Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton’s got lots of mail. Mail she shouldn’t have From the ‘Believe it or Not Department’ of the cunning Obama administration: America’s National Security Agency (NSA) retrieves and stockpiles millions of incoming and outgoing emails of government agencies and from the public at large—but not any coming in or going out from Hillary Clinton’s private home email accounts! How’s that for exclusionary covert operations by Tokyo Rose Clinton during her 4-year gig as Barack Obama’s Secretary of State—most tellingly including during the Benghazi scandal? During the Benghazi scandal, for which the Obama administration has yet to come clean,...

A friend of mine called in a panic. She received a pop up on her IMac saying her computer was compromised ahd that she should call "Apple Tech Support" at 1-800-656-8559. She called the number and was scammed for her credit card number to allegedly fix the problem. She has canceled her card and was told the charge would be removed and a new card issued. It's unclear whether the scammer has harvested any other sensitive information from her computer. I told her to call the real Apple tech support number, but is there anything else she should do? If...

Just a quick question. I'd like to get rid of Firefox and replace it. Party due to the ousting of Brendan Eich, partly because it keeps on wanting to install updates on my Mac, and then giving me the pinwheel of death. Google Chrome is out due to Net Neutrality. I've heard of Chromium or Pale Moon. Can anyone give decent suggestions please? Thanks!

IÂ’ll be honest, when it comes to coding IÂ’m just about the last person anyone would consider asking advice from. DonÂ’t get me wrong, I find what programmers do to be both extremely interesting, and (of course) integral to our continued push for innovation in a digitized world, but studying the developers at my day job is like monitoring a team of archaeologists making sense out of hieroglyphics. There are countless people who feel the same way, which is unfortunate since development is a potentially rewarding career path, and one thatÂ’s constantly expanding. One of the stumbling blocks, as mentioned...

trying to hook my dvd/vcr combo up to cable box and TV but need an RF converter I guess as the DVD won't play on my older SD tv without the RF modulator- TV has composite connectors yellow/white/red, plus component blue/green/red, plus 1 S-Video connector- the cable box and dvd/vcr combo also has all three connections, but the RF modulator only has composite yellow/red/white and S-Video connection, plus coaxial in and out- I want the best picture possible, what wires am I going to need? Am I stuck having to use composite wires? The problem I'm facing is trying to...
  • Students design plastic recycler to make 3D-printing super cheap

A couple of forward-thinking engineering students from the University of British Columbia have put together a little machine that grinds up used plastics and turn them into usable filaments for 3D-printing. It’s called the ProtoCycler, and it’ll generate a kilogram spool of filament for free (negating the cost of electricity of course) if you have some soda pop bottles lying around. The concept behind the 3D-printer add-on was simple—combine a filament extruder and plastic grinder into one contraption. (COMPARISON-CHART-AT-LINK)The ProtoCycler can churn out 10 feet of filament a minute, which makes it the fastest extruder on the market according to...

The revelation that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's use of an insecure private email account for top secret communications has even liberal commentators concerned. On MSNBC's TV news show Morning Joe, Lawrence O'Donnell, a self-described “practical European socialist,” observed that “e-mail system was set up obviously to defy the freedom of Information Act.” Co-Host, Mika Brzezinski agreed saying “this wasn't honest.” On the other hand, State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf attempted to rebuff criticism by repeating Clinton's infamous “what difference does it make at this point?” remark the then Secretary of State made in her appearance before a Congressional...

Finding Excellence in Journalism among the jellyfish journalists of the day is a lost cause The mainstream media’s ‘Grouse of the Day’ shouldn’t be why Hillary Clinton reportedly will not be taking any questions at the Toner Prize Celebration, an event honoring “excellence in journalism”, but why Clinton, of all people, would be keynote speaker at such an event. “Organizers of the March 23 Toner Prize Celebration, which is named after the late New York Times reporter Robin Toner, told the Center for Public Integrity the event would be open to reporters. However, the keynote speaker, Clinton, does not plan...
  • The CIA Is Investing In 3D Printers That Can Build Electronics

The 3D printing industry is still very much in its infancy. But that could change if the CIA has its way. The intelligence agency's venture capital firm just invested in Voxel8, the company behind the first multi-material, 3D electronics printer. What does the CIA want with 3D printing? We can only guess at this point, but we may hear stories one day of how some futuristic James Bond 3D-printed his own gadgets in the field. What's the potential impact for consumers? The move might just jumpstart a field that has so far been struggling to find its footing. Voxel8 says...

Can you imagine a world where your home, your vehicles, your appliances and every single electronic device that you own is constantly connected to the Internet? This is not some grand vision that is being planned for some day in the future. This is something that is being systematically implemented right now. In 2015, we already have “smart homes”, vehicles that talk to one another, refrigerators that are connected to the Internet, and televisions that spy on us. Our world is becoming increasingly interconnected, and that opens up some wonderful possibilities. But there is also a downside. What if we...

If you had the choice between a life of great wealth and fame as opposed to the daily inquisition and criticism that comes with the presidency, which would you choose? The revelations, reported initially in the most left-wing newspaper in the nation, The New York Times, that Hillary Clinton used her own private emails to conduct public business, suggests that there are forces within the Democratic Party that do not want her to be its candidate for President in 2016. It’s not like Hillary did not know she was supposed to use the State Department’s email system for reasons of...

Ukrainians have released a video of a new crowdfunded tank that they hope to equip with missile launchers and/or machine guns. The small prototype was created together by a local volunteer movement called “the People’s Project” which is fundraising to buy weaponry and necessary items for the military through a dedicated crowdfunding website. Tested The First People's Tank. Analyze and fix flaws. Further establishing combat module and setup software to control it. One thing you can depend on, Apple is going to pack all kinds of goodies into its technology that offer the potential to transform the functionality of these devices and transform how you communicate with your customers. A case in point is Apple’s Indoor Positioning functionality, which Apple has updated for iOS 8 to provide facility owners with indoor latitude, longitude and floor level via API. To utilize Indoor Positioning in their own app, facility owners will need to survey their facility using Apple tools and upload a map to the Maps Indoor interface. Once that is done, the technology...
  • How 3D Printing Could End The Deadly Shortage Of Donor Organs

    The Huffington Post ^ | March 2, 2015 | Macrina Cooper-White
Three-dimensional printing has been used to make everything from pizza to prostheses, and now researchers are working on using the emerging technology to fabricate hearts, kidneys, and other vital human organs. That would be very big news, as the number of people who desperately need an organ transplant far outstrips the number of donor organs available. On average, about 21 Americans die every day because a needed organ was unavailable. What exactly is the promise of 3D printing organs and tissues, or "bioprinting?" How does the technology work, and when might it start saving lives? For answers to these and...

It isnÂ’t often that you come across new 3D printers that utilize an entirely new concept which hasnÂ’t been seen within this industry as of yet. With todayÂ’s technology, we are able to 3D print objects in hundreds of different materials, but when it comes to printing with metals, most of these machines are out our price ranges. 3D metal printers are mainly reserved for large corporations, as they come with price tags in excess of $250,000. However, as technology advances, we may one day soon be able to 3D print metal objects from the comfort of our own homes,...

Concrete is an amazing building material: cheap to create, strong when used correctly, and hard-wearing, too. But turning it into exotic and shapely forms can be prohibitively complex and expensive. Now, a 3D printer capable of producing one-off moulds as large as a phone booth could help turn architectural dreamw into affordable reality. The Engineer reports that a collaboration between 3Dealise, a 3D engineering company, and Bruil, a construction company, has spawned the new device. The pair claim that the machine—pictured below—can "create irregularly curved surfaces, lightweight half-open mesh or honeycomb structures, and even ornamental craftwork." The printer is used...

Anxious to rescue the Internet from what Federal Communications Chairman Tom Wheeler called a "regime of anarchy," the FCC approved over 300 pages of new rules designed "to bring order to this disorderly segment of our society." "Right now, pretty much anyone with access to the web can do or say whatever he wants," Wheeler pointed out. "This is very distressing to President Obama. At his urging we have adopted rules modeled on policies laid down by our agency in the 1930s." While loath to go into specifics "so as not to lose the very useful element of surprise as...

Internet is a medium by which every one may publish to every one. The medium must not can not be regulated. Regulation is an abridgment of the freedom of speech and of "the press" Internet is “the tyrant’s foe, and the people’s friend” The FCC is seizing control of the medium. They claim laws of the 1930's as their authority. The 1930's are well before computers and internet existed. The FCC has no authority to regulate the medium. There can be no authority to control the medium.
