Fire officials say 3-to-5 people were wounded in a possible officer-involved shooting in Azusa, California Tuesday. The scene is at West 4th Street and North Orange Avenue. First responders were setting up a triage area for the possibility of additional victims, NBC-LA reported. The LA County Sheriff’s Officer also deployed a helicopter. Schools and two polling locations in the area were placed on lockdown as City Officials told residents to stay indoors. Conditions were not known.

The Federal Police reported on Friday that the number of crimes increased last year by 31.6 percent, mostly due to violations of immigration laws amid the influx of refugees into the country. Three people - two of them children - were found dead, and three others were injured, in a stabbing inside a New Jersey home, according to authorities. The three victims who died have been identified as: Aerial Little Whitehurst, female, 8, of Newark; Al-Jahon Whitehurst, male, 11, of Newark; and Syasia McBurroughs, female, 23, of Cedar Knolls, according to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office. Investigators with cadaver dogs prepared themselves Friday for the possibility of more grisly discoveries near where a missing woman was rescued from a large storage container. Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright told reporters that cadaver dogs have signaled possible remains near where the woman was found. He says deputies will excavate the area. The missing woman was found Thursday "chained up like a dog" inside the container measuring about 30 feet by 15 feet. Wright says she told him the bodies of other women could be buried on the land, owned by 45-year-old Todd Christopher Kohlhepp.
