Well, is this just playful trolling, or an omen not being taken seriously on the Left? Michael Rosenblum, the founder of the left-leaning Current TV, which was sold off to Al-Jazeera, had quite the declaration on The Huffington Post: Donald Trump is going to be elected president of the United States. Granted, he didn’t necessarily say polls be damned, though he might as well since Rosenblum said that this race was lost eons ago when Swamp People, Pawn Stars, and the endless World War II programming came on the History Channel. He says the same for the programming on The...

Cenk Uygur, host of 'The Young Turks,' discusses the results of an unscientific (but large) poll of his audience showing that about 80% of his mostly-Sanders-supporting audience would NEVER vote for Hillary Clinton. "I don't want to speak for you guys," Uygur said of his audience -- the largest single online news show on YouTube -- "It was not a small amount of people voting. Over 20,000 votes on our app and @YouTube - over 80% of our audience saying they'd never vote for Hillary. I'm shocked by that result.

Can't imagine why you weren't watching. When fossil fuel-phobic Al Gore sold his “Current TV†network to Al Jazeera, we noted the oil-based irony and mourned the passing of our favorite primetime lineup. After all, Current had been home to crackpots like Keith Olbermann and Dating Game contestants like Jennifer Granholm for the better part of ten years. That kind of crazy is hard to come by and we knew that we wouldn’t see anything quite like Current again. MSNBC does it’s best to fill the void, but it’s just not the same. Anyway, Al Jazeera America premiered a little...

The Muslim Brotherhood and Al Jazeera America were undone by their own hubris. There’s a lesson there, but Qatar’s arrogant rulers aren’t likely to learn it. When Al Jazeera America was announced, the Qatari propaganda network was riding high. Once known as a dump for Al Qaeda videos, the Arab Spring had allowed the House of Thani to project its power across the region, toppling governments and replacing them with its Muslim Brotherhood allies. Qatar had been notorious for its ties to Al Qaeda, but those connections had done little for the oil-rich oligarchy. The Muslim Brotherhood however handed Egypt...

Al Gore, Al Jazeera to Fight Over $65 Million in Court February 6, 2015 by Daniel Greenfield 0 Comments Print This Post It couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of guys. Al Gore used his contacts to get a sweetheart deal for a lefty news network no one wanted that he then sold out to the state sponsor of ISIS, Qatar’s Al Jazeera, which then used it to get even less viewers. Then Qatar screwed Al Gore. And Al Gore is suing Al Jazeera. If only they would agree to end this with an ankle-biting contest. A trial will be...

glaringly missing from the summary was mention of $15 million in fees paid by Burkle's Yucaipa Global Opportunities Fund since 2002

The winner and loser of the lawsuit between Al Jazeera America and former Current TV CEO Al Gore is yet to be determined, but ratings comparisons between the two show a clear winner. After buying Current TV in early 2013, and debuting over the summer that year, Al Jazeera has lost almost half of Current TV's audience.

This letter is being sent to you on behalf of the Qatar Awareness Campaign Coalition. The purpose is to inform you and the public of the activities of Qatar, the country which owns Al Jazeera America, the network which was established following your sale of CurrentTV to Al Jazeera for $500 million in 2013. As cited below, in fact, you and your business partner, Mr. Joel Hyatt, engaged in two major transactions with Qatar: first the purchase of Newsworld International in 2004, from which you launched CurrentTV; secondly, the selling back of the station to Qatar to broadcast Al Jazeera...

Al Jazeera America is suing former Vice President Al Gore and Joel Hyatt, the former owners of the TV network that became Al Jazeera America. The parties are fighting over money that is being held in escrow. The former vice president and Hyatt, the founder of Hyatt Legal Services, sued the network last month saying that it was improperly withholding tens of millions of dollars placed in escrow when Al Jazeera bought Current TV for $500 million. Al Jazeera America says it is entitled to the money because Gore and Hyatt agreed to indemnify the network for claims made against...

Al Gore and Joel Hyatt have filed a lawsuit against Al Jazeera claiming that the news channel is withholding money they were to receive from the sale of the network they co-founded, Current TV. Al Jazeera relaunched the network as Al Jazeera America last year. The lawsuit was filed under seal in the Delaware Court of Chancery, but Gore and Hyatt’s attorney David Boies said in a statement, “Al Jazeera America wants to give itself a discount on the purchase price that was agreed to nearly two years ago. We are asking the Court to order Al Jazeera America to...

In an April 20 (given the deep connections between the Brotherhood and the Nazi Party, the date may not have been an accident) story in the Jerusalem Post, the question was asked, Will Qatar abandon the Muslim Brotherhood? As they put it, Qatar is the only country who openly supports the Muslim Brotherhood. This followed the pressure exerted on Qatar to do just that from its three Gulf neighbors, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates. Saudi Arabia even threatened a blockade should Qatar not comply. Clearly the Brotherhood, and their revolutionary aims, had been recognized as a threat...

Cable channel Al Jazeera America, which launched less than a year ago, is slashing expenses and laying off staff as it struggles to gain a foothold in the US. The news outfit is letting go of scores of staffers after its Mideast backers spent millions getting the channel off the ground, according to sources close to the company. “They’re not making their numbers or the revenue they thought,” said a source. “They have a really convoluted background of people in from Qatar [headquarters]. They really don’t get the US market.” Al Jazeera America is averaging just 15,000 total viewers, roughly...

You may not have known it, but there is an infant-mortality crisis sweeping the country. An hour-long documentary from the new cable-news channel Al Jazeera America called attention to the situation, with correspondent Sebastian Walker reporting from Cleveland, Ohio, “America’s infant-mortality capital.” There, he spoke with new mothers about why a country that spends so much on health care is “failing to ensure the health of its newest citizens.” A disproportionate number of African-American babies die in the first year of their lives. “So you have this huge, huge disparity, and that’s kind of business as usual. It’s been going...

As if Al Gore doesn’t already have enough money after selling his failed CURRENT TV channel to the dupes at Al Jazeera for a cool half billion dollars, only to have the viewer numbers crash down so low that Nielsen won’t even rate them anymore, we have this shameless pitch from him in my inbox this morning.

After just two months on the air, Al Jazeera America is losing ground in the US.

The US offshoot of the Mideast news outfit managed fewer than half of the viewers who tuned in to its predecessor, Al Gore’s Current TV.

From one Nobel Peace Prize winner to another, this whole Keystone XL thing is an “atrocity.” Al Gore has been calling on Barack Obama to step up the fight against climate change and Keystone, most recently during an interview with The Guardian: The former vice-president said in an interview on Friday that he hoped Obama would follow the example of British Columbia, which last week rejected a similar pipeline project, and shut down the Keystone XL. “I certainly hope that he will veto that now that the Canadians have publicly concluded that it is not safe to take a pipeline...

A fiery Al Gore urged President Barack Obama on Thursday to reject the Keystone XL oil pipeline, calling the controversial project an “atrocity.” “This should be vetoed. It is an atrocity. It is a threat to our future,” the former vice president said during a Center for American Progress 10th anniversary event in Washington. Gore criticized the Canadian oil sands that the pipeline would carry, arguing that approval of the project would be akin to a desperate drug addict looking for fresh veins. “Junkies find veins in their toes when the ones in their arms and legs give out,” said...

Terror TV, Al Jazeera, is wasting no time exploiting its buy of "Current TV" to advance its malevolent jihadist propaganda. Al Jazeera-Current is going after the vocal among us who are exposing their terror ties and lies to advance sharia and jihad. They did a segment on my defense of freedom as "islamophobia." Of course Hamas-CAIR posted the video here. Al Jazeera is the leading terrorist propaganda organization in the world. Jihad murder mastermind Anwar al-Awlaki has praised Al Jazeera, and several years ago one of its most prominent reporters was arrested on terror charges. Al Jazeera also has for...

Aides to former Democratic Vice President Al Gore have failed to respond to a recent Al-Jazeera TV broadcast, in which a top imam affirmed the death penalty for anyone who quits Islam. Gore sold his Current TV network to Al-Jazeera, which now plans to extend its broadcast into the United States this summer, according to Ashok Sinha, vice president of corporate communications at Current TV/Al-Jazeera America.
