Condi's policy speech should be occuring within a few hours. Is it being broadcast on any cable channels? I checked C-Span and it appears that the Senate and House are in session all day.

Yes folks, I know it's a couple of hours away, but for you loyal C-Span listeners, the debate will be carried live on C-Span 2 today. Live streaming on C-Span 2's server for those of you with high bandwidth carriers. Box-o-Rox has asked for a full hour in which to call Dr. Rice a lying slut. Meantime, the senior Senator from the state of West Virginia has brought some friends of his down to testify to Rice's unfitness for her office: Other Dhimmis have asked for time to object to Dr. Rice as well. Meantime, I wonder if McCain...

As my system is back up and running, I thought I'd call the Major in off the beach. Too many Blue Hawaiians won't do this character any good. Meantime, congratulations to President Bush, Vice President Cheney, their families, and of course, Condi Rice, as they continue to guide our nation through perilous waters. Be Seeing You, Chris

I am doing research for a novel. One of the issues involves the Panzer Lehr Division. The 130th Panzer Lehr Division was made up of the premier units from the various demonstration and instruction units throughout Germany. It had a reputation as the most powerful Panzer formation in the German Army. I have looked at several different OOB's for Panzer Lehr in the runup to Operation OVERLORD. Despite its reputation, and the assertion of several sources, I find that the 130th had no Tiger Battalion attached to it. If you look at the OOB for Panzer Lehr, you find...

Fellow-Countrymen: AT this second appearing to take the oath of the Presidential office there is less occasion for an extended address than there was at the first. Then a statement somewhat in detail of a course to be pursued seemed fitting and proper. Now, at the expiration of four years, during which public declarations have been constantly called forth on every point and phase of the great contest which still absorbs the attention and engrosses the energies of the nation, little that is new could be presented. The progress of our arms, upon which all else chiefly depends, is as...

John Forbes Kerry walks into a bar. He says hello to the bartender, sits down, orders a scotch, and starts drinking. Ten minutes later, a horse walks into the bar, orders a scotch and soda, and sits down next to Kerry. The horse turns to Kerry and says, "Hey, fella? Why the long face?" Be Seeing You, Chris

Earlier this afternoon I received an email in my private box from an organization that purported to be former Bush supporters who have "seen the light" and have decided to support John Kerry. The text of the email is as follows: A week ago, we sent you an email asking for help debunking anti-Bush documents. After receiving hundreds of responses, it become clear that all the documents were actually real: the Bush/Cheney DUIs, the Ken Lay letters, and even the bin Laden memo. For more information visit the documents page: http://www.yesbushcan.com/falsedocs.shtml We also received hundreds of emails from concerned...

A flaming vanity, but worth the observation. Before anyone throws themselves off the Coit Tower because of that bogus Newsweak poll, I would strongly recommend that you do the following. Watch where the Bush people are placing their new ad buys. If the Bush folks are placing Ad buys in Gore states, the strategic situation hasn't changed. If Bush is buying ads in Texas and Oklahoma, we're dead. So far as I can tell, Bush's new "Global Test" commercial is slated for the Gore 2000 battlegrounds. That indicates to me that Bush's internal polling still has him in a...

My latest analysis of the situation in Iraq. Moderately long. Click on the Major to get there, or on the link. Be Seeing You, Chris

Back in the Day, after Kerry's coronation in Boston, he maintained his "tough guy" image by saying that he would have taken down Saddam. Now he has changed to a Pacifist approach to the war. It was all a Tragic Mistake. The clueless BushHitler rushed into war without a plan to end the war and, worst of all, without the French. Now we are paying an intolerable price in lives because of BushHitler and his patrons at Halliburton. So, next year, we'll bug out faster than a herd of young boys from Michael Jackson's Neverland estate. It's another Vietnam and...

One of the pages I look at closely every day is RealClearPolitics.com. Today is a special day, and I will tell you why. For about the past three months, RCP's average of polling data (Gallup, Rasmussen, etc.) has given Kerry anywhere from a one point to a three point average lead on Bush. Today, Bush moved ahead. In the three way matchup (Bush, Poodle, Nader) Bush is up by 7/10 of a point. However, in the two-way, where one might expect some Nader people to go to Kerry, Bush expands his average lead to a full point. Here is...

Well that was an agonizing move, even if it was only across town. Anyhoo, apologies to Rokke, Common Tator, and the rest for not making my presence felt. Anyway, I'll be here and there now that we're getting into the heat of the Campaign. Personally, I'm looking forward to two things in June. 1. A Bush comeback and a pull ahead of Kerry. Kerry didn't help himself by becoming the candidate of Peace With Honor and Withdrawl. Somebody get Neville an umbrella for me, okay? 2. A final turn in the war in our favor. I think our people...

<p>The White House will allow national security adviser Condoleezza Rice to testify in public and under oath before the commission investigating the 9/11 attacks, a senior administration official said today. The White House had resisted letting Rice appear in public, arguing it would be a violation of executive privilege.</p>

Hey, guys! I just thought of something grand. Let's take up a beer collection for the Apache crews that got Yasin! These guys deserve at least that much. Anybody got any suggestions, especially any Israeli Freepers?

I understand that Bush is supposed to make a campaign speech today. Is anyone planning on a live thread?

Well folks, it's that time of year again. Tom Ridge and the people at DHS have received the analysis of the chatter gathered by NRO, DIA, and other assorted alphabet agencies and it appears that the Rags have decided to do the whole Grinch thing. Naturally, Americans can be an awfully accomodating bunch, in that 72 virgins kind of way, so I was wondering that given that the threat board just went to orange, what are the Best Practices for carry, ammunition, and accessories during this period. In other words, are you stuck with your 9mm when you're going about...

Congratulations to the Officers and Men of the U.S. 4th Infantry Division, "Ivy", and their comrades in the Kurdish Peshmergha, on the event of the capture of Saddam al-Hussein. Well done, gentlemen. Cigars all around. Be Seeing You, Chris
