The discovery of two batches of classified documents from Joe Biden’s time as vice president could bring renewed attention to an office the president shared with his scandal-plagued son Hunter and a Chinese energy conglomerate linked to Chinese military intelligence. Joe and Hunter Biden were "office mates" with executives from CEFC China Energy in 2017, according to emails from Hunter’s abandoned laptop. In an email to the general manager for the K Street office building, Hunter Biden said the office would be shared by his consulting firm Hudson West, CEFC China Energy, and the Biden Foundation, his family charity. "[P]lease...

Trees and wildflowers blossom during all four seasons in Kunming, which is known as The City of Eternal Spring because of its year-round mild temperatures. However, it is also home to something much less natural: a laboratory where scientists have been creating monkey embryos with a mutated gene so that, when born, they will age unusually fast. Such experiments are done to study human diseases such as autism, cancer, Alzheimer's and muscular dystrophy.

The commander of China’s armed forces in Hong Kong declared protests in the city “absolutely intolerable” on Wednesday, alleging the protesters are violent and vowing the military will “resolutely safeguard” China’s interests in the city. The remarks occurred at an event to commemorate the anniversary of the founding of the communist People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and mark the first time the most senior military officer in Hong Kong has remarked on the protests. Both members of the pro-democracy movement and the international community have expressed concerns that China may send the PLA into Hong Kong to silence and kill protesters...

BEIRUT/MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia bombed Syria for a third day on Friday, mainly hitting areas held by rival insurgent groups rather than the Islamic State fighters it said it was targeting and drawing an increasingly angry response from the West. The U.S.-led coalition that is waging its own air war against Islamic State called on the Russians to halt strikes on targets other than Islamic State. "We call on the Russian Federation to immediately cease its attacks on the Syrian opposition and civilians and to focus its efforts on fighting ISIL," said the coalition, which includes the United States, major...

LONDON: Russian President Vladimir Putin is reportedly sending 150,000 soldiers to Syria to wipe out the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS). According to The Daily Star, he is apparently mounting an enormous military mission to take control of the terror group's stronghold of Raqqa. Raqqa is the self-declared capital of ISIS which is patrolled by as many as 5,000 jihadi members. Putin is set to mobilise 150,000 reservists whom he conscripted into the military earlier this week.

The International Institute for Strategic Studies’ Military Balance 2010 report places China third in the number of artillery systems it fields, after Russia and North Korea. But China doubtless exceeds both in resource commitment and breadth of artillery investments. Credited with an estimated 17,700-plus towed, self-propelled and rocket systems, the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has at least 56 artillery systems in use, development or available for export. The U.S. Army and Marine Corps, by contrast, have 8,137-plus artillery pieces of roughly 10 types. China has had a mixed record of using artillery for military and political-military goals. Its successes, as...

Here is video from the Asian Federated Press which gives a rare look inside a Chinese Army Training Base. The People's Liberation Army (PLA) has been one of the most secretive in the world. But they now seem to be trying to launch a PR campaign to show their "openness." Allowing this report is one of their methods. The Chinese Army reportedly has 2.3 million members. In the report, a commander says the Chinese Army has only "defensive plans," and would never be used offensively. I'm sure China's neighbors will be relieved to know that! . . . . ....

After so many years of heated debates homosexuality is no longer considered a chronic mental disease in China. However, being a homosexual there is a serious violation of the law. So, sexual minorities in China are not conscripted into the army. The Chinese army with 2.5 million people under arms is the world’s most numerous. And none of the soldiers belongs to sexual minorities. To find out if conscripts are heterosexual or not all of them must undergo thorough medical examination. Doctors need to find out if a foreign object was ever placed into a conscript’s anus. Those suspected of...

This year's Pentagon report on China's military power is somewhat tougher than in previous years. Released Tuesday, the report concludes that China could threaten not just its smaller neighbors, like Taiwan, but in time "modern militaries operating in the region," which is Pentagon-speak for the United States. "The pace and scope of China's military are, already, such as to put regional military balances at risk," the Pentagon concludes. This report is a needed wake-up call following by a week the threat, since disavowed, by a ranking Chinese general that China would hit "hundreds" of U.S. cities with nuclear weapons if...

TROUBLE SPEAK Ward Churchill copied 'original' art piece Takes a swing at TV reporter who confronted him -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Posted: February 26, 2005 1:00 a.m. Eastern © 2005 WorldNetDaily.com Professor Ward Churchill Adding to a growing list of allegations, controversial University of Colorado professor Ward Churchill appears to have violated copyright law by claiming a reknowned artist's work as his own. Churchill, whose integrity has been challenged since news broke earlier last month of his paper blaming victims of 9-11 for the attacks, made an Indian-theme serigraph in 1981 called "Winter Attack" and printed 150 copies. But one of the buyers,...

Ward Hill as a member of the schismatic Boulder/Denver branch of AIM [American Indian Movement] as spent his whole life trashing the FBI and police. Here is what he said in his "Roosting Chickens" article. He is an anarchist who publishes his books through anarchist publishers. He wants to trash our law enforcement and intelligence organizations so that we will be destroyed. He doesn't want to make them better. He want the USA off the planet. He has often depicted the FBI and CIA as terrorist organizations.

There are times when Hillary Clinton must wish that her husband were dead. Don't get me wrong. I want Bill Clinton to live a long and scandal-filled life. I have no plans to hurl an ashtray at the former beach-boy president. In fact, I would take a bullet for Bill Clinton if only to protect my income as a reporter. However, if Hillary wants to win the White House, she could make it a cakewalk if Bill were pushing up daises. Imagine Hillary running for president if Bill were suddenly to die. The former first lady would be the object...
