A study of more than 200,000 people by researchers found at least a 17% reduction in dementia diagnoses in the six years after the new recombinant shingles vaccination, equating to 164 or more additional days lived without dementia. The benefit was seen in both sexes but was greater in women, and the findings suggest that the recombinant shingles vaccine may have additional value in terms of protection against dementia. Shingles is a painful and serious condition afflicting many elderly people. It is caused by the Herpes zoster virus that can flare up in people who previously had chicken pox. After...

DEAR DR. ROACH: I am 70. I got my shingles vaccination in 2018. I took two doses of the Shingrix vaccine. I was invited to dinner at someone’s house where someone just got shingles. Am I still protected? -- S.C. ANSWER: About 99% of North Americans are immune to the varicella-zoster virus that causes chicken pox and shingles, either because they had it as a child or because they got the vaccine. Exposure to the virus, whether it was due to chicken pox or shingles, can cause chicken pox in a person who does not have immunity.

MANY LINKS A key point I have tried to lay out here was that these strategies were known to be nonsensical from the start (they were designed to create compliance not to prevent deaths) and many approaches that would have been highly effective to save lives or prevent the economic devastation of COVID-19 were deliberately not implemented. Note: Many broad claims are made here. Throughout this article, sources are provided for articles that provide the evidence to substantiate these claims. The most plausible explanation for this inexcusable behavior was that oligarchs like Bill Gates chose to copy the playbook Fauci...

News AnalysisDoctors and scientists are seeing an increase in the reactivation of the chickenpox virus, known as varicella-zoster virus (VZV), following the COVID-19 injections. The chickenpox virus is one of the eight herpes viruses known to infect humans. After a person contracts and recovers from chickenpox, the virus never leaves the body but lies dormant in the nervous system for life. The chickenpox virus will show up as shingles, or herpes zoster (HZ) when it gets reactivated.Federal health authorities claim that there’s no correlation between COVID-19 injections and shingles, but studies show that there is a higher incidence of shingles in people...

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear (D) on Thursday defended his statewide school mask mandate amid surges of COVID-19 cases caused by the highly contagious delta variant, saying that sending unmasked children too young to be vaccinated into a classroom is like “holding the world's largest chickenpox party.” Beshear, who has previously made the chickenpox comparison in advocating for mask requirements, told CNN's Kate Bolduan that he believes he did the “right” thing by signing the executive order last week. "Sending unmasked, unvaccinated kids into a poorly ventilated classroom is like holding the world's largest chickenpox party, except instead of chickenpox it...

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention altered its mask guidance after a study found the Delta COVID-19 variant appeared to spread as easily as chickenpox, possibly even among the vaccinated, according to internal federal documents — but critics have argued that the data is weak and not peer-reviewed. An internal CDC presentation, largely based on unpublished research, suggests that the latest strain is almost a completely different virus from the initial outbreak, according to the Washington Post, which first obtained the slides. SNIP The report appears to run counter to the CDC’s own data, which shows there’s only a...

As states battle a surge of the COVID-19 delta variant, an internal document from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has been leaked that shows that the variant spreads from fully vaccinated people at the same rate as unvaccinated people. CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky confirmed the authenticity of the document, which is a slide presentation, CNN and The Washington Post reported. The document states that officials must “acknowledge the war has changed,” the Post reported. “I think people need to understand that we’re not crying wolf here. This is serious,” Walensky told CNN. “It’s one of the most...

Anyone remember these? They've been off market for years. My Mom cured everything from a cold to chicken pox with this stuff. We all took it. It is QUININE.. similar to the malaria drug they are testing for the Pelosi (China) Virus. Quinine is the generic form of the brand-name drug qualaquin, a medication used to treat uncomplicated P. falciparum malaria, a specific type of malaria. As the lockdown continues across the world, pharmaceutical companies are accelerating their efforts to provide a vaccine to prevent the spread of the virus. Unfortunately, Moderna, the company which has gained prominence in news headlines for developing Mrna-1273 vaccine to fight the disease, uses cells of aborted babies. Although alternatives exist which could be considered morally acceptable, they are not getting as much coverage as Moderna’s vaccine work. Suspicions about the vaccine were raised after checking Moderna’s patents and in particular, the use of the Spike (S) protein. The idea behind using this Spike protein in a vaccine with messenger...

By now, we all know AmericaÂ’s immediate COVID-19 action plan is to avoid rapid spread of the virus through good hygiene and isolation. The logic of this mitigation strategy is quite sound. As Dr. Anthony Fauci, head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has repeatedly explained, this approach will buy us time and flatten the curve of the national infection rate. Both of these steps are needed because intensive care unit (ICU) resources are essential to managing the disease in older and sicker patients, but are inherently expensive and finite. We cannot afford to overwhelm them. The problem...

A woman from Northumberland, England, says she's thankful to be cancer-free after her face was "forever changed" by a chickenpox scar. Louise Thorell, now 32, said she came down with the chickenpox at age 5, but it wasn’t until decades later, in 2018, that a facial scar left behind from the illness took on a “waxier,” tougher texture, Media Drum World reported. Thorell, who has a family history of skin cancer, was referred to a specialist who diagnosed her with basal cell carcinoma, the most common form of skin cancer, typically caused by exposure to ultraviolet radiation from the sun...

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed 5,200 adult immigrants in quarantine after being exposed to mumps or chicken pox, a dramatic jump from just a few months ago, the agency says. ICE has recorded cases of either mumps or chicken pox in 39 immigrant detention centers nationwide, an ICE official tells CNN. Of the 5,200 detainees in quarantine across those centers, around 4,200 are for exposure to mumps. Around 800 were exposed to chicken pox and 100 have been exposed to both.

A northern Kentucky teenager banned from school for refusing the chickenpox vaccination due to his religious beliefs has come down with the childhood malady, his attorney said Wednesday. Jerome Kunkel, a student at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Assumption Academy, first started showing chickenpox symptoms last week and hopes to have recovered by next week, a lawyer for the 18-year-old told NBC News. Kunkel and his family have no regrets about their decision to not be vaccinated. "These are deeply held religious beliefs, they're sincerely held beliefs," family attorney Christopher Wiest said. "From their perspective, they always recognized they...

Chickenpox has taken hold of a school in North Carolina where many families claim religious exemption from vaccines. Cases of chickenpox have been multiplying at the Asheville Waldorf School, which serves children from nursery school to sixth grade in Asheville, N.C. About a dozen infections grew to 28 at the beginning of the month. By Friday, there were 36, the Asheville Citizen-Times reported. The outbreak ranks as the state’s worst since the chickenpox vaccine became available more than 20 years ago. Since then, the two-dose course has succeeded in limiting the highly contagious disease that once affected 90 percent of...
