A teen boy slashed a 16-year-old girl to death at their Connecticut high school Friday morning — after he asked her to be his date for the junior prom and she turned him down. The girl, Maren Sanchez, had planned to go to the prom Friday night with another boy, a friend of her alleged attacker. “Yay, so excited!!!!!” she had written under a recent Sanchez’s friends recounted the morning encounter and grisly attack. “He asked her to the prom right there, and she rejected him,” Imani Langston, a junior who described herself as Sanchez’s best friend, told The Post....

One student is dead and another is charged with murder after a stabbing at a high school in Milford on Friday morning. The fatal stabbing happened at the Jonathan Law High School on Lansdale Avenue. "I saw teachers and one teacher was hysterical," said eyewitness Rebecca Golden. The victim, 16-year-old junior Maren Sanchez, was found with severe neck injuries in a stairwell by a staff member around 7:14 a.m. "There was a teacher who actually walked upon it and saw a portion of it," said Milford Police Chief Keith Mello. MILFORD, CT (WFSB) - Police responded to a stabbing at a high school in Milford on Friday morning. It happened at the Jonathan Law High School on Lansdale Avenue. Police called it an isolated incident between two students that happened inside the building. The victim was found in a stairwell.

HARTFORD — A Newbury Street resident shot at two men — hitting one — after they menaced him, rammed his car and pulled a gun on him early Saturday, police said.
