Three months ago in our quarterly list of the top 10 most likely Democratic candidates for president in 2024, we changed things up. For a while, we had been ranking only the candidates not named Joe Biden. In the seemingly unlikely scenario he didn’t run again, the idea was, here’s who would be next in line. [Snip] 10. A guest on Todd's MSNBC show this evening was University of New Hampshire Professor Dante Scala. As they discussed the possibility of mediocre turnout, Scala described the Dem contenders as "B-level," and Todd seconded that emotion.
