A carbon capture company is hoping to install a 1,300 mile pipeline across the Midwest, with injection points in Central Illinois. The Heartland Greenway Project, created by the company Navigator CO2, hopes to stop 15 million tons of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere each year. "Which is equivalent of removing the greenhouse gas emissions of 3.2 million vehicles driven annually," Danielle Anderson, Public Affairs Manager for Navigator CO2, said during a virtual town hall Wednesday night. The company plans to take CO2 from more than 20 ethanol and fertilizer plants across the midwest, pressurize it into a liquid, and...

The world’s most wealthy, communist financier, a notorious atheist, is stealthily coordinating the deconstruction of America’s sovereignty and dismantling of our sovereign borders by infiltrating the nation’s most historically conservative channel: The Christian Church. The Southern Baptist Church (SBC), the largest Evangelical and Protestant denomination in the United States, is in damage control mode attacking conservative publications for exposing its ties to political puppet master billionaire George Soros. Breitbart News revealed the SBC’s links to Soros in a December report warning the Soros-funded Evangelical Immigration Table, a coalition of Evangelical Christian organizers that support amnesty for illegal aliens and open...

... Until recently, the consequences of climate change were thought to be so far into the future that many average people, including those who live in coastal zones, declared they needn’t bother; they’d be long dead by the time catastrophe struck. No more. Climate change is here, costing billions of dollars every year to recover from destructive events. Without adapting to that new reality, the world will confront rising costs of disasters that put economic growth, health, and in some places, even survival at risk. To spur action, a coalition led by billionaire Bill Gates, former United Nations Secretary General...

Remember the special frock that Lady M donned to return to the prison of the White House last Sunday? It’s been driving me crazy. I knew it reminded me of something other than my Aunt Irene circa 1952 butt couldn’t quite put my finger on it. And then, while in sleep mode, it popped up on my server! It’s from the August 21, 2010 post, Big Guy, All Books, No Grapes. Sure enough, there she was, Lady M play-acting the role of Imogene in Paper Moon.Imogene and Addie – Paper MoonIn case you don’t recall the movie it’s a 1973...

Mrs. Joe got a call on her cell phone purporting to be from the "American Publisher's Clearing House", informing her she had won $385,000.00 and a new Mercedes. The guy on the other end, who identified himself as "Mike Williams" had a bit of an accent, and having a better ear for such, she handed me the phone after telling the fellow he should talk to her husband. When I answered, he laid out a convoluted plan to retrieve the winnings, complete with a confirmation number and check number, and told me to call their 866 number to punch in...

It's not often that I'll write approvingly of an article in The New York Times, but for Sharon LaFraniere's masterful deconstruction of the Pigford Scandal, I'll make an exception. Pigford, you may recall, was first exposed by Andrew Breitbart and because of it he was sued, dismissed and lampooned by the Democrat-Media Complex. The term vindication was invented for situations like this. Ever since the Clinton administration agreed in 1999 to make $50,000 payments to thousands of black farmers, the Hispanics and women had been clamoring in courtrooms and in Congress for the same deal. They argued, as the African-Americans...

A bipartisan group of former U.S. foreign policy officials, military leaders and lawmakers pushed on Monday for action on addressing climate change in poor nations, arguing it represents a major national security threat. **SNIP** Reagan administration Secretary of State George Shultz signed on, as did George W. Bush Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage and former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge. Sixteen former members of Congress also signed on, many of whom took leading roles on foreign affairs and defense committees. Those on the letter include former Sens. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) and Dick Lugar (R-Ind.), and former Republican Reps. Sherwood...

Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA) reminded President Obama and his Attorney General Eric Holder that Obama isn’t King of the United States of America and can’t ignore the powers of Congress. After 14 months of refusing to give the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee documents relating to the Fast and Furious fiasco, the committee, chaired by Issa, voted to hold Holder in contempt this week. Chairman Issa didn’t schedule the vote until after President Obama, arrogant as ever and determined to pick a fight with Congress, exerted his executive privilege to block Holder from releasing any additional documents to the...

Henry Wallace’s Progressive Party of the 1940s was nothing but a tool the Communist Party USA – and by extension, the Soviet Union. Today’s Democratic Party is also heavily infiltrated by the now pro Chinese Communist Party USA and their almost as equally extreme comrades from Democratic Socialists of America. Here’s an interesting picture from the 1940s. Henry Wallace chatting with Chicago journalist and Progressive Party supporter Vernon Jarrett. It turns out that around this time Vernon Jarrett was a leader of the Chicago chapter of American Youth for Democracy – the youth wing of the Communist Party. Chicago communist...

May 27, 2011, 12:01 a.m. EDT Why men are easy prey for investment scams Know if you’re vulnerable to fraud and protect yourself By Robert Powell, MarketWatch BOSTON (MarketWatch) — As someone whose family was affected personally by the Bernie Madoff scheme, and as someone who knew Brad Bleidt, a Boston-based scam artist who misdeeds preceded Madoff’s, I’m deeply concerned about the issue of investment fraud. So, too, is John Gannon, the president of the Education Foundation at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, known as Finra. Gannon was among those who spoke this week at Boston University’s Future of Lifecycle...

CANBERRA, Australia -- Recent short-term cooling of global temperatures shouldn't be misinterpreted as meaning an end to global warming, an Australian expert says. Barrie Wanker-Hunt of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization says overall global warming is happening despite natural variability that can bring periods where the global climate can be either cooler or warmer than usual. Seasonal cold spells can still be expected under enhanced greenhouse conditions, he says. "Future changes in global temperature as the concentration of greenhouse gases increases will not show a simple year-on-year increase but will vary around a background of long-term warming," he...

China on Friday demanded the White House cancel a meeting between US President Barack Obama and the Dalai Lama, warning that already strained ties between the two powers would be damaged further. Beijing reacted angrily to the White House announcement that Obama would next week receive the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader, accused by China of seeking independence for his homeland. "We firmly oppose the Dalai Lama visiting the United States and US leaders having contact with him," foreign ministry spokesman Ma Zhaoxu said. "We urge the US side to fully understand the high sensitivity of Tibet-related issues, and honour its...
