It's a simple rule-of-thumb to follow when you have a rat problem, according to Corrigan, who has a Ph.D. in urban rats studies and advises cities, including the District. “The rats do not like to chew into bleach tasting anything,” he says. “If the outside of the can smells like bleach to that famous nose of theirs, they're like, 'Well, this ain't food.’”
  • Stocks of hand sanitizer, Lysol and Clorox wipes won't return to normal until AUGUST, supply chain experts predict

Cleaning products and hand sanitizers will not be fully stocked at stores and online retailers for several more months supply chain experts have said. As coronavirus became more widespread in the United States and social distancing measures got stricter brand name household cleaning products like Lysol and Clorox quickly sold out across the country and germ-killers such as Purell became reserved for frontline businesses. America's popular brands have not been able to keep up with the demand of panic buyers as most of the raw materials are obtained from China and stocks likely won't return to pre-pandemic levels until July...

RUSH: Now, another controversy that sprung up out there that happens — I don’t know — at least once a week. The Drive-By Media is attempting to persuade and convince people that Donald Trump told people to drink Drano at the White House press briefing yesterday. That Donald Trump told people to go out and get a syringe and inject Clorox in their arms, and that this could be dangerous, that Donald Trump is killing people now in the White House press briefing. There was a reporter from the Washington Post in the briefing. He brought a guy out who...
  • The Problem with Lysol [Disenfectant Spray to battle bacteria/viruses]

Wikipedia has info on the corporation that owns LYSOL. Link to entry: Reckitt Benckiser This company is based in the UK and has connections to the Netherlands. It is unclear where its manufacturing is done. Basically, stores are out of Lysol products such as the disenfectant spray and Lysol wipes. One can get OZIUM as a replacement. According to literature on OZIUM, hospitals use OZIUM. Right now (in my opinion), there should be disenfectant sprays and disenfectant wipes available. Maybe someone can start an American corporation to compete with Lysol. A good place would be the Texas/Louisiana Gulf coast because...

In the wake of two videos allegedly showing Planned Parenthood officials discussing the sale of aborted fetal body parts, Republicans in Congress are working to ensure that Planned Parenthood is stripped of its federal funding. However, it’s not only the government that fills Planned Parenthood’s coffers. According to 2nd Vote, a website and app that tracks the flow of money from consumers to political causes, more than 25 percent of Planned Parenthood’s $1.3-billion annual revenue comes from private donations, which includes corporate contributions. 2nd Vote researched the corporations and organizations to find which supported Planned Parenthood and found that more...
  • Not brushing your teeth can trigger dementia and heart disease

My dental health is something I have always taken seriously — and as a gadget fan, I’ve spent hundreds of pounds on the latest high-tech electronic toothbrushes and expensive toothpastes, gels and mouthwashes. But then I had to go without brushing my teeth for a fortnight. This was for a new two-part series on dental health for the BBC, and what we discovered was truly eye-opening, with implications not just for me, but for all of us. My wife was anything but keen on the no-brushing experiment and there was a lot less kissing during that fortnight. And she was...

The liberal is a particular breed of herd animal, a breed which tramples all to get to the front of the stampede, leaving behind nothing but a wide trail of destruction and feces. Such as it is with the latest eruption of bat guano that advanced the notion anything can be racist.  Kimberly Ross aptly described this mindset as “Generation Wuss,” but now that the stampede has started, the faster hooves are trampling into what can only be described as harebrained absurdity. At least Generation Wuss had the decorum to publish their declarations in The New York Times, with proper grammar and an...

Clorox is shutting down all operations in Venezuela, citing restrictions by the government, supply disruptions and economic uncertainty. […] The consumer products company said that for almost three years its affiliate, Corporación Clorox de Venezuela S.A., had to sell more than two-thirds of its products at prices frozen by the Venezuelan government. Over that same time span, there was a sharp rise in inflation that resulted in significantly higher costs for Clorox. …

A study examining the prevalence of the fungus Fusarium in bathroom sink drains suggests that plumbing systems may be a common source of human infections. In the first extensive survey of its kind, researchers in Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences sampled nearly 500 sink drains from 131 buildings -- businesses, homes, university dormitories and public facilities -- in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and California. They analyzed fungal DNA to compare the spectrum of Fusarium species and sequence types found in drains with those recovered from human infections. The study identified at least one Fusarium...

Clorox: "Decision not to advertise on political talk shows" Cites shows which "distort" facts to "blatantly partisan advantage"; Scope remains unclearClorox Inc. appears to be following in the footsteps of WalMart, by announcing it would be no longer "advertise on political talk shows". Clorox said they "do not want to be associated with inflammatory speech used by either liberal or conservative talk show hosts". The scope of this new policy remains unclear. WalMart itself told DefendGlenn.com on August 19th that it was removing "all advertising" from cable news talk, which we were led to understand meant EVENING shows, including MSNBC...

Over the years, Peter Lynch has taken some flak for suggesting that investors looking for ideas should open up the fridge and make a list. Some of that flak wasn't entirely fair, because Lynch did caution that this maxim was merely a starting point. In fact, if you open your fridge and cupboards today and make a list of ideas to invest in, you'll do reasonably well. A number of well-known companies such as Procter & Gamble (NYSE: PG), Clorox (NYSE: CLX), Church & Dwight (NYSE: CHD), and Motley Fool Inside Value selection Colgate-Palmolive (NYSE: CL) trade at prices that...
