It is well known within LENR circles that Australian Entrepreneur, Dick Smith, is scathing of Andrea Rossi’s eCat claims. After Rossi refused his offer of a $1m (US) challenge, he extended that offer to Greek company Defkalion GT who are making similar claims. Mr Smith’s offer was an attempt to expose the fraud he is certain these people are perpetrating.

It seems that Dr Rossi and Defkalion agree about something. The Greek company is at pains to say that Hyperion is absolutely their technology and nothing to do with the eCat. While some may find this an Alice-in-Wonderland statement, the Italian inventor does not. He accuses them – without naming – of operating a scam. Mats Lewan of Ny Teknik, the Swedish tech magazine at the forefront of reporting on Rossi’s eCat has an interesting article this morning. It notes the disparity between the recent pronouncement by Defkalion GT’s Alexandros Xanthoulis dissociating the Hyperion from Rossi’s eCat. An article from the Greek website energypress Greek company Defkalion Green Technologies, SA is preparing to install a 1 mW power plant which uses the “energy catalyzer” technology invented by Andrea Rossi and Sergio Focardi. According to the article, the company has said that this power plant will be used to power a factory in Xanthi, Greece where Defkalion will build up to 300,000 Rossi/Focardi E-cat units per year for the Greek and Balkan markets.
