More than 320 of the thousands of immigrant children who have streamed across the U.S. border from Central American countries have been placed with relatives living in Connecticut, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy said. Some activists in New Haven have pressed the administration to make the former Gateway Community College property available to house the children. One student is dead and another is charged with murder after a stabbing at a high school in Milford on Friday morning. The fatal stabbing happened at the Jonathan Law High School on Lansdale Avenue. HARTFORD — The city celebrated the UConn men's and women's basketball teams' national championships Sunday with a victory parade through downtown, and it was one of the biggest parties Hartford has ever seen.
