The far-right wing in both America and Europe have seized on the Paris terror attacks as an excuse to turn away the thousands of desperate refugees who are fleeing the terror and violence of ISIS. Thirteen American governors (all Republican) have announced they will refuse to accept Syrian refugees in their states, demonstrating a remarkable ignorance of Constitutional law. As ThinkProgress noted, "the Supreme Court explained in Hines v. Davidowitz, "the supremacy of the national power in the general field of foreign affairs, including power over immigration, naturalization and deportation, is made clear by the Constitution." States do not get...

At least 15 Republican governors and one Democratic governor have announced plans to block Syrian refugees from resettling in their states in the wake of last week's terrorist attacks in Paris. Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder and Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley issued statements Sunday saying that they wanted to prioritize the safety of the residents in their states. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott; Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, a GOP presidential candidate; Arkansas Gov. Gov. Asa Hutchinson; Indiana Gov. Mike Pence; Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant; Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner; Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker; Florida Gov. Rick Scott; North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory; Ohio...

Donald Trump is brilliant. Trump is a chess master. His instincts about immigration and the border were 100 percent on the money. First of all, with the terrible Islamic State terrorist attack in Paris, immigration and our open border with Mexico just became the No. 1 issue in America. All the presidential candidates are now playing on Trump’s home turf. Trump is in command of the most important issue in America. Next, always remember Trump wrote the book on negotiation. It’s called “The Art of the Deal.†Well his new book should be called “The Art of the Immigration Deal.â€...

Shortly after the Charlie Hebdo Islamic terrorist murders in Paris in January, the establishment press attacked those who dared to state something quite obvious about "no-go zones" in parts of Europe, i.e., that they exist. The media summarily and unilaterally declared that "no-go zones" were a myth propagated by the likes of Fox News, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, longtime terror expert Steven Emerson, and others — despite several direct references to them in media accounts, including the New York Times, going back as far as 2002. Well, a not very funny thing has happened during the attempt to hunt down...

Support for Donald Trump surges in November while Ben Carson, Marco Rubio holding steady..

In the wake of the Islamic terrorist attack establishment Republican presidential contender Sen. Marco Rubio is standing by his support for bringing Syrian refugees into the United States of America, despite the evidence that the Paris murder-rampage involved at least one Muslim terrorist who had infiltrated Europe among the thousands of “refugees†now leaving the Middle East. Rubio’s astonishing doubling down on his support for this policy of national suicide was documented in a weekend article by our friend Matthew Boyle of Breitbart. When Boyle asked Rubio if after the Paris attack he still supported bringing more Syrian “refugees†to...

"Slamming the door in their faces would be a betrayal of our values," [Obama] said.Six Republican governors have announced that Syrian refugees won't be allowed to resettle in their states in the wake of last week's terrorist attacks in Paris. Gov. Asa Hutchinson; and Indiana Gov. Mike Pence joined them on Monday. "Michigan is a welcoming state and we are...

President Obama wants more Syrian Muslim refugees in the West. Speaking in Turkey on Monday, Obama explained that the West needed to open its heart to Muslim refugees, who after all were fleeing from terrorism in the Middle East to the safe and warm arms of the West. Meanwhile, Obama continued to maintain that Islamic radicalism presents no threat to the world.

EXCERPT "There will be an intensification of the strategy that we put forward but the strategy they we put forward is the strategy that ultimately is going to work," Obama told reporters at a news conference at the close of a Group of 20 summit.

Here's a question an incisive debate moderator ought to ask Marco Rubio: are you happy Senators Sessions and Cruz helped defeat your Gang of 8 immigration bill? One of the more obscure yet destructive provisions of the Gang of 8 bill I wrote about in 2013 was section 3405 (page 693), which created an entire new pipeline for refugees. This bill would have concocted an unconditional right to immediate legal permanent resident status for any person in the world who declares himself "stateless." Had the bill passed in 2013, it would have given the Obama administration power to define who...

As the Republican presidential primary heats up, illegal immigration is again taking center stage. While this is nothing new (as we know President Reagan attempted to address it in the ’80s, John McCain made it a priority in ’08, and on), the discussion has taken an interesting turn this election cycle. At issue, of course, are Obama’s executive amnesty, the recent influx of illegal immigrants (including huge numbers of children), the vast number of illegals currently living and working in the U.S., border security (such as it is), and a host of related issues including the burden of illegal immigration...

Two of the suicide bombers who caused carnage in the Paris massacre are thought to have sneaked into France by posing as refugees from Syria. The disclosure, which came amid claims of French intelligence failures, inevitably raised new security concerns about Europe’s borders. Police said the two men, who arrived in Greece last month, were among seven attackers, one as young as 15. One of the attackers was last night named by French media as Mostefai Ismaël Omar, 29, from Courcouronnes, in Essonne. Serbian media last night reported that one of the terrorists was named as Ahmed Almuhamed. The newspaper,...

How much higher can Donald Trump’s popularity rise? Trump has leaped ahead 17 percentage points among likely Republican voters since Nov. 6, when he was tied with Ben Carson at 25 percent. Despite what many saw as a poor-spirited attack on Carson about the retired surgeon’s “pathological temper,†Trump continues to surge ahead in the polls. “The Republican establishment has long expected the outspoken billionaire to fade,†suggested Yahoo News, “and he has yet to give it the satisfaction. Trump has consistently held more than 25 percent of the support among all Republicans in the Reuters/Ipsos rolling poll for more...
