President Donald Trump delivers remarks at the 2019 National Prayer Breakfast. | (Photo: YouTube)For the first two years of his administration, President Trump failed to acknowledge June as the official pride month of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community. But this year, one day before the start of LGBT Pride, the President tweeted the following:“As we celebrate LGBT Pride Month and recognize the outstanding contributions LGBT people have made to our great Nation, let us also stand in solidarity with the many LGBT people who live in dozens of countries worldwide that punish, imprison, or even execute individuals...

Sure, The Avengers: Endgame is a conservative movie, just like Star Wars and Star Trek. “Not Star Trek!” shriek its doughy fanboys, who go on to point out how that cinematic universe embraces collectivism: the characters all conform, have no money and don’t believe in God.Fine, then Star Trek is a millennial movie series. No, scratch that – Captain Kirk used to get babes and millennials are famously barren. Now, it’s not like Avengers is blatant about its politics, as if the characters chose up sides in some sort of civil war. Oh wait, they did do that a few movies ago,...

Austrian Vice Chancellor vows to fight the Islamic “population exchange” “Austrian Vice-Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache alluded to the impact of mass migration and demographic changes on the country, saying his party would fight against ‘population exchange'”. “Population exchange” is another expression for Islamization and/or jihad by immigration, also referenced simply as the hijrah. French Archbishop of Strasbourg Luc Ravel also spoke of the term’s concept in reference to a demographic shift, saying, “Muslim believers know very well that their birthrate is such that today, they call it … the Great Replacement, they tell you in a very calm, very positive way...

Alright, that’s it! I can’t take it anymore. The Game of Thrones hype has gone too far when the Red Cross is camping out in local churches and offering commemorative posters to its congregants for donating blood. Seriously? Come on, people. Game of Thrones isn’t even thinly veiled porn, it’s just porn. Full stop. Stop telling me how good the story is; you sound dumber than those guys who claim to read Playboy for the articles. Just admit what everyone knows: Game of Thrones is porn and you like it. I have no idea how anyone watches this show with...

There’s at least one area of agreement among conservative, centrist and liberal leaders in the United Methodist Church: America’s largest mainline Protestant denomination is on a path toward likely breakup over differences on same-sex marriage and ordination of LGBT pastors. The differences have simmered for years, and came to a head in February at a conference in St. Louis where delegates voted 438-384 for a proposal called the Traditional Plan, which strengthens bans on LGBT-inclusive practices. A majority of U.S.-based delegates opposed that plan and favored LGBT-friendly options, but they were outvoted by U.S. conservatives teamed with most of the...

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- There are now 120 sworn officer vacancies in the Portland Police Bureau. At a City Council meeting Tuesday, Chief Danielle Outlaw shared some of the challenges they face in hiring new people and filling those positions. The assistant chief told the City Commissioners that out of more than 60 people who applied for public safety specialist jobs, only 3 passed background checks. The biggest reasons for their disqualification is past drug use or dishonesty in their application. Police applicants who have used marijuana in the past year don't pass a PPB background check because marijuana remains...

A group of German authors, comedians and academics have added fuel to the flames of an increasingly bad-tempered culture war over language bias by calling for a fightback against “ridiculous linguistic constructions” designed to make German more gender-neutral. In an open letter published by the Dortmund-based German Language Association, signatories including the philosopher Rüdiger Safranski, novelist Peter Schneider, comedian Dieter Hallervorden and the former head of the country’s domestic intelligence Hans-Georg Maassen, hit back against calls for more gender-neutral generic nouns..(snip) ...The protest letter, headed “An end to gender nonsense!” and published shortly before International Women’s Day, argues that the...

About 50 miles south and east of Rome, high in the Apennine mountains, lies the Charterhouse of Trisulti whose isolated magnificence prompted the German historian Ferdinand Gregorovius (who stumbled upon it in the 1850’s) to write in his classic work Years of Wandering in Italy, “If a place exists where the human spirit can reach the gravest and highest meditation, this must be it, in one of the most sublime states of solitude I have ever seen.” Here, in this huge deserted monastery founded in 1204, which has 15,000 square meters of roof, President Donald Trump’s former chief strategist and...

EL PASO, Texas — A museum dedicated to the history of the U.S. Border Patrol has reopened after officials say protesters vandalized exhibits during an organized demonstration earlier this month. RUSH: Grab audio sound bite No. 1. This whole thing came up on New York City radio, WNYC radio, The Brian Lehrer Show. This guy, every now and then, has to explain me to his audience. He’s got a Princeton history professor, Julian Zelizer, who’s got a new book about the history of the United States since 1974. To set it up, here’s the first bite… ZELIZER: It is true of conservatism. They are not just imagining, uh, what they don’t like. They are seeing very real changes in society, and our book does stress there are many elements to...

Ahead of next month’s special session on sexuality intended to resolve an issue that has dogged the United Methodist Church for decades, a group of affiliated college and university presidents issued a strong call for full inclusion of LGBTQ Christians. The group, which represents presidents of 93 United Methodist-affiliated colleges and universities, urged the denomination to amend its policies and practices to recognize the “sacred worth” of people regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. The three-paragraph statement won unanimous approval in a vote taken Friday (Jan. 4) by the National Association of Schools and Colleges of The United Methodist...

On Saturday, The Hill reported that Facebook, the social media giant appropriately named the “world’s most dangerous censor,” slapped evangelist Franklin Graham with a 24-hour ban over a 2016 post about North Carolina’s so-called “bathroom” bill. According to The Hill: The (Facebook) spokesperson said that Graham was mistakenly banned from the site due to the contents of a post he shared in 2016 for violating a company policy banning “dehumanizing language” and excluding people based on factors like sexual orientation and race...

Basketball star LeBron James has apologised after sharing a lyric about "Jewish money" on social media - saying he thought it was a compliment. James was called out over the lyric - which comes from a song by US rapper 21 Savage - after he shared it with his 45.8m followers on Instagram. But James said it was not his intent "to hurt anyone" with Saturday's post. "Apologies, for sure, if I offended anyone," he told sports channel ESPN on Sunday. "That's not why I chose to share that lyric. I always [post lyrics]. That's what I do. I ride...

[T]he song “Kiss The Girl,” from the Disney hit “The Little Mermaid,” is more misogynistic and dismissive of consent than cute. By performing the song multiple times each semester, the Tigertones elevate it to an offensive and violating ritual ... The premise ... is that the male Prince Eric, on a date with the beautiful female Ariel, should kiss her without asking for a single word to affirm her consent... Lyrics such as ... “she won’t say a word/Until you kiss that girl,” unambiguously encourage men to make physical advances on women without obtaining their clear consent... The song launches...

It doesn’t matter if you’re a Hispanic or black or Asian conservative in the growing #WalkAway movement from the Democratic Party; you are a white male bigot. U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas was not even included in the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Feminists have been declaring conservative women to be non-female for decades for not worshiping at the shrines of abortion and sexual anarchy. Well, a lot of people have had enough of our progressively dysfunctional culture, which is the main reason that Donald Trump was elected. Many Americans saw their country being changed beyond...

They worked in brothels frequented by troops serving on the front line in northern France, but their role has been virtually erased from the history books. Thanks to a new Roundhouse art project, Cause and Effect, to mark the centenary of the end of the conflict, the wartime sex workers have been immortalised in a film with poet Hollie McNish. McNish worked with historian Clare Makepeace from Birkbeck, University of London, to create War’s Whores, which details the “significant minority” of men paying for sex on the front line.

About a year ago I saw a feminist program which talked about how virginity wasn't such a big deal and how girls should feel free to experience their sexuality so long as pills, creams, condoms, and legal consent forms were involved. Through the course of the program the act of sex was reduced to little more than a routine biological function akin to going to the bathroom or eating. Ironically, as the program sought to warn girls about being objectified it also managed to reduce men into support systems for penises. And the sole purpose of the penis was clearly...
