Lots of hate for shrooms in this post. To each their own, I guess. Speaking for myself, I find them highly effective at sub-perceptual micro-doses from time to time. I take them for focus, energy, and creativity. Not saying they are for everyone, but I like them. I am a sales analyst and they suit my job quite well.

I am almost 50 and did plenty of shrooms and acid recreationally 20 to 30 years ago. Not up for that kind of party madness these days, but I don't regret any of it.

Cheating worked well for Rubio in Iowa, trust me, I witnessed it. But thankfully the election is not a caucus. Trump is going to win Iowa.

Paul Ryan will be POISON for every rep he does campaign for. Trumpsters will heckle him everywhere from here on out. They will punish the turncoats by withholding their votes.

Dude, let me tell you about my experience caucusing in Dubuque County. I am in Dubuque Precinct 31. About a mile down the road is a middle school, also in a precinct 31, that serves as a caucus site. But it is not the caucus site for precinct 31. No precinct 31 has to travel 20 minutes out of town, through freezing fog to Peosta. I had to park a good mile or more away from the location. I was in line for 45 minutes outside in the freaking cold.

The Republican Party sucks soooo hard! Seriously, when they passed an envelope for donations I damn near spit in it. The whole caucus was a cluster with people handing out stacks of scrap paper with no controls. The Republican party can't run a caucus, its no wonder they continually fail to beat Democrats. And the Iowa caucus isn't even a caucus like the dems have. It is a poorly run primary that uses scrap paper instead of voting machines.

The Republican party sucks. Glad Cruz and Trump finished well. But the Republican Party sucks.

I am in Dubuque iowa, historically a very Union democrat heavy area in NE iowa. Yesterday, my father in law called to ask me how the Republican caucus works. This is a guy who has been in a union his whole life and never once voted for a Republican. He and his wife, sister, and her husband went to the Dubuque airport to listen to Trump. All 4 lifelong Dems that are now supporting Trump. Not because Trump is week, but because he is strong. The LOVE him. “Trump don’t take sh!t from anyone.” is how my father in law put it These aren’t folks that were ever truly liberal, they just voted that way because the union told them to. Avid hunters and gun collectors, Catholic, trades people - carpenter, machinist, school teacher, and a nurse. I was floored. These 4 have always been there for the taking, but it took a communicator like Trump to close the deal.

I have decided to caucus for Trump next Monday. Not because I agree with him, not because I like him, and not because I expect him to turn this ship around.

What motivates me is really quite simple: trolling the elites. The smug faced A-holes that shoved Bush on us in 2000, the compromisers, the nannies, the school marms, the professional victims, etc. THEY are the ones that ruined the "brand".

So Trump is just my way of giving the finger to the elites, the pundits, and yes, the dewy eyed true believers that still have hope in our system. They can all stuff it.

George Allen, Vince Lombardi, Tom Landry,, George Hallas etcetera all “cheated” as well. Documented. I don’t think there has ever been a football team that didn’t cheat.

Who gives a rip? Freedom is what this is about as far as I am concerned. Trans fat, alcohol, tobacco, guns, weed, etc. should be left to the individual. If this medical weed approach can get the camels nose into the tent then I support it.

It is hilarious to see grown men acting as though the NFL is some sort of sacred institution with a grand history of fair play and sportsmanship. Football is like war, and while there are rules that govern both, winning is what it is all about.

The NFL teams have played fast and loose with the rules since the league was formed. Vince Lombardi, Don Shula, Tom Landry, George Allen, George Halas, Mike Shanahan, Lovey Smith etc, etc, are all documented cheaters.

Not true. The song in question was recorded by Johnny Rebel, NOT Johnny Horton. This has been wrongly attributed to Johnny Horton in numerous publications and on the internet, but it isn’t true. Here is a good article on this confusion: http://www.spasticmonkeys.com/lileks-blew-it/

I have had the same experience as you. Had an android that I thought was awesome. Fiddled with it all the time. Then I got an ipad and it was just so tight and fun that I found myself only using my phone to make and take calls (funny - since I suppose that is the purpose of a phone). When the IT guy at work said he could get me an iphone I jumped at the chance and I completely dig it. Competes with my ipad for attention.

I really did not want to like Apple products. I always thought of them as computers for stupid people and volvo driving vegetarian lesbians. But the ipad won me over and the iphone has kept me there.

I even switched to a MacBook Pro. I like it better than my old dell in every way but one - Excel for Mac sucks and I am an Excel junkie. I have gotten it to work alright but sometimes I wonder if it is worth the hassle.

They are charging $122 for 2 grams, so that is nearly a 50% mark-up from the spot price of $88 for 2 grams. That does include packaging and certification, though :)

  • Tea Party Nation [pro-life, pro-military, anti-homo agenda] Letter to the GOP!

I am not in favor of the GOP Proud position. I don’t claim that they represent the tea party in any way shape or form. Same for the pro-abortionists. I think those people are particularly evil. I am not advocating any one “letting them in.”

What I am advocating, is that the tea party put forth ideas and champions legislation that makes government smaller/less intrusive, and that lowers taxes. Why would that drive you out of the tea party?

The more issues the tea party takes a stand on, the smaller it becomes. For example, in a survey of self described tea party members, 61% said they are opposed to free-trade. So if the tea party decides to add protectionism to its list of demands, it instantly loses a third of its members. That isn’t to say that trade policy is unimportant, or that the folks concerned about free-trade are right or that they are wrong. It just isn’t the banner that unites us all.

If the gun rights lobby insisted on taking positions on abortion, drug legalization, trade policy, and homosexuality, then they’d be far less effective. But that doesn’t mean the NRA or GOA is pro-homosexual, or pro-abortion. They are focused on gun legislation.

If the tea party takes a stand on every issue, then it will become a political party. But that political party already exists - it is called the Constitution Party and it has been around since 1992 and has never gotten more than .2% of the vote.

The tea party coalition of people is influential right now because we are deep and wide and 100% united in our conviction that the government is too big, it is too intrusive, and taxes are too high. We desperately need a large coalition to hold the politicians accountable on spending and scope of government.

Absolutely, taxes are only a part of it. But they are a very significant part of it, given the Boston Tea Party served as the inspiration for the name.

Are gays in the military a good idea? I don’t think so. But I also don’t think that the Constitution addresses that issue. If the debate over gays in the military is separate from the discussions of taxes and constitutional government, then I don’t think the discussion belongs under the tea party label. Maybe I am wrong about whether this is addressed in the constitution. If so, I am open to correction.

The majority of self described tea partiers probably share similar views on a wide array of subjects. But that doesn’t make all those subjects tea party issues.

If you want the Tea Party to be an actual political party, then no matter how you slice it it will be an act of subtraction.

However, if the Tea Party is more conceptual, then its proper role is to promote ideas and legislation which shrinks government, reduces spending, and expands freedom. When those ideas are forwarded in congress, I will be happy if they pass, whether some of the votes come from homosexual baby killers or not. Does that mean I’d vote for a pro-abortion candidate? Hell no! I would not, regardless of how many spending cuts they support.

Exactly, the tea party has no leader. I don’t trust anyone that claims to speak on my behalf. I support the tea party because I believe we need a smaller, less intrusive government that spends less and taxes less.

I have a lot of other beliefs that don’t necessarily fall under the tea party banner, and I am fine with that. The more items we append to the tea party, the smaller it becomes.

His cop show is pretty entertaining. He is quite an odd dude that doesn’t really fit in any conventional category. Based on the show, it is clear that he respects the 2nd Amendment. He shows a lot of compassion for the downtrodden, but is definitely a “tough-love” sort of guy. He seems sort of contradictory - a gentle man with killer dogs and fighting skills. He practices a lot of eastern philosophy, yet he is narcissistic. His hair has receded and thinned, but I think he paints his scalp jet black. He may even have hair tattooed on his scalp - it is funny. Half of the shots of him are close-ups that crop out the top of his head.
