A couple of thousand even a few thousand in his own town forced into a small space is not a yuuge crowd.
But the media wants you to extrapolate that crowd is in a Trump sized stadium it is not

Wonder if there was no one in back of the person with the camera and if so it looks like there might be a few hundred since in the distance you can see empty road. I don’t think no where near the smallest crowd POTUS has had at his rallies.
Those folks in El Paso must agree with him to tear down that wall so they can enjoy the same crime spree that is occurring just across the border from them.

Close shot does make it look larger than it is, but I would term it as “small” as opposed to “tiny” until one considers that this is beta maile’s home turf. “Tiny” becomes correct imo.
Small crowd or not, I myself believe Beto is probably the Democrats best hope, if Biden is now off the table.
