I haven't posted in a very long time and I hope the pictures post correctly. The Convention was held in Orlando at the Gaylord Palms. It was a fun, informative event and nice to put a face to all the Freepers. Our thanks go out to ROOS_Girl, MinuteGal, and seekthetruth for organizing the event. Thanks to Surfer for moderating...what a great job he did. Special thanks to all the speakers who shared their knowledge with all of us. Please share your comments about the event.
We had a great time and met wonderful people. I thank my wife, TLRobinson, for the pictures, we have more pictures if anyone wants them let me know. Thanks again to those that organized the event and contributed to a great convention
Good for you all! What was on your agenda?
Wow! You guys really went for the fancy digs!
Many unfamiliar faces in the crowd, but the FR Florida Chapter is just like I remember it - ACTIVE ACTIVE ACTIVE!!!
Gonzo, MinuteGal, MatchettPI...
Gosh, I miss you guys.
Freeper Rockingham spoke about opposition research and handed out a nice written doccument on the subject. Kristinn and Andrea King talked about engaging the media. Discussions were insightful and stayed on topic. We also recieved a call from Jim Rob himself thanks to Kristinn.
Great pics - now I have some idea of what I missed! :-( My early Saturday meeting schedule ran way over, so by the time I got to the hotel it was a little after 6, and all had departed the meeting room. Sorry I missed everything. Well, I did manage to snag some nifty blank FR adhesive name tags...so I’m ready for the next one!!
That’s great. Sounds like the beginning of a new, annual event!
Hi Pete, we MISS YOU! It was awesome and lots of fun as FReeper events usually are. Great pics and great to meet you all.
Lots of great plans were hatched. Surfer, Roos Girl, Minute Gal and everyone else did an excellent job.
Everything- photos, freepers, location & information- was just great. We are so glad we could make it.
Not to mention the hard work of seek the truth!

It looks like you all had a great time.
Agreed ... it was well organized, a tremendous venue, great company and a good time all around. We wouldn’t have missed it for anything.
We were talking about you being there yesterday while we were filling our faces after the boy’s recital. Sure would have liked to go to that ourselves!
“Good for you all! What was on your agenda?”
Thanks! Here it is:

Great job, Florida!! Nice talkin to y’all!! Great photos!!
Thank you for the pics. It was a great event, and I much enjoyed meeting fellow Freepers.
Nice picture. Looks like you are in good company and visa versa.
[Mr] T
Glad to see you made it down there to the meeting. Don’t give away all the D.C. Chapter secrets even if they torture you by putting June bugs on you or ice cubes down you pants.
[Mr] T
Thanks!
I saw a guy with the glasses on when I was at the front desk, he was with a younger guy

What a great meeting we had! There was so much good information that we all learned and we have picked up a lot of new “tasks” to do here in Florida.
Thanks for everyone attending and thanks to our speakers who ALL did a fantastic job and as always we learn about the capabilities we have right within our group.
Now we need to continue the momentum, organize all of these talents and keep working to make a difference for our country.
JimRob called in during the meeting and it was really wonderful for everyone to hear JimRob talk to all of us.
Thanks also to committee member Bob Ireland who did loads of the visual arts and informative comments on the convention thread. Also to The Right Stuff who pitched in when and where needed and who had another job which was quite delightful, LOL, manning the refreshment center in the meeting room!

too late!!!
GO Florida Freepers!
Wish I could have been there.......I miss ya’ll
Picture 18 is guest speaker Rockingham, giving his presentation on Opposition Research. What a wealth of information we have within the Florida chapter!
LOL! Thanks for the AM smile.
We have got to keep the momentum going. Like Kristinn said, we as a group should have been organizing the tea parties. We all love a good FReep. Whether saving an election, impeaching a president, or firing a lamestream media anchor, all of it affects the body politic.
A great time was had by all. The speakers were informative, humorous and just plain down to earth. I have one confession to make, and that is I visited the buffet three time. It was so good.
Oh, and gonzo was caught sleeping in that pick. Can't take him anywhere.

“GO Florida Freepers!
Wish I could have been there.......I miss yall”
We wish you could have been here too! I hope to meet you some day! Guess when I joined FR you were already out west so I was allowed to keep my screen name. It was after I joined that I heard about you being a Florida Freeper and also found out we also share first names! :)

“I saw a guy with the glasses on when I was at the front desk, he was with a younger guy”
Yes, the gentleman witht he glasses is Rockingham who gave us a lot of great information. Perhaps he was with Surfer when you saw him at the front desk.
I was sorry to hear that you and TrueKnightGalahad were unable to find us following the meeting. We left messages at the front desk to aid Freepers in finding us and sorry to hear you two did not receive the information. We will do better next time to make sure that does not happen! Jean
Thanks so much, TheRightStuff! I hope to see EVERY Florida Freeper signed on to our FreeRepublic State Forum within FR. My goal to to make sure that happens so we can be effective in getting information out to every Freeper in Florida concerning local and state issues. We need to share information within our state in order to be effective in upcoming elections. :)
From time to time I will be sending information out to all the Florida Freepers on my list through Freepmail. Please let me know if you wish to be removed from my list through Freepmail.
The information I provided to everyone who attended the Convention will be going out soon to all Florida Freepers on my list through Freepmail. :) Jean from St.Pete
Gonzo was just resting his eyes! Hubby & I along with others know, as he was sure not sleepy at 1:30AM! We know one thing for sure....next time Gonzo and BushBacker will bring their guitars! We Freepers know how to sing too!!:)
I almost thot I was also there... but you know how it is when you get older... Howdy!
Thank you for sharing the photos, since I wasn’t able to attend. :)
I had a smoke and chat with Gonzo. I would’ve been out there with him, but I too, had to go back to the room and nap!

Bookmark this page so you can read the cogent comments and see the handsome and gorgeous freepers at work and at play.
Conventioneers, please post some of your pics. Please vet them first in a considerate way so that no one is embarassed seeing themselves with their eyes crossed or with their finger in their, umm.....ear, if you get my drift.
Leni/MinuteGal
My about page is updated with our expenditures/donations and I’ve contacted JimRob about the best way to make the donation in the 3 Florida chapters’ names.
I'm tired of California and Texas always out-donating us, LOL.
Well, we have more conventions than they, heheh.
Leni
Any chance that Rockingham might share his hand out with the Georgia FReepers? We're busy on that subject right now... ;)

till the next time then
Done and done.
“We had a great time and met wonderful people. I thank my wife, TLRobinson, for the pictures, we have more pictures if anyone wants them let me know. Thanks again to those that organized the event and contributed to a great convention.”
It was great to meet you and your wife! Thanks so much for posting all the pictures! The more the better! If you have some more you want to post I am sure we all will enjoy seeing them! Thanks again! I have to learn how to operate a camera well before I can learn how to post pictures! :)

In the sixth photo down, MinuteGal presents "The Duke" with his winner's prize of a GI Joe Bear who sings "God Bless the USA".
In #7, Bushbacker waves his Booby Prize......a genuine and legal one-dollar bill with the face of another conservative Duke, John Wayne, portrayed in the center of the bill. Bless his memory.
#8 shows 3D-Joy holding the GI Joe Bear and a sign worth a million words.
Hey, guys and dolls, if you see your face above, let the folks know....don't be shy. You are all LEADERS as evinced by your attendence at this convention.
(.....and our faces all get caught by the camera in the worst possible way, so never mind that, sigh)
