He’ll appear in 10 episodes throughout the upcoming Season 6 in an undisclosed role. Geoffrey Owens "I was really devastated," Geoffrey Owens, who lives in Montclair, said during an interview on Good Morning America. But Owens said the outpouring of support he received on social media from the entertainment industry and beyond helped him through it. NBC has scrapped a Bill Cosby comedy that was under development and TV Land will stop airing reruns of “The Cosby Show,” moves that came a day after another woman came forward claiming that the once-beloved comic had sexually assaulted her. NBC spokeswoman Rebecca Marks said Wednesday the Cosby sitcom “is no longer under development.” A TV Land representative said the reruns will stop airing immediately for an indefinite time. “The Cosby Show” also was to have been part of a Thanksgiving sitcom marathon. The NBC sitcom and “Cosby Show” reruns joined a Netflix Cosby standup comedy special, which was...

With rape allegations against Bill Cosby mounting, supermodel Janice Dickinson tells ET in a new interview that the comedian sexually assaulted her in 1982. Dickinson, now 59, recalls first meeting Cosby, now 77, when her agent set up a meeting with him to hire her for a role on The Cosby Show. After they had dinner, she says their next conversation was when he called her out of the blue while she was in rehab for drugs and alcohol. Following her stay in rehab, Dickinson says Cosby reached out to her during a trip to Bali and had her travel...

Remember Katie Couric's insipid suggestion that Americans needed a Muslim version of The Cosby Show to help us get over our seething Islamophobia? It earned derision in the blogosphere for its condescending view of the country as a hive of bigotry and its refusal to give the Islamic world any share of the blame for Islamic image problems, but PopEater reports that the idea is picking up steam among Muslims in the television industry: "We want to see a typical Arab-American family that is just like every other family in America," said Arab-American comedian Dean Obeidallah, who has developed a...

I don't know what Bill Cosby's political views are. And I don't think it was his intent to put any political messages into the show. However, watching numerous episodes recently on Nick At Night, I have noticed numerous things that, by today's standards, are politically incorrect. The show has a very, very strong support for the institution of marriage. This can be observed in many of the episodes. Most notably, watch the episode where Cliff's parents celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Look at how his parents stare into each other's eyes. This episode is very powerful. And there are plenty...
