The CBS News boss who signed off on the controversial ouster of Catherine Herridge — a respected Washington correspondent who has been embroiled in a high-profile First Amendment case — is nevertheless being honored with a free speech award next month. CBS News president Ingrid Ciprian-Matthews was selected by Radio Television Digital News Association to be among 13 honorees at the 33rd annual First Amendment Awards at The Watergate Hotel in Washington DC on March 9. The irony was not lost ... “The RTDNA must be tone deaf to give Ingrid Ciprian-Matthews and CBS News an award for the First...

SAG-AFTRA, the CBS workers' union, called the seizure of her notes 'completely inappropriate' and 'very unusual'. ... CBS News has returned the notes it seized from a high-profile reporter the network fired for 'investigating Hunter Biden.' Catherine Herridge, a veteran reporter covering national security and intelligence, was among the hundreds of CBS employees who were laid off by parent company Paramount last week. Herridge covered investigations into the Biden family, and the network seized her personal notes after her...

Below is my column in The Hill on the trouble brewing at CBS over the seizure of the files of acclaimed investigative reporter Catherine Herridge. The column broke the story on the uproar over not just her being laid off but her being locked out from her files. I am now hearing from CBS sources that the network is moving toward a resolution to turn over the files after the outcry. However, the concerns over Herridge’s firing and the network’s handling of her confidential notes continues to draw fire from journalists and commentators. The union issued a statement (below) after...

As we reported, Catherine Herridge was fired from CBS during a bloodbath of them cutting hundreds of employees. Her firing got the most attention because of her excellence in reporting and the suggestion that it was more than just a layoff when it came to her being let go, just after she'd been reporting on the Hur Report. That suspicion grew louder when it was learned that CBS had also seized Herridge's files, computers, and records, which included her "privileged sources." According to George Washington law professor Jonathan Turley: "The timing of Herridge’s termination immediately raised suspicions in Washington. She...

Shrugging off higher interest rates, America's consumers spent enough to help drive the economy to a brisk 5.2% annual pace from July through September...The government had previously estimated that the economy grew at a 4.9% annual rate last quarter...the unemployment rate has come in below 4% for 21 straight months, the longest such streak since the 1960s..."We continue to forecast ongoing expansion in economic activity, but the pace should slow quite significantly in Q4..."

After being told the economy is great (given the Biden admin's begging companies to lower prices, it isn't), this refreshingly honest bit of reporting from CBS News throws a wrench into the gaslighting the administration's been doing: Americans need an extra $11,400 today just to afford the basics. https://t.co/t79U2FLqFv — CBS News (@CBSNews) November 29, 2023 An extra $11,000 dollars. Insane. CBS writes: The typical American household must spend an additional $11,434 annually just to maintain the same standard of living they enjoyed in January of 2021, right before inflation soared to 40-year highs, according to a recent analysis of...

@60Minutes 60 Minutes discovered the U.S. is financing more than weapons in Ukraine. The government is buying seeds/fertilizer for farmers, paying the salaries of 57,000 first responders and subsidizing small businesses.

Repeatedly trying to slap lipstick on President Joe Biden’s ramshackled economy just got a lot harder for the presstitutes. Americans aren’t buying it. A new CBS News/YouGov poll found that a majority 65 percent of Americans view the economy as “bad.” Specifically, the survey of 2,181 U.S. adult residents revealed that 61 percent described the economy as “struggling;” 56 percent said “uncertain;” 36 percent said “unfair;” and 27 percent said “punishing.” What’s even more damning is that a majority of the respondents placed either “a great deal” (44 percent) or some (36 percent) of the blame on Biden’s disastrous economic...

VIDEOSteve Bannon has often said that "There are NO conspiracies, but there are NO coincidences." So is it really a "coincidence" that on the same day that it was widely reported that Joe Biden would be officially announcing his 2024 campaign next week that a damning report was released by the Deep State via one its outlets known as CBS News?

A77-year-old woman was bitten by an alligator near a pond in a gated community in Florida. The 7-foot, 10-inch alligator responsible for the attack has been captured, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) said in a statement to CBS News. FWC received a report at about 6 p.m. on Saturday that a woman had been bitten by an alligator in Bradenton, Florida. An FWC nuisance alligator trapper was dispatched, and the Manatee County Sheriff's Office and Manatee County EMS also responded to the scene. After the woman was bitten, a witness kept an eye on the alligator until...

The media’s deluge of lies about the Rittenhouse case is a disturbing reminder that the corporate press lies about everything all the time.As far as corporate media are concerned, the massacre in Waukesha, Wis., on Sunday was a “Christmas parade crash.” That’s how the attack that killed six people and injured more than 60 others is being described by ABC News, CBS News, CNN, Newsweek and others. Not an intentional attack, not a massacre allegedly committed by a violent career criminal already facing multiple felony charges, but merely a crash. The New York Times is calling it a “tragedy.” ***...

CBS News just proved how far down the whirlpool of nonsense it’s willing to go. The outlet actually blamed climate change for Afghanistan’s terrorism outbreak following President Joe Biden’s massive foreign policy failure. CBS News climate and energy reporter Cara Korte wrote an absurd story headlined: “How climate change helped strengthen the Taliban.” She decried that “Rural Afghanistan has been rocked by climate change,” before making the wild connection that “the Taliban — likely without knowing climate change was the cause — has taken advantage of that pain.” But CBS News was singing a different tune 6 years ago when...

As the latest flare-up between the Israelis and Palestinians dragged on, CBS Evening News seemingly wouldn’t be happy until the Jewish State of Israel was pushed into the sea. Tuesday’s edition of their Hamas-friendly coverage featured foreign correspondent Holly Williams scoffing at how two Israeli soldiers were shot by terrorists as Palestinians took part in their “day of rage” in the West Bank. And, of course, she spewed the Hamas propaganda that was fed to her. As she was transitioning to the segment, anchor Norah O’Donnell suggested it was Israel’s duty to de-escalate the situation despite Hamas deliberately targeting Israeli...

VIDEOCBS News and many other news outlets have a sleazy way of keeping you from finding out what is REALLY happening at the Maricopa County Ballot audit in Arizona. Their technique is to focus in on ultraviolet and bamboo and Q-Anon while conveniently avoiding the many shocking revelations that the auditors have already discovered. A REAL news report at the end of this video will update you on what the pathetic mainstream media is frightened to report.

CBS News senior White House and political correspondent Ed O’Keefe swooned how more than 100 of “the nation’s top corporate leaders met virtually on Saturday to discuss ways for companies” to fight “restrictive” voting laws across the country. The “corporate leaders” involved included the CEO of the parent company that oversees O’Keefe’s own news organization. What’s interesting is that some of the CEOs in the meeting reportedly tuned in from the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia. The state had recently passed legislation protecting voter integrity. Liberal attendees included notorious LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, Walmart CEO Doug McMillon, former Fox...

As with the pushing of anti-Bush forgeries, CBS News continues to push partisan propaganda at the expense of the truth.Rather than cover actual scandals involving Democrat governors and their botched responses to COVID, CBS’ “60 Minutes” tried to invent a scandal involving Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ distribution of vaccines. To push the false narrative and protect its favored governors, “60 Minutes” refused to interview people who disputed its false narrative, selectively edited video to hide facts, and omitted data that debunked its thesis and accurately describe Florida’s success. It’s not that “60 Minutes” couldn’t have reported on real scandals involving...
