  • Calif. Town Tops Roll Call of Climbing US Jobless Rates [El Centro with 28% Unemployment]

I drove through El Centro a couple of times to vacation in San Felipe. This was back in the 80’s. It was a terrible dump. I went into a large grocery store and OMG it was filthy. Cigarettes put out in the frozen vegtables, spilled ??? on the unmopped floors. Just plain awful. The whole town was filthy and disgusting. The only thing that made it half way presentable was it’s sister city, Mexicali. Talk about an ugly sister.

I wish all the people who think that open borders are great and that uncontrolled immigration brings positive things to communities could see El Centro (and Brawly, Indio etc).

Just creating the filth Americans won’t do.

Please don't flame me (as she puts on her fireproof undies) but IIRC, a Phalanx gun isn't going to shoot up a pirate boat skiff or mother.

something about the the CWIS not being designed to track anything moving below a certain speed. Like incoming missile yes, scrawny pirates in a motorboat no.

I am told this by my daughter CWIS tech FC2 (yeah, proud navy mom)

this woman is an idiot. She is the one who said Osama bin Laden was admired because he built infrastructure and daycare centers.

She needs to go, but there is little hope of that since King county is the district that elects her and they have no shortage of dead voters and homeless who will vote multiple times for cash and cigarettes.

    There otta be a law..........enforced.

We pray for our enemies to renounce their evil and to willingly and gladly except Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

Satan and his demons are what they are. There is no choice no free will for them and they are incapable of being anything other than what they are. Evil wholly directed at all that is good and righteous.

A muslim is able to see the error of his faith. Whether he will is another matter. Satan and his minions have no such choice.

I pray that the whole muslim world sees the error of their ways and repents. While I praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.

um, that was sell our cloaks and buy daggers.

I'm hoping he recovers so he can be put up before an army firing squad and shot one shot at a time. Wrapped in fresh pig skin ofcourse.

The Japanese were interned in WW2 for far far lass than this. Can't we just send all these muslims back to what ever 3rd world poo hole they crawled out of?

0/11 ,7/7, and 11/7 taught me all I need to know about Islam .

Thank you for pointing that out.

Jesus told us to go forth, to be wise as serpents and gentle as doves. He also said to sell out cloaks and buy a dagger.

He knew what we would be up against.

I can see praying for this mans soul before he went jihadi but I'll save my prayers for his victims and the heroes that took him down.

A little off topic: I read that Fox News is reporting that he has been taken off the ventilator. Does anyone know if that is because he is going to expire or he is recovering?

We had around 250 to 300 in Bremerton, wa.

It was a wonderful crowd but something was missing....

Oh yeah, no hackysack, no weed, no shrieking harpies in pink, no demented posters and signs portraying decapitated politicians and no f* Bush, et al signs. No violence, probably because there were no “peace protesters” to commit their usual violence.

One fellow did come up to the mike (it was an open mike event) and whined that since we had such an historic president we should all be fair and let him make his mistakes. He was listened to and then boo’d, the the crowd chanted USA USA USA till he gave up and stalked up. One of the crowd yelled “stop drinking your bong water!” after him.

All in all it was a really fine event and finished up with the national anthem led by a WWII vet. Our local paper played it down as much as possible.

I remember this case quite well.

It had come out that this perv had molested other boys in other locations for years. And for these offenses he had always gotten a slap on the wrist and moved to another area.

It was a very big case in the area and got lots of local news coverage. He had a snide attitude and indicated that he would just get a few months, it was no big deal to him. It drove Nellie crazy and finally she went to do something about it. When she walked into the courtroom he turned around and smirked at her to taunt her. So rained lead on him from pretty close range and that was that.

She became a local hero instantly and was really the darling of the frustrated law abiding citizens. Then it was discovered that she had traces of meth in her system. Suddenly she was just a drug crazed meth freak vigilante and was really dragged through the mud to get public opinion against her. She was convicted in and sent to jail, no longer the hero or the grief stricken mother. Just written off as a violent methfreak because of a tiny trace of meth in her system.

This whole case interested me because the court of public opinion was so quickly swayed. If you are taunted and traumatized to the point that you kill a pervert you are a hero. But if you use meth (very bad stuff) a few days before you do it you are an evil doer. Hmmmmf. I don't think it was ever established that she was a regular user, just promoted by an embarrassed small time county DA.

The owner (or major share holder) of the parent company of the Enquirer has very close financial and personal ties to the Clintons, Bill Clinton in particular.

IMHO, They (the Clintons) were behind the expose’ of John Edwards affair, and now they are using that newly minted credibility to slime Sarah Palin.

I don't think any of it is true, they are just flailing around, and hoping the can turn Sarah into a pariah like they did Edwards.

Think about this. Sarah Palin is more of a threat to Hillary's ‘2012 presidential hopes than any other person that walks the face of the earth today.

In a match up Palin would win by a landslide, Hillary just doesn't have the “Likability” factor that Palin has.

Ok, maybe I'm just out there but look at the saucy, “get f**k’d” tilt of Ayers head in the mug shot and compare it to the way Obama was tilting his head as he gave his nuanced (gibberish) answers at the Saddleback Forum.

Why oh why do they always say “nuanced”?

When did stuttering and stammering become a “nuanced answer”?

It really hit me listening to Kerry answer off the cuff questions that he could not string together a coherent sentence. And yet his adoring minions in the MSM would coo about how delightfully nuanced he was.

Kerry didn't stutter as much as Obami, he would just ramble verbally, “I uh, can assure, you that, uh I will uh, make every effort, to uh, when I was in Viet Nam.............” and somehow that was nuanced.

No wonder liberals have to communicate in slogans and catch phrases.

“I don’t intend to lose this election. John McCain doesn’t know what he’s up against.”

Can you imagine the screaming and hysterics from the dhimmicrats if McCain had said “I don't intend to lose this election. Barcrack Obama doesn't know what he's up against”?

There would howls and shrieks of assassination conspiracies. Frankly I think it would sink McCain if he did say something as stupid and bombastic as that. And yet to the MSM and the donks, their guy is talking macho and tough.

    Feh.

I wouldn’t trade you for all those volcanoes for ..........

LOL, always makes me smile when people from one area compare the threats in their own backyard to threats in another area.

I was visiting central Texas once (I grew up in California)and one of the locals asked me if we ever got earthquakes where I lived. I said yes, quite a few it wasn't really any big deal except for every 5 to 10 years a really big one would hit. He thought I was was nuts to be ok with that. I asked him about tornadoes and he just shrugged and said they only get one or two a year, no biggy!

I am terrified of tornados. To me a huge mountain that poofs out some steam once in awhile like Mt St. Helens is currently doing from time to time is no sweat. Not over looking the massive eruption that happened in 1980. Atleast you get lot's of warning.

I've heard that you can grow orchids on your front porch and there are flocks of exotic birds in Florida though and I sure would like to see that, but man those tornadoes....

I'm outside of Cottage Grove, in the hills. Haven't heard any thunder in the last 10 minutes. I'm just a temp here in Oregon so I'm not real good on locations but I think I'm straight inland (more or less) from you.

Hope you have a quiet peaceful night and the puppies settle down.

I had no idea that it was sooooo hot and humid here in the Willamette valley. Can't wait to get back home to the Puget Sound.

Wow sounds pretty dramatic. I'm here in southern Lane County and it's kinda blah. Humid, hint of breeze and mild temp. Soft rumblings from time to time in the distance.

My weather report says crazy rain etc hitting mid week. What part of Oregon coast are you in? Maybe I've got something to look forward to since it's too dang hot to sleep again tonight.

I personally wouldn't worry about any KOmmies raising up out of that feverswamp and attacking Mr. Corsi.

They would have to crawling over the mountains of empty pizza boxes and ‘Dew cans in their mommies basement into the day light.

Also, I suspect that on some level of survival instinct they know that many (even most) conservatives are armed and capable.
