The "author," and I use the term loosely, whose vicious lies damaged John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign has crawled back out from under his rock to spew vicious lies about Barack Obama. Right-wing radio talk-show hosts are dutifully transmitting this concocted venom. This presidential campaign has officially gotten ugly.
The "author" I'm talking about is a man named Jerome Corsi. In a book published last year, "The Late Great USA: The Coming Merger with Mexico and Canada," Corsi claimed that George W. Bush was at the heart of a secret conspiracy to subsume the United States into a post-national, one-worldish North American Union. Corsi's writings on far-right blogs have been even more paranoid and delusional. He has written that pedophilia, for which he used a more graphic term, "is OK with the Pope as long as it isn't reported by the liberal press." He has referred to Muslims as "ragheads."
Corsi would be known as just another visitor from the outer fringe if he had not been the co-author of "Unfit for Command," the book that slimed Kerry's exemplary record as a Swift boat commander in Vietnam. The allegations in that book were discredited, but not before they had been amplified by the right-wing echo chamber to the point where they raised questions in some voters' minds - perhaps enough to swing the election.
It was an abominable trick, but quite remarkable. Kerry's opponent, George W. Bush, had avoided Vietnam by taking refuge in the Texas Air National Guard. Kerry was a decorated war hero, yet somehow his valor and sense of duty were turned into a political negative and used against him.

They make it sound like this is a new tactic. Every, single, year books come out about the candidates, good and bad. They’re just pissed because we do it so much better than they do.

I just went on Amazon and bought this book. The storm troopers from Daily KOS are trying to bury the book by writing scathing reviews. They are so humorous......

Funny that nobody on the stupid left ever itemizes any of those "lies." Why not? Two answers. 1: They don't want people to actually be aware of the charges. 2: They're 100% true.

If they were discredited, they certainly weren’t discredited by those 100 pages of John Kerry’s service record which he promised to release during the campaign, and after the campaign, but which have not yet been released, AFAIK.
If Barack Henry Obama is not going to reveal anything true about himself, he can't be surprised when somebody else fills in the blanks.

Odd because if this was nothing but a lie, where was the lawsuit?

Now that the Obomanation's lies are coming to light, the truth must be resisted at all cost!
Not wanting to “swift boat” a candidate is the same as saying “we don’t want the truth to come out.”
Let’s get the meaning of the words straight.

In 'The Greatest Speech Ever', Obama admitted he was in the pews when Rev. Wright made controversial statements. The one fact the author used to demonstrate Corsi's book contains lies is not even true.
You have to remember, that for a Donk, sticking your fingers in your ears and shouting "LALALA LA LA LA!!! I CAN'T HEAR YOU!!!" is a valid rebuttal.
Robinson has been in the tank for Obama for a long time. The problem with his article is that what Corsi wrote about Kerry was all true. Instead of attacking Corsi he should try and refute what he says in his book. But of course, he might have trouble doing that.

As I remember, the most effective 'discrediting' was kerry and a few others reciting "nuh-uh, so there" in unison.

Anyone remotely familiar with the military would be suspicious of someone who spent only four months in Vietnam, was awarded three Purple Hearts, but never missed any time due to wounds, and left Vietnam eight months early because he’d been awarded three Purple Hearts.
Anyone remotely familiar with the military would also know that it is a giant bureaucracy where all sorts of butt kissing and string pulling and favoritism can take place, just like any other organization.
I anticipate that like with John O’Neil, eventually the MSM will invite Corsi on their shows under the impression that they will be able to discredit him.
Unfortunately for them, like O’Neil, Corsi is proving himself to be quite adept at defending himself and his charges without throwing a tizzy.

As Ann Coulter once stated, conservatives get angry if you lie about them. Liberals, on the other hand, get angry if you tell the truth about them.
Wasn’t there a million dollar offer made (perhaps by one of the authors) if someone could actually discredit the arguments of the Swifties? I seem to remember that Kerry claimed they should send it to some charity because they were untrue but that was the end of his rebuttal.

This is in keeping with the leftist media’s MO of shooting the messenger when they don’t like the news. Just like the good totalitarians they are.
I bought two yesterday after reading the NYT ‘review’. Then I’m going to join a book club and study Obamanation with the audio tracks of BHO’s books. I hear that this emphasises the points in Corsi’s book in Obama’s own words.
Instead of answering the questions of substantive issues, they are attacking Jerome Corsi.
Corsi may not be of the highest integrity, I don’t know, but if the facts are documented, let the facts speak for themselves. You don’t see any books being written defaming G. W. Bush or John McCain do you? There has to be some material to work with.
BTW, Corsi was on “Fox and Friends” this morning. The far-left website, Daily KOS, has posted his address on their website. He has been getting death threats.
