I stopped at the Medina County Board of Elections yesterday on my way home from work and received printed copies of the totals for 2008 absentee ballots requested and cast as well as the 2012 numbers as of 10/29/12 at 3:45 pm est. What I found out mirrors the data being worked by Perdogg, Ravi, and LS. In 2008 the Democrats pulled 10,089 ballots out of 27,167 total for 37.1% and returned 9,933 out of 26,351 total for 37.7%. On Thursday, a friend and I made the trip to downtown Cleveland to check out the #OccupyCleveland protest. The Facebook page predicted there would be 800-ish people attending, but the actual number on opening day was closer to 200. We dressed to blend in with the crowd so we could fully embrace the experience, spending the better part of the day with the protesters. The first thing we noticed was that this event was barely planned. #OccupyCleveland had a few individuals who appeared to be coordinating the day’s events, but it was clear there was no schedule and there was...

My family and I just got back from Boccieri's office. Still "working on the details" of the town halls they say. I told the aides that I'm inclined to believe that he won't be having any. I also told them I expected more out of him given that he was a Major in the Air Force. I pointed out that Specter knew he was going to get pounded just because he changed parties and he still held a town hall. With my wife and kids all holding signs, we drew some interest from other citizens that were there in the...

Browns In Awe of President By Zac Jackson, Staff Writer This report filed July 31, 2004 President Bush greets Phil Dawson Saturday morning. Photo By John H. Reid III The chance to meet George W. Bush had Browns kicker Phil Dawson feeling downright giddy. That no introduction was necessary—the President recognized Dawson and recalled a game-winning kick he’d made at the University of Texas—left Dawson speechless. Shock and awe, NFL style. Bush visited the team before practice Saturday morning, played catch with the Browns receivers, and mingled with players, coaches, and staff. “It was great to catch a pass from...

CIA agent 'met Bin Laden in July' by Toby Rose Le Figaro today claimed that a CIA agent met Osama bin Laden in a Gulf hospital as recently as last July and received "precise information" about an imminent attack on the US. The hospital today vigorously denied the report, which is based on a number of sources, including French secret services and a hospital administrator. Bin Laden ...
