HOUSTON – Deputies have arrested and charged a Spring couple accused of keeping a 5-year-old boy malnourished inside the stairway closet of their home. Investigators said the child was found in his diaper in the small closet by his 16-year -old brother at 9:30 p.m. Thursday. Then the teen confronted his father Bradley Bleimeyer. The teen and father got into a fist fight and officers were called to the house located in the 21500 block of Castlemont. By the time officers arrived, they said the victim’s stepmother Tammi Bleimeyer and biological father took off with the little boy.

The mother of a transgender child wants the Saskatchewan government to remove any record of a person's sex on birth certificates. Fran Forsberg has filed a complaint to Saskatchewan's Human Rights Commission on behalf of her six-year-old child, Renn, after the province's Vital Statistics Agency refused to change Renn's sex designation from "Male" to "Female" on the youngster's birth records. Deputies responding to a Salinas, Calif., home on March 14 to investigate child neglect allegations found three starved and abused children, one chained to the floor. During the investigation, deputies found very little food in the house, which they described as “cluttered and dirty.” The deputies found three children - an 8-year-old girl, a 5-year-old boy and a 3-year-old boy - who they said exhibited signs of physical and emotional abuse. The suspects, Eraca Dawn Craig, 31, and Christian Jessica Deanda, 44, were arrested for numerous child abuse-related cases.

A Montana couple has been charged after allegedly letting a 2-year-old boy smoke marijuana. Lucas Keith Wilson and Camilla Rose Samuels have been charged with felony and misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Wilson was brought to the Gallatin County Detention Center on Friday and is being held on a $50,000 bond, but Samuels is still at large.

Veteran gay rights advocate and former San Francisco Human Rights Commission staff member Larry Brinkin was sentenced to one year in county jail Wednesday for possessing child pornography. As part of a plea agreement, Brinkin, 67, will serve six months of his sentence in county jail and six months in home detention, the district attorney's office said. He will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

A women, her boyfriend and her mother have been arrested on abuse and rape charges after her 11-year-old daughter emailed a teacher asking for help. An infant is fighting for her life after being physically and sexually abused by her mother’s boyfriend, and police say the child had been referred to the Children Youth and Families Department by medical staff multiple times before the incident. Jessica McKinley, 26, has been charged with one felony count of criminal possession of dangerous drugs, and misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.
