Now my high school Latin teacher WAS drafted in 1937 by the NY Football Giants. Leo Paquin was one of Fordham’s Seven Blocks of Granite and spent his adult career, save four years in the USN, teaching Latin and English and coaching football at Xavier HS in Manhattan.

And the guys looking for easy sex follow. Just like it was 55 years ago when Doris Peets tried to get me to join SDS at Fordham. Didn’t go for it, though she was good looking and intelligent. One difference from today, most of the SDS folks were dedicated but quite comfortable having a beer with you at The Web and talking everything from politics to Bill Langheld’s jump shot. Heck the ROTC Pershing Rifles had a yearly touch football game with the SDS. Today’s kids are just ignorant.
Carson is an exemplary figure in both professional and private life, but a 79 year old candidate is not helped by a 73 year old veep. We’re starting to look like the USSR before Gorby or like Maoist China.

So India needs migrants. Wow does Biden have any idea about India’s size and population? Over one billion people in an area 1/3 that of the U.S. Yeah I’m sure they’d volunteer to take in a million Venezuelans.
Gotta say it, Kudos to Eric Adams. Not only did he send the NYPD in, but they went in a manner that expelled the protestors, fid it with minimal violence, and more importantly exposed the fact that these actions are organized and controlled by a network of professional agitator. His cops quickly eyeballs the provacateurs and separated them from the rest. It seems Adams and his cops were the only ones to ask why the protestor tents all looked the same whether at Columbia or UCLA. Or how thousand of Hamas flags suddenly appeared all over the country. Maybe others will start seeking and finding answers but Kudos to Adams and the NYPD.
These idiots should have felt what those SDSers felt when they occupied Hamilton in ‘68. The NYPD sent in the TPF, Tactical Patrol Force. The roughest band of cops in the Dept. Age limited to ,IIRC, 33 and height limited to no shorter than 5-11, they were the specialist who were sent to clean the toughest neighborhoods. When they stormed Hamilton that night they broke heads.
NYPD Intel, which is very very good, has reports that not only were there many agents provocateurs but that they are linked to many others ar different schools across the nation. This series of events is either a planned insurrection of a deliberate foreign attack or maybe both.
Back in ‘68 the NYPD’s Tactical Patrol Force or TPF went in with bats and hats and saps. They beat the SDS guys unconscious and slapped them around after they were cuffed. Lindsay and his PC Leary were horrified and soon disbanded the TPF, but Mark Rudd and his band had a very unpleasant end to their protest. I should say his band because Rudd was nowhere to be found that evening. Oh the idiot demonstrates thought they had barricaded the huge oak doors. They didn’t factor that the doors opened out, not in. I was over there a couple of times with tape recorder and NYPD Press pass from Fordham’s WFUV FM. Never got on campus and the demonstration interviews from those outside on B’Way were not worth air time.
