Multiple Central Florida men have pleaded guilty to being involved in a drug trafficking operation, “Titan Fall,” the U.S. Department of Justice said. A total of 13 men were charged in August with two indictments for being involved in the operation. Members Carlos Alberto Roman, 56; Kenneth Angel Vera, 31; and James Richards Howell, 37, have all pleaded guilty, according to the DOJ. The DOJ said that Roman supplied fentanyl and cocaine to Howell and Vera for resale, and regularly communicated with them. Roman was arrested at his home with 19 firearms, six silencers, three flash-bang grenades, and thousands of...

The “Knights for Socialism” group at the University of Central Florida (UCF) held a workshop Sunday to teach left-wing students how to “BASH THE FASH” with a “Leftist Fight Club” open to everyone but Republicans.

"Knights for Socialism has decided to host a series of self-defense clinics for anyone that wants to learn how to BASH THE FASH." Something called the Knights for Socialism has sprung up at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. The stated purpose of this group is to teach students “how to BASH THE FASH,” that is, how to physically attack those the leftist mob defines as fascists.

Central Florida scores the most points at Beaver Stadium by a non-conference foe since Penn State joined Big Ten. STATE COLLEGE — The defense tried everything: man coverage, zone converge, half-man, half-zone, blitzes, zone-blitzes, personnel changes and much guttural screaming. Wasn't enough. "That's one thing I know I can say," Penn State defensive coordinator John Butler said. "We emptied the game plan."

Police at the University of Central Florida are looking into claims that members of a fraternity bragged about a game involving drugging random women at a fraternity function in February. University spokesman Chad Binette said Friday that UCF's Office of Student Conduct and the UCF Police Department "will be conducting reviews of the incident." "Our No. 1 priority is to provide a safe environment for the entire university community," including our Greek organizations," Binette said. The fraternity denied the allegations and said it welcomes the reviews. The controversy stems from a Feb. 10 event, in which documents released by UCF...

The Big East's football expansion plans leave the conference with 17 universities, including non-Football members. That's a terrible number for scheduling; the only way the basketball teams can schedule an even number of games is if they play every other team only once. 18 teams would allow three divisions of six teams each. Any team would play the other five teams in its division twice, and one half of the twelve other teams in the conference. 18 sounds like worsening the problem of too many teams, but having three divisions could actually restore some rivalries, and return the conference to...

I haven't posted in a very long time and I hope the pictures post correctly. The Convention was held in Orlando at the Gaylord Palms. It was a fun, informative event and nice to put a face to all the Freepers. Our thanks go out to ROOS_Girl, MinuteGal, and seekthetruth for organizing the event. Thanks to Surfer for moderating...what a great job he did. Special thanks to all the speakers who shared their knowledge with all of us. Please share your comments about the event.

The political scandal that has engulfed Central Florida's toll-road agency, most powerful attorneys, biggest developers, best-known political activist, the Orlando Magic and a host of others started in an unlikely way: with a trespassing dog. When David Strong of Winter Park discovered that a neighbor's dog had done his business on Strong's lawn one too many times, he scooped up the evidence and, in a fit of anger, smeared it on the dog-owner's shirt and neck. Strong was charged with misdemeanor battery, took an anger-management class and performed community service, then forgot all about it. At least until he entered...

March 15, 2007 To the Bishops of the Episcopal Church Grace and Peace in our Lord Jesus Christ. Be encouraged in the faith that has once been handed down to us by the apostles. The matters before your House in its meetings leading up to the September 30th deadline have risen to a critical level for our common life. For this reason we feel compelled to share our deepest convictions regarding these matters as the Diocesan Board and Standing Committee of the Diocese of Central Florida. With the Primates’ Communiqué from Dar es Salaam the issues of permitting same-sex unions...

An airline employee at Orlando International Airport used his security privileges Monday to sneak a duffel bag containing 13 handguns, an assault rifle and 8 pounds of marijuana aboard a Delta flight to San Juan. Puerto Rico police arrested Thomas Anthony Munoz, 22, of Kissimmee and confiscated the weapons after he walked off Delta Air Lines Flight 933 on Monday afternoon, carrying a bagful of weapons. It was unclear Tuesday night precisely who notified Puerto Rico authorities at Luis Munoz Marin International Airport near the capital of San Juan, but it's possible that Munoz's arrest was part of a larger...

The tenth anniversary of Free Republic is coming up (this November!) As a result, I would like to see some sort of a get-together take place, in either San Diego, Arizona, Texas or Florida (or some other venue in a Freeper-friendly part of the country). What I would really like to see is someone, perhaps a well-known or wealthy lurker, help organize a Freeper Convention that would include banners, flags, Freeper stuff for sale at booths, a Freeper "museum" with displays centering on famous Freeper moments (threads, Freeper Actions, well-known and infamous Freepers, and Freeper lore, etc). Also, I'd like...

The Fox affiliate in the Orlando area is going to do a hatchet job on general aviation airfields tonight. Their breathless, stupid lead in (done appropriately by the typical bubble-headed blonde) goes something like this: "They provide easy access for the rich and their airplanes but are Florida's small airfields attracting terrorists to launch small airplanes against commercial airlines!!!!"Calling Phil Boyer.

Michael Moore visited Orlando today, he came to the University of Central Florida(UCF) to try and spread his lies and propaganda to college students. It was outside, on a huge green lawn. The heat was unbearable, it should not be this hot in Florida in October! I went, I didn't see any other FReepers, but was in good company with many other protestors from UCF, ROCK (which I learned stands for Rebuilding on a Conservative Kornerstone), and a couple of others from the area. Being Michael Moore, and the fact the event was held on a liberal campus, we were...

Need help to freep a poll by voting "NO". Dyer in a Clinton-esque mayor...wherever you can find a camera he's there. Laid off employees to "save money", weeks later gives millions of dollars in tax money to his buddies. Recently had the city council sign a "secret agreement" and rushed debate (one meeting to the city council in I believe in an HOUR's time) on a project that involved millions of dollars in tax breaks and money on a historic building site. He took over when he one a smear campeign against Pete Barr; taking over the job vacated by...
