My mom was the same way, CNN night and day. As the eldest son I took her to appointments, but God forbid if I had Rush on the radio in the car. She died before COVID, thankfully. She was nice in family situations, but not much at reminiscing.

Seattle in the 1950’s did not have MLB, NFL, or NBA. The biggest sporting event of the year was the Gold Cup or Seafair hydroplane races held every August on Lake Washington. The rivalry was with Detroit which had previously dominated the Gold Cup races since the 1940’s. The boats were powered by WWII aircraft engines, Rolls-Royce and Allison. The sports heroes were the hydroplane drivers, namely Bill Muncey on Miss Thriftway, Mira Slovak on Hawaii Kai, and I forget the name of the driver of Slo-Mo IV. The 3 major networks all broadcasted the races locally and Keith Jackson made his bones there. Bill O’Mara was another. The lakeside venue was absolutely mobbed on race day. Since Boeing dominated the city’s economy, the venue became an ideal spot for an airshow. I do not remember which year the Blue Angels began their displays, but I remember seeing the Boeing red and yellow prototype 707 performing a barrel roll over the lake in 1955.

I hope Marie runs for the Senate. She’s no Linda Smith but she would be a big improvement over Cantwell or Murray. With all mail in voting only Democrats have a chance.
I always wait until the article loads and then switch to the read only option on the top right corner. The text will be in the center of your screen with no distractions on either side. American Thinker aims its content at intelligent people, the ads are aimed at morons.

Despite being run by brain-dead liberals, Seattle and Portland are not on the list. I live halfway between them so I am familiar with both. Their minority percentages are fairly low.

I have regular nightmares about owning a similar 2 story plus attic building like this, same vintage but less elaborate. The cost to restore would be millions, especially if all California laws were to be followed.
“ I’m a very passionate person and I like to learn,” Ortiz shared. “People took (away) that opportunity for me to learn, and now I’m in college and I wanna take advantage of that. Because this is my education.”
Kamala Harris?
I operate a mail order business, I mail 150 packages per month to various US addresses including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and Guam. I have not lost a domestic package in the last 8 years.Packages sent to foreign addresses encounter numerous problems, with the exception of the UK and Japan. My packages are all prepared at home and I never wait in line at a post office unless I am in some other state shipping a package home. I have some criticisms of staffing and customer service at large metro post offices but i cannot argue with the overall efficiency in terms of results.
