Liz Cheney said in a statement Thursday. Li was among eight doctors who were reprimanded by the Chinese government for warning people against the threat of the coronavirus. China's Communist Party is intensifying covert influence operations in the United States that include funding Washington think tanks and coercing Chinese Americans, according to a congressional commission report. The U.S. secretly expelled two Chinese diplomats in September after entering a Virginia military base that houses the headquarters of SEAL Team 6, the New York Times reported Tuesday.
