On July 19, 2004, it was revealed that the U.S. Justice Department was investigating Berger for unauthorized removal of classified documents in October 2003 from a National Archives reading room prior to testifying before the 9/11 Commission. The documents were five classified copies of a single report commissioned from Richard Clarke covering internal assessments of the Clinton Administration's handling of the unsuccessful 2000 millennium attack plots. An associate of Berger said Berger took one copy in September 2003 and four copies in October 2003.

Say No to a U.S.-EU Merger As negotiations continue toward immersing the United States in another sovereignty-compromising trade pact, it's hardly surprising to know that proper warnings were issued about such an agreement in The New American magazine five years ago. TNA's May 12, 2008 feature article entitled “Transatlantic Two-Step” reported that German Chancellor Angela Merkel and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso met with President George W. Bush in the White House to discuss the ongoing negotiations that would tie our country with the European Union. In his statement at the close of the meeting, Mr. Bush didn’t...
  • Muslims kill dogs everywhere. When they get strong enough they will kill dogs here

Watch how a plain speaking American explains why Muslims kill dogs and the lengths they will go to carry out deadly attacks on dogs where they feel they safely can. The tipping point seems to be 6%. When the Islamic population hits that number they start their attacks on “man’s best Friend.” What do we do about this?

This image show attendees at a conference in Saudi Arabia on the topic ‘women in society’ – and not a single one is female. The conference, reportedly held at the University of Qassim last year, was attended by representatives from 15 nations, apparently all men. The seats in the hall are filled with men in traditional Arab dress apart from one wearing a blue chequered shirt. The photograph was published in a Saudi newspaper last year, and has since been making the rounds on social networks. Twitter users have branded the image ‘absurd’, ‘the height of misogyny’ and ‘astonishing’ as...

    06/28/2013 9:14:45 AM PDT · by opentalk · 16 replies
Foreign Policy: In the latest twist in our upside-down war on terror, President Obama withdraws troops fighting terrorists in Afghanistan and sends others to Egypt to protect a regime that supports terrorists. According to reports, the commander-in-chief is deploying a riot-control unit from Fort Hood to Egypt to help the Islamofascist regime there repel its own citizens protesting increasing human-rights violations. More than 400 Army soldiers from the Texas base will soon man posts throughout Egypt as part of a nine-month "peacekeeping mission." They've been trained to respond to threats, including protests and riots. "Soldiers encountered Molotov cocktails and other...

Get ready for a new round of really gross Weiner puns: Anthony Weiner, the former congressman who resigned in disgrace for sending crotch-shots to random ladies on the Internet and then lying about it, is now leading the Democratic primary race for the next mayor of New York. Your eyes do not deceive you, reader: Anthony Weiner is leading the race for mayor. An NBC/Wall Street Journal poll has Weiner at 25 percent to Christine Quinn's 20 percent, and 49 percent of voters now say they are at least open to voting for Weiner, up from the 40 percent who...

Out of the too-hilarious-for-a-joke file — and from the pro-life LifeNews.com — comes this delightful report on Chelsea Clinton’s thoughts on the difficult lives of our ancestors: From the stage at the recent Women Deliver conference, former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s daughter Chelsea revealed that her much-admired maternal grandmother was the child of unwed teenage parents who “did not have access to services that are so crucial that Planned Parenthood helps provide.” Chelsea’s grandmother was born of an unintended pregnancy. Anyone would be tempted to go for the cheap gag here — “I wish your grandmother had been...

Muslim terrorists and their enablers like to complain about how America has military bases in Muslim countries. Even people such as half-crazy republican congressman Ron Paul constantly bring it up, erroneously blaming our global footprint for Islamic terrorist attacks against us (those of us who know history know better). Yet only rarely, and at the margins, is the truth pointed out that our enemy has thousands, literally thousands, of military bases here in the United States, and even more in Europe for that matter. Don’t just take my word for it, listen to Turkish prime minister Recep Erdogan, from a...

That's the heading on the first page of the court order obtained theGuardian. Top Secret is one of the highest levels of security classification in the U.S. government; the other initials indicate that this is "special intelligence," aka "signals intelligence," one of the most closely guarded capabilities of the U.S. intelligence community, and that it should not shown to any foreigners. Ironically and disturbingly, a British newspaper obtained this document. ... I have no idea who this intelligence officer is, but he (or she) has committed a serious crime by the unauthorized disclosure of such sensitive information. He needs to...

Anthony Weiner had it all. Had. And will never have again. As a powerful progressive congressman who never had a serious election challenge before 2010, he was considered the heir to Senator Chuck Schumer’s throne. He also had an early lead for the 2013 mayoral election–a position he had been vying for since his 2005 defeat in the Democrat primary. And with one tweet it was all gone. Despite Weiner’s ambition to rise again to become New York’s mayor, the electoral and demographic math simply isn’t there... --snip-- What Weiner and all the other non-Quinn candidates are hoping for is...

The terrorist attack in Benghazi is far more disturbing than previously thought. Although it has not been reported in the U.S. media, the possibility exists that the Egyptian government may have played an operational role in the attack. YouTube videos of the terrorist strike raise a serious problem that only an Arabic speaker would detect: some of the terrorists are speaking in the Egyptian dialect of the Arabic language. Indeed, one of the videos shot with a cell phone of one of the attackers emerged around the time four Americans were killed. It shows a mob approaching the American compound...

Senior Israeli media figures are voicing outrage at a revelation this weekend that former U.S. President Bill Clinton received $500,000 for a gala speech later this month in honor of Israeli President Shimon Peres’s 90th birthday. The commissioned speech at the Peres Academic Center in Rehovot is expected to last 45 minutes, meaning each minute is costing sponsors $11,111. According to Israeli news accounts, the large sum will go to the William J. Clinton Foundation which focuses its efforts on a range of causes including economic, health, leadership and environmental. The Jewish National Fund paid the half-million dollar fee to...

An Egyptian magazine claims that six American Islamist activists who work with the Obama administration are Muslim Brotherhood operatives who enjoy strong influence over U.S. policy. The Dec. 22 story published in Egypt's Rose El-Youssef magazine (read an IPT translation here) suggests the six turned the White House "from a position hostile to Islamic groups and organizations in the world to the largest and most important supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood." The story is largely unsourced, but its publication is considered significant in raising the issue to Egyptian readers. The six named people include: Arif Alikhan, assistant secretary of Homeland...

We are witnesses to murder, and our governments are accomplices. The relentless destruction of the last remnants of the Middle East’s Judeo-Christian civilization is well under way. And we are silent. Captives of political correctness, our governments cater to radical immigrant tantrums as our leaders contort the truth to deny the existence of Islamist terrorism. Meanwhile, our Middle Eastern “allies” and foes alike eradicate thousands of years of Jewish and Christian heritage. Our diplomats treat the persecution as a minor embarrassment, best ignored. The banishments and butchery aren’t new, but the breakdown of the last rotting order in the wake of the “Arab Spring”...

In what is tantamount to an admission of the abandonment of journalistic impartiality, the New York Times Public Editor, Margaret Sullivan submitted an analysis of the paper's coverage of the resurrection of Mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner's career. In a navel-gazing column designed to explore the various ways the Times has reported on Weiner's re-entry to the political scene in New York, Sullivan compares the April Times Magazine cover story to a People Magazine puff piece on Hollywood celebrities: (emphasis added) This kind of hard-nosed skepticism has sometimes been in short supply in recent weeks when it comes to the former...

Anthony Weiner recently announced his intention to run for mayor of New York City. As a resident living in Manhattan, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo was right on the money when he said “shame on us” if New York City voters elect Weiner as their mayor. Governor Cuomo now says he was just kidding. But even the possibility of a Weiner victory is no joke. Weiner’s foolish sexting, which brought an abrupt and disgraceful end to his congressional term, displays a serious lack of judgment that alone should disqualify him. But that is only a side show to the main...

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Protesters rallied in dozens of cities Saturday as part of a global protest against seed giant Monsanto and the genetically modified food it produces, organizers said. Organizers said "March Against Monsanto" protests were held in 52 countries and 436 cities, including Los Angeles where demonstrators waved signs that read "Real Food 4 Real People" and "Label GMOs, It's Our Right to Know."… The U.S. Senate this week overwhelmingly rejected a bill that would allow states to require labeling of genetically modified foods.

Democrats are obviously not happy with the idea of disgraced former Congressman Anthony Weiner running for mayor of New York City. In an editorial meeting with some local newspapers, New York governor Andrew Cuomo said "shame on us," if Weiner is elected. Rogers: "So if Anthony Weiner wants to run for mayor, he can run for mayor." Cuomo: "He runs? He runs." Rogers: "And if we elect him?" Cuomo: "Shame on us." Other than the fact that his own Democrats are already turning against him, Weiner has a number of other problems on his hands above and beyond the extra-marital...
