"The reports about my race, about my past, and about the pain I've endured are all lies," wrote King, who blogs at the Daily Kos. "I refuse to speak in detail about the nature of my mother's past, or her sexual partners, and I am gravely embarrassed to even be saying this now, but I have been told for most of my life that the white man on my birth certificate is not my biological father and that my actual biological father is a light-skinned black man," he said.

In an emotional blog post on the Daily Kos website today, embattled Black Lives Matter organizer Shaun King finally revealed his secret: he had no idea who his real father is. King’s account confirmed all the key details of Breitbart’s reporting. “Until this past week,” writes King, “never has anyone asked me who my father was during these 35 years of mine. It occurs to me now that I’ve never asked anyone that question either.”

Obama administration allies lobbying in favor of a recently signed nuclear deal with Iran are smearing Jewish lawmakers and opponents of the accord with allegations of dual loyalty to Israel, rhetoric many view as anti-Semitic, according to allegations leveled by these individuals and groups.Organizations close to the White House, including the pro-Tehran lobbying shop National Iranian American Council (NIAC), the liberal fringe group J Street, and the anti-war organization MoveOn, have come out to question the motivation of Jewish individuals who oppose the nuclear deal, which will provide Iran with billions of dollars in sanctions relief and lift longstanding restrictions...

The fallout from the McKinney pool party viral video controversy continues, as social media-based Social Justice Warriors seek more scalps. On Thursday, pressure from liberal groups led to at least one woman being temporarily removed from her job for her involvement in the McKinney controversy. Another woman has been fired from her teaching position due to comments she made on Facebook. After posting an online “all points bulletin,” online activists are claiming victory about the job status of another man who worked for the Craig Ranch Home Owners Association, who ran into trouble after the hacktivist group Anonymous put out...

Twitter users have directed their fury at a Texas man who allegedly said on social media that a Houston Islamic center should burn down. Dustin Herron allegedly wrote online about a fire that took place at Quba Islamic Institute last week, liberal website The Daily Kos reported on Friday. According to the website, Herron wrote on social media 'Let it burn...block the fire hydrant' but Daily Mail Online could not confirm the authenticity of the post. However, the Daily Kos reported that Herron is a Crystal Beach Volunteer Fire Department (CBVFD) volunteer. And a LinkedIn profile lists a man of...

Chauncey DeVega, black writer, podcaster, and self-proclaimed "ghetto nerd," shared an essay on Daily Kos in which he reminds those that are horrified by the brutality of ISIS burning Lt. Muath al-Kasasbeh alive to remember that white Americans did the same thing to blacks in the past. "American Exceptionalism blinds those who share its gaze to uncomfortable facts and truths about their own country," wrote DeVega. Adding that just like their Islamic cohorts, "white lynchers" practiced their own "unique cultural ritual" that was just as "gruesome" and "medieval" as ISIS "for almost a century." And instead of making a video...

This week I went online and changed my voter registration from Republican to Unaffiliated. Didn't see the point and it felt good. Anyone else?

In the 1960s and ‘70s, it was fairly common for leftists to describe the U.S. as not just misguided or flawed, but sick. On Sunday, Daily Kos’s Mark Sumner trotted out that metaphor when he asserted that President Reagan “introduced [an] infection” to this country, one which caused Americans to believe that “to save our nation, we have to treat our government like a threat.” Since the Reagan years, Sumner claimed, “conservatism has been more than just an argument about tax rates and regulat[ions]. It's become an open and honest war on the whole idea of governing. By opening a...

#KilledByCops is an interactive map that chronicles and visualizes a humanizing, detailed, but far-from-complete perspective on the massive scale of police killings nationwide. And since fewer than 5% of law enforcement agencies in the country currently provide information on police killings, a comprehensive data collection of and a national conversation about police homicides in the United States is desperately needed.

The media calls climate change skeptics “anti-science.” Over at MSNBC the Republican Party is referred to as the “anti-science party.” CNN headlined the news that the so-called “Green Billionaire” Tom Steyer was throwing millions of millions against this year’s Republican candidates in Senate races who were “anti-science.” (Steyer’s results were disastrous, but another story for another time.) In fact, Google “anti-science” and up pops an endless stream of left-wing outlets castigating someone somewhere on the right for being “anti-science” or “science deniers” and so on and on. From the cable air waves to the cyber or printed pages, outlets with...

Whenever your humble correspondent dips a strawberry into the chocolate fountain at the Golden Corral, one thought always comes to mind: Mark Warner bribery. Why? Because back in 2006 when Warner was governor of Virginia he attempted to influence the Daily Kos convention in Las Vegas, then known as the YearlyKos, into favoring his possible bid for the presidency with a lavish party at the Stratosphere. As we shall see, the Kossacks absolutely loved the idea that they were being bribed as they feasted on the sushi, drank down alcoholic concoctions, and dipped into the chocolate fountain. Therefore it is...

~snip Driving the email barrage was an open letter to me in the liberal Daily Kos by one of its bloggers, Assaf Oron. He wrote that, "I have long suspected - with good evidence - that NPR news does little more than shill for the same interest that dominate our politics and mainstream media, albeit with a high-brow veneer. I think the final proof has arrived today." ~snip

Think Progress, a website operated by the liberal Center for American Progress, failed to vet a phony story which claimed that Minnesota U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann proposed “Americanization” labor camps for Central American unaccompanied children. “I’m calling on all of us, Obama and Congress and everyone, to chip in and build special new facilities…‘Americanization facilities,’ if you will,” Bachmann said, according to Think Progress, which has since corrected its embarrassing flub. […] Think Progress published the erroneous story on Sunday but corrected it and issued an apology after another liberal website, the Raw Story, pointed out the massive hoax. […]...

This year’s edition of Netroots Nation (the supposed liberal answer to CPAC) kicked off this week, in case you hadn’t heard. (And judging by the massive lack of media coverage, you might not have.) To be honest, I have not idea what was going on at the various panels and speeches, aside from the apparently well received socialist stemwinder from Elizabeth Warren. But there was, it seems, one get together which was a real hoot, whether intentionally or not. It was a seminar called (wait for it) … Only the Jester Speaks the Truth and it was all about the...

DETROIT — Sen. Elizabeth Warren wowed a friendly crowd of influential liberal activists Friday in Detroit, pledging to fight against Republicans and the “sleazy lobbyists” she says have rigged the rules in Washington and harmed the middle class. Warren took the stage in a crowded ballroom to calls of “Run, Liz, run” by activists waving “Elizabeth Warren for President” signs and did little to disappoint. Speaking before the nation’s largest gathering of liberal activists, she railed against giant corporations, secret trade deals and Republicans she said were too cozy with big business. Conservatives, she charged, are “guided by an internal...

Organizers of Netroots Nation, America’s largest annual gathering of progressive activists, took the wraps off of a major and welcome surprise this afternoon with the announcement that Vice President Joe Biden would be coming to Detroit to speak to the convention during a special Thursday afternoon general session. It will also be Biden’s first appearance at Netroots Nation. He was invited to participate in the Presidential Leadership Forum held in Netroots Nation’s second year, in Chicago (back then, the convention was known as YearlyKos), but declined to attend due to his desire to participate in another event. The other contenders...

In one of the clearest statements by the White House that they are completely engulfed in their own worldview, the State Department on Sunday cited both Daily Kos and Think Progress while defending Secretary of State John Kerry's offensive apartheid statement. This previous Friday, Mr. Kerry stated that Israel risked becoming an "apartheid state" if they did not give in to Palestinian demands during peach talks between the two groups. The State Department quickly went on defense to protect the asinine statements. Jen Psaki, spokeswoman for the State Department, tweeted out two articles in which other people had warned that...

FROM THE 'DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND': A new low for the far left: a post titled, "Why I Hope the Bloodshed Continues in Iraq." I kid you not. DEMOCRATIC UNDERGROUND DECIDES TO EDIT: Hmmm. After I linked to a truly hideous posting celebrating bloodshed in Iraq, they take the page down. I should have copied the page. First CBS. Now DU. Shine a light on them and they scram. - 11:42:12 AM THE POST: Here's what Democratic Underground didn't want you to see: I Hope the Bloodshed Continues in IraqWell, that should bring the bats out of the attic with fangs dripping....
