    The crash happened around 1 p.m. Friday in the Imperial Sand Dune Recreation Area, where four people were traveling in a 2022 Can-Am Maverick UTV. The vehicle was driving along the side of a sand dune when, “for reasons still under investigation, the Can-Am began overturning down the sand dune,” California Highway Patrol officials said in a news release. The cinematographer was partially ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash, CHP said.     Cinematographer Haskell Wexler, the socially conscious two-time Academy Award winner who lensed Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and many other masterpieces, has died.     Czech cinematographer Miroslav Ondricek, who was nominated for Oscar twice and cooperated with Czech-born director Milos Forman, died on Saturday evening at the age of 80, Martha Issova, partner of his son David, told CTK today. Ondricek is famous in the Czech Republic and abroad primarily for his cooperation with Forman in Czechoslovakia and in the United States. Both film-makers are leading personalities of the Czech New Film Wave of the 1960s.
