St. Louis TEA Party figures Dana Loesch and Chris Loesch took federal and state government money to build their business. Dana Loesch’s husband, Chris, benefitted from $4.4 million in federal and state government “tax credits†in order to build his multi-media studio in St. Louis (Shock City Studio). The tax credits were part of an EPA “Brownfield Cleanup†program which was canceled by the Republican Congress for wasteful spending. In addition, the Loesch’s have been accused of using the studio for a pay-for-play scheme that involved a GOP political candidate running in a primary, against a Tea Party candidate and...

Alabama's Jeff Sessions sure knows how to nurse a grudge. Talking about his family earlier this year, the Republican senator recalled that "Lincoln killed one of them at Antietam." (SNIP) A short, wiry man with protruding ears, Sessions has become the Lou Dobbs of the Senate. He argues his points not with the courtly Southern tones of the late senator Howell Heflin (D), his predecessor, but with the harsh twang of a country tough -- which, in a sense, he is. Sessions was one of just nine senators to oppose a ban on torture. He has raised objections about renewing...

As Twitchy reported, Michael Bloomberg’s anti-gun group Moms Demand managed to tamp down a small patch of grass this afternoon a few blocks from the NRA convention in Nashville. In the meantime, there were plenty of moms inside the convention hall, and an enormous line of convention goers waiting to meet Dana Loesch and have their books signed. *************** What you might have noticed at the end of that second video is something rather special: the June issue of Guns & Ammo, featuring Loesch on the cover — the first time a woman has been featured on the cover since...

Dana's new Blaze show debuted Friday, and she had a humorous segment where she read hate mail with mock dramatic flair. First up was a tweet from one @sqeptiq, a leftist turd who loves baiting conservatives in general and Christian homeschoolers in particular.

The news that President Obama will soon start personally sending out real messages through Twitter likely has some of his supporters excited, but Fox News contributor Dana Perino was left wondering how he has time for such activities? She appeared on Fox & Friends and was less than enthused about the prospect of seeing tweets coming directly from Obama. Perino did admit that “inauthentic tweets are really annoying” and that she “unfollows” anyone on Twitter that has such boring, not real messages. Yet she wondered “maybe we should re-examine the roles and responsibilities of the President

On her Bravo TV show Tuesday night, left-wing comedian Kathy Griffin referred to Sen. Scott Brown's two daughters as "prostitutes," and a CNN reporter apparently thought it hysterical. [Audio available here.] Griffin, who was readying herself for a trip to Washington, DC to rally and drum up support for a repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," brought CNN reporters (husband and wife) Dana Bash and John King onto the show to "coach" her for handling Washington. Bash is a congressional correspondent for CNN, while King anchors the news hour "John King, USA." When the couple showed Griffin a picture of...

A popular San Francisco news anchor inexplicably made a joke on a Wednesday evening newscast suggesting NASCAR superstar Dale Earnhardt Jr. “should marry his stepmother.” First, some background: Preceding the quip by KPIX news anchor Dana King was a flawed report from sports anchor Dennis O’Donnell about the unveiling of the stock car Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be racing with his new team next season. Dale Jr., son of the late NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt Sr., is in his final season with Dale Earnhardt Inc., the racing team his father founded and left to Dale Jr.’s stepmother, Teresa Earnhardt. Dale...

Leslie Cauley, the USA Today reporter who last week “broke” the news that three major U.S. telecommunications companies were assisting the National Security Agency in building a database to more easily track any communications by potential terrorists, is listed as a donor to former House Minority Leader Richard Gephardt... A search found a listing for "writer and journalist" Leslie Cauley, indicating she gave $2,000 to Gephardt on June 30, 2003, when Gephardt was running for the Democratic presidential nomination. And that seems not to be her only tie to Democratic politics ... Cauley's link to a Democratic campaign seems likely...

President Bush had a senior moment midway through his news conference yesterday. Referring to an earlier question from the Los Angeles Times' Jim Gerstenzang, who has covered much of Bush's presidency, Bush looked at the veteran correspondent -- and forgot his name. "Back, to, uh, this man's question right here," he said, and then he looked down at his seating chart for a refresher before adding: "This man being Jim." "Sorry, Jim," the president said after everybody had a chuckle at his expense. "I got a lot on my mind these days." That he does. Bush's presidency is in trouble,...

DETROIT -- Dana Corp. -- the 100-year-old company that supplied parts to the Model T, the World War II-vintage Jeep and the classic London taxicab -- sought Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Friday in New York. The filing ended several weeks of speculation about the deteriorating financial condition of the axle, driveshaft and heavy components manufacturer based in Toledo, Ohio. Dana becomes the second major automotive supplier to seek reorganization in the last five months. Delphi Corp., the former parts making unit of General Motors, filed for bankruptcy protection Oct. 8. Dana supplies components for a significant number of platforms at...

Bankruptcy speculation encircled troubled auto supplier Dana Corp. early Friday after the company's stock price on Thursday hit new lows and Wall Street credit agencies lowered their ratings on the company's debt. The driveline, chassis and heavy components maker on Wednesday said it missed a $21 million interest payment on its bond debt. Earlier in the week, it said it expected to conclude negotiations with its bankers and financiers within two weeks. "Failure to obtain a new (credit line) facility would lead to default and likely bankruptcy," S&P analyst Daniel DiSenso wrote in a Thursday report. Both S&P and Moody's...

WASHINGTON - Severely injured when her Humvee was bombed in Iraq, Air Force Tech Sgt. Jamie Dana woke up in a military hospital and cried out for Rex, her bomb-sniffing dog. She was told Rex was dead. Later, she found out he was alive. But her joy soon turned to sadness when she was told she couldn't adopt him. Now, under a compromise announced Thursday between House-Senate negotiators, it appears Rex, a German shepherd, will join Dana full-time. He might even make it there by the holidays. "I don't really know how to put that into words," said Dana, a...

The Arab world is all one big happy family again. OK, dysfunctional, but happy. No, well, unhappy and as twisted as usual. While visiting Kuwait today, Palestinian presidential front-runner, Mahmoud Abbas, apologized for his people’s support of Saddam’s invasion of the Gulf emirate in 1990. Isn’t that special? (remember Dana Carvey as the “Church Lady” on SNL?). This happened just after Kuwait’s sultans (or whatever they’re called) forgave the Palestinian people for supporting Saddam’s invasion. Kuwait’s leadership went so far as to say they didn’t even expect a public apology for Palestinian support of the 1990 war. Now, isn’t that...

Have you noticed how the left wing has beens who have appeared on Fox News to defend the NYTimes & CBS, keep referring to the imbedded Fox reporter whose first name is Dana, as a "she". Typical They must not have watched this reporter give an eyewitness report on this issue. This report have been replayed many times in the last two days. "Dana" is a guy.

12:32 Mrs Mary McAleese has been returned to office unopposed for a second seven-year term as President. Her success was officially declared in Dublin's Custom House after the only other contender, Ms Dana Rosemary Scallon, did not secure enough last-minute support before a noon deadline. Mrs McAleese said she was "very proud to have been elected to serve the people of Ireland for the next seven years".

It has been 35 years since NASA pilot Bill Dana landed an X-15 on the dusty lakebed at Edwards Air Force Base. It was Oct. 24, 1968, and Dana had just completed the 199th flight in the X-15 program. He was eager for another turn in the cockpit because a high-altitude camera experiment did not go well that day, and he wanted to repeat the test. It was not to be. The X-15 program was ended less than two months later, before the 200th flight could be made, and Dana would carry the distinction of being the last pilot to...
