More than 200,000 people attended the March for Our Lives demonstration in Washington D.C. on Saturday, according to Digital Design & Imaging Service Inc (DDIS). The Virginia-based firm uses a proprietary method for calculating crowd size using aerial photos. The peak crowd size was 202,796 people, with a margin of error of 15 percent, the firm said. The crowd reached its largest size at 1 p.m., according to the company's estimates. The organizers put the total number of attendees at closer to 800,000.........

Trump wins, press whines If you want to understand how Trump won, you have to start with one glaringly obvious fact. He is an absolute master when it comes to manipulating the media. His ability to play the biased, mainstream, press generated millions of dollars’ worth of free airtime, deflected scandals, probably clinched the primaries, and went a long way toward forever burying the spectre of a Hillary Clinton presidency. Guess what. He’s still doing it.

I saw a new Reuters article entitled "Crowd controversy: The making of an Inauguration Day photo ," which reported that the popular images to the left and right of the CNN images ( taken from this panorama view ), were taken at different times, the one on the right of President Barack Obama's first inauguration was taken at 1:27 p.m., while Reuters reported that the other one showed U.S. President Donald Trump's inauguration at 12:01 p.m. Meanwhile, the CNN image shows Trump giving his speech, and it appears a lot of people showed up. Perhaps the traffic was such that...
  • In Presidential elections, size doesn't always matter

(CNN)It's the most deceptive sign in politics. Every four years, a presidential candidate gazes out over a vast crowd and convinces themselves the White House is there for the taking. In 2016, the general election candidate drawing the biggest and loudest crowds is Donald Trump. "We got to Oklahoma, we have 25,000 people. We had 21,000 people in Dallas, we had 35,000 people in Mobile, Alabama. We get these massive crowds," Trump said in Florida earlier this month. "Look, if she had 500 people I would be surprised," he added, poking fun at Hillary Clinton's more intimate events.During the primaries,...

The presumptive GOP presidential and vice presidential nominees Mitt Romney and Rep. Paul Ryan are attracting thousands of supporters to their campaign rallies since Mr. Romney named Mr Ryan to the bottom of the ticket. However, President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are not drawing the crowds they once could. The New York Times is reporting that the Obama campaign is saying that it is intentionally limiting crowd size at their events because of security and cost: “We have plenty of time for big rallies,” a campaign spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, said between the rallies on Thursday. “Our focus...
