A woman who is 5 months pregnant is planning to travel from Texas to New Mexico today to have a late-term abortion because the unborn child she is carrying has been diagnosed as having Down syndrome. Local New Mexico-based pro-life advocate Tara Shaver tells LifeNews she was contacted by the pro-life community in Lubbock, Texas this past weekend about the woman and her husband and their plans to have an abortions. Shaver is concerned that the Christian church the couple attends in Texas is counseling them to have an abortion, or at least defending the decision because the baby is...

We’ve been hearing about the issue of sibling abuse lately because of the Duggar situation. How should Christians handle issues of abuse? First and foremost, it’s important for parents to not ignore the suspected abuse. Sometimes the thought is almost too much to comprehend, so it’s easier to just assume the best and hope it’s not happening—and that’s a big mistake. The best thing parents can do is address the situation head-on. I would encourage parents to speak to a qualified child psychologist in their area. Then I always recommend that when it doubt, always contact law enforcement. This is...

In Korea, the only "god" he knew was the country's leader, Kim Il-Sung, and any perceived blasphemy against him could land a person in a prison camp. So when Joseph Kim finally crossed the Tumen river into China, he did what he was told—follow the cross—even though he didn't know what a cross or a Christian was. Kim tells his story in a new book, Under the Same Sky: From Starvation in North Korea to Salvation in America (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt), and at a time when North Korea occasionally surfaces in the headlines for its continuing beligerence towards the...

Ask any sidewalk counselor. Odds are he or she has heard some version of this from those heading into the abortion clinic: “I know it's wrong. But I'm a Christian and I've prayed about it and I know God will forgive. His grace is greater than all my sin.” What's wrong with this picture? (Other than the fact that a baby is about to be deliberately put to death.) Most Christians instinctively sense something's desperately out of whack here. But what? Sadly, few seem able to put their finger on it. Sadder still is that after they sift through their...

A documentary film series produced in 2013, but one I have only recently viewed, maintains that the modern church’s stand in accepting birth control is contrary to centuries of early church teaching. Birth Control The Movie was directed by Kevin Peeples based on his own personal journey to answer the question: As a Christian, is birth control up to us? Little did he realize that his journey coincided with producers Scott Matthew Dix and Nathan Nicholson. The series consists of two DVD’s: BIRTH CONTROL: How Did We Get Here?, which looks into why there is no fundamental difference between the...

Girls throw flower petals during a procession celebrating the feast of the Body and Blood of Christ in Minsk, Belarus, in May 2011. (CNS photo/Vladimir Nikolsky, Reuters) There is a place in Slovakia called Bardejovska Nova Ves where pro-lifers have erected a poignant monument to the Unborn Child. It portrays a weeping mother, on her knees before a translucent child figure, depicted extending its hand towards the mother’s head in a gesture of forgiveness.  The heartbreaking scene, placed at the geographical center of the European continent, brings home to observers the common cultural ground the remains at the end...

A woman whose mom works at FPA abortion clinic told a pro-lifer that she believes that her mom knows Jesus. The conversation shows how watered down the Gospel of Jesus Christ which commands us to “take up our cross and follow Him daily” has become to some people who do not read it in the fear of God. In the video the driver is asked by the pro-lifer, “Do you know Jesus?” “I know Jesus,” she replies. “And, your mamma works at an abortion clinic,” she is asked. A Syrian Christian fighter has beheaded an Islamic State group (IS) militant to avenge people "executed" by the jihadists in northeastern Syria, a monitor said on Friday. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the incident took place on Thursday in Hasakeh province, where IS holds large areas of the countryside. According to the monitor, the Christian fighter, a member of the minority Assyrian community, found the jihadist in the local village of Tal Shamiram. George Orwell wrote in his preface to Animal Farm that “Unpopular ideas can be silenced, and inconvenient facts kept dark, without the need for any official ban…At any given moment there is an orthodoxy, a body of ideas which it is assumed that all right-thinking people will accept without question, anyone who challenges the prevailing orthodoxy finds himself silenced with surprising effectiveness.” This prevailing orthodoxy defines the ideology of the contemporary Left of today. Motivated by abstractions and a vision of a utopian future based upon that which has never existed but which they are convinced they can create, the...

In his weekly audience Wednesday, Pope Francis gave dating couples some radically countercultural advice, encouraging them to hold off on sex until they are properly married. While the Pope’s words merely reiterated traditional Christian teaching on sex, they clash with a reigning mentality that advocates any and all sexual activity, provided it is consensual.

A new document attests to the genocide that is being ignored by the world. Every year, more than 100,000 Christians are murdered just because of their faith. This means that 11 Christians are murdered every hour. The numbers are contained in a new document presented by John McAreavey, president of the Justice and Peace Commission of the Bishops of Dublin. A genocide of Christians is under way. In many Middle Eastern cities, from Aleppo to Mosul, the Islamists have dealt with each and every Christian by displacing, killing or forcibly converting them, and just like the Nazis painted the Star...

A United States Marine was convicted at a court-martial for refusing to remove a Bible verse on her computer – a verse of Scripture the military determined “could easily be seen as contrary to good order and discipline.” The plight of Lance Corporal Monifa Sterling seems unbelievable – a member of the Armed Forces criminally prosecuted for displaying a slightly altered passage of Scripture from the Old Testament: “No weapon formed against me shall prosper.” Sterling, who represented herself at trial, was convicted February 1, 2014 in a court-martial at Camp Lejune, North Carolina after she refused to obey orders...

I am new, however, have been monitering this site and others regarding WACO. None of the pressers, blogs, news sites that I have found discuss the status of the arrested MotorCyclists. Are they all still in WACO? Have they attorneys? Have family access to them? Who are the LE's interviewing them, etc. Is it the local LEs or BATFE, FBI, or another federal agency, including military.

It appears that Sauron is living in Toronto, where he eeks out a meager living as a jeweler. Making rings of power has always been his speciality, and imbuing them with subtle yet powerful evil is his passion. So when a lesbian couple entered his store and ordered custom wedding rings, they had no idea they were dealing with the Lord of Darkness. Nicole White and Pam Renouf liked dealing with Today’s Jewelers because the store custom-makes rings, CBC reported. "They were great to work with. They seemed to have no issues. They knew the two of us were a...
