Little Known Facts About Chuck Norris Chuck Norris' tears cure cancer. Too bad he has never cried. Rather than being birthed like a normal child, Chuck Norris instead decided to punch his way out of his mother's womb. Shortly thereafter he grew a beard. With President George W. Bush's efforts to overhaul Social Security in deep trouble, the fate of the White House's top domestic priority now sits squarely on the shoulders of Senate Finance Committee Chairman Charles F. Grassley (R-Iowa), whose panel will try to draft a bill by summer. But Grassley tells BusinessWeek he'll abandon Bush's goal of creating private accounts if that's what it takes to pass legislation that restores financial stability to the retirement program (see BW Online, 04/28/05, "Grassley: 'It's All on the Table'").http://www.businessweek.com/bwdaily/dnflash/apr2005/nf20050428_2827_db052.htm "I'm hoping the Senate will decide to include personal accounts," he says. "But if they...

I guess this should be filed in the "Washington Politics" thread ... I'm an African American registered Democrat. I don't mind giving conservative Republicans hell when they deserve it. But unlike many conservative, I don't mind speaking out against my Party when I think they are wrong and encouraging them to do the right thing. Anyway, white liberals are having fits about the article posted below, which was written by me and published on my blog, in Black newspapers across the country, and at the liberal Daily Kos blog. I'm posting the article here because I'd like to have some...

CLINTON: 'FIX IT, DON'T NIX IT' 2 hours, 53 minutes ago President Bush hit the road for his Social Security overhaul in New Jersey yesterday — while in New York, Sens. At Pace University, Clinton ran a "fix it, don't nix it" rally where Schumer told of a time before Social Security when seniors...

Why I Write These Columns: An Open Letter To Christian Conservatives By Chuck Baldwin Food For Thought From The Chuck Wagon January 30, 2004 My purpose in writing these columns is to make people think, to confront current events and trends with an intense appreciation for truth. My desire is also to awaken a lethargic population to an ever increasing societal, cultural, political, and spiritual departure from America's historic Christian roots and from a commitment to constitutional government. When I confronted the foibles and fallacies of President Bill Clinton, Christian conservatives hailed me a hero. I was deluged with congratulatory...
