Lutefisk! I can’t wait for the movie—”The Codfather.”

Your remarks about Lutefisk being Swedish have angered the Norwegian Maffia. MAybe you should send your wife out to start the Volvo over the next two weeks.

The Swedish Rotted Fish Treat is Surstremming. Compared to Surstremming, Lutefisk is a chocolate eclair or maybe cannoli? "Drop the Surstremming. Take the Lutefisk."

Say fellows, I have a really nutty idea.

Why doesn't George Bush encourage incentives for oil companies to build more refining capacity? I voted for a genuine Texas Awlbidnessman, complete with cowboy boots, with just such a hope in mind.

I don't want to be rude,
But there sure is plenty of crude
the Whole Awl Bidness be out of kilter
Just because the big boys play too rough
won't filter enough of that stuff
    To keep the price low;
    the economy on the go
Gettin' more combustion out of domestic production.

    Mormons are Christians

    Mormons are OK.

But they are not Christians in that they do not hold the belief that Christ is God. Unless I misinterpret what I have been told, they share a belief with the Muslims that Christ is a great and worthy prophet, but not God. They also do not hold that Christ's sacrifice is valid for other worlds or planets (yet to be discovered, but according to Mormons, definitely out there.)

These beliefs are very complicated and not open for general debate among non-Mormons, not to mention most Mormons. Theologically, Mornmonism is very much a closed shop. None of this has anything to do with Mitt running for President. Should he be selected as the Republican candidate I will vote for him, and work to encourage others to do so.

........why this woman was employed by the FBI......

Besides the diversity thing, it's the Arabic-speaking thing. As long as you do not actually shoot or blow up the interviewer, you're in. The FBI, while man for man is nowhere remotely near as dumb as BATF people, it still isn't as collectively smart as the CIA, or the NSA, or ONI, or USAI.

Whenever you get all dewy-eyed about the FBI in Peace and War, just remember the Walker Spy Case. It took Walker's wife 5 years and about 20 tries to turn him and the rest of her family in. And it wasn't as if she didn't actually go in their offices and tell FBI Agents, "My husband is a Soviet Agent."

She reported to the Boston and Hyannis offices, where we now know the agents were just too busy helping Whitey Bulger's Irish Mob bump off the Italian Mob, so Whitey could take over.

Walker passed ALL of our communications codes from the Navy (which handled all commo in and out of VN) to the Soviets, who immediately passed them to the North VietNamese (in case you were wondering how the NVA always seemed to know where we were going next and what we were going to do ... usually before we did).

Why do folks conflate Romania with the ethnic minority gypsies?

It is because, you politically incorrect dolt, that we sensitive modern types are not allowed to use the word "Gypsy," to describe the chicken-stealing, pocket-picking, violin-playing, drive-way sealing, fortune-telling rascals and their light-fingered offspring.

These colorful and quaint ladies and gentlemen are now known collectively as the "Rom." From like, you know, old Romany. In the 30's, they were issued special Gypsy (sorry, "Rom") "Nansen" Passports by the old League of Nations. Most of them hung out in Yugoslavia and Romania, but over the past several decades have been wandering around causing trouble everywhere, but especially in Italy, where they have made a walk in the woods a rather iffy proposition. One of their many scams is taking over abandoned mountain villages.

The former Yugoslavs tried to domesticate the Gypsies a bit, After all, compared to the Albanians (who loathe Gypsies, sorry, "ROM") they are not all THAT bad, but it didn't work out. Supposedly, they originated in India, but Gypsies are at their best in Transylvanian werewolf movies starring Maria Ouspenskaya and Lon Chaney, Jr.

But anyway, you can see why pubic scrool people could confuse the Rom and Romania. Hell, it probably confuses Romanians. Trust me, there goes the neighborhood when Gypsies show up, no matter where you are.

JF'nK was in Vietnam. He was in action, if not exactly combat. That simple set of facts alone would have stood him in good stead with the majority of Americans. He was there. However, while he was there he lied, connived, and cheated his way around the system.

I believe he would like us to focus on what he did while in VietNam, no matter how sleazy and dishonest it was, precisely because it is murky, and now very hard to document, especially with him hiding the documents. Our stress should be on what he did afterwards, which is what he would really like to hide.

Also, the question of his discharge, which would settle this once and for all, is never going to be answered. The question for us is, "Can we get him out of the race for the Senate in 08, or failing that, beat him in a fair fight at the polls?"

Well, JFK is facing some quasi-serious opposition in his Senatorial Race in 2008, so I reckon we'll just have to live through this whole "Swift-Boat" nonsense all over again. JF'nK wrote himself up, so he has to stick with it.

Unlike the original JFK who had the good sense to realize that his heroics were also more or less a Hollywood PR Man's fantasy, bought and paid for by dear old dad, JF'nK, being poor at the time, did his military fiction without too much professional help.

Apparently, in the faux-hero racket, you get what you pay for. Besides Dad paying for the best story tellers around, the original JFK had a sense of humor about the whole thing, which JF'nK definitely does not!

As in a dice game, I hope, 'cause that's eggzackly the way I'm bettin' this one. It is a dream ticket. Why even thinking of a vote against this dynamic duo would make any Democrat, including a hillesbo feminazi, feel like a scientifically insensitive racist!

....if you believe that the communists “won” simply because of Joe McCarthy........I hope I am reading into your last reply incorrectly.............

Cynical old bâtard that I am, I DO believe in many important ways, the commies won. Of course, I do not mean to imply that it was all Joe McCarthy's fault. I meant to say that Joe got used, got duped.

In fact, instead of saying "Joe," I should have said "we," because I was right in there with him, and would be again.

Let me be clear, when I say the commies "won," I mean to say that in the area of what is transmitted down in our culture to the newer generations, the commies and their children seem to have the last word ... even with my children. A galling set of circumstances.

This RAND study isn’t telling any of us who are diesel-heads anything we didn’t already know. It is just putting a “PhD” after the names of guys who have quantified what was already common sense.

The Euros are already driving around behind nifty small high-output diesels for years, and the Japs have them too. Where o where is the American Diesel plug-in hybrid that could push up fleet averages by 15-20 mpg? To keep the Ozone-holes happy, you could run it on biodiesel, or Mcdonald's left-over frying oil!

Instead, we are forced to listen to people like Al Gore and other greens who don't know a piston from a pissoir.

If he runs he sure can’t expect to beat Hillary Clinton in the race for the Democratic nomination

One of the reasons I became a freeper is that I read on this site that the Democrat ticket for 2008 is going to be Gore/Obama. I believe it.

Call it a mystic vision, but I think Gore's liable to come in late and pick up the marbles. Mrs. Bill Clinton is not unbeatable.

There is no memory of the bitter divide this brought to the country. Today, the sons and daughters of the communists of the 40's sit atop the power structure in government, media, education, and the MSM. They are poised to hand over what have become their hereditary fiefdoms to the next generation.

I rest my case. (The commie bâtards won. By now, Joe McC must be doing atleast 750 RPM in his grave.)
