  • N. Korea Demands Talks With U.S.

I think the answer is simple.... We tell NK that their failure to attend the talks will result in the end of the cease fire that put the Korean war on hold for over 50 years. Failure to negotiate on such a critical issue leads to one thing... A nice little bombing raid into NK! If they launch a nuke they have no ground to stand on and Japan will be the only country in history to be nuked 2ce. The bombs they do have should do about the same damage as the ones we dropped on Japan to end WW2. This is not something that we can wait on. NK can not be allowed to have a way of putting a nuke on the American Continent.

They are government workers. This means that they arnt going to do anything until after the fact! Personally I'm all for an old fashioned Spaming. Suspected Jehadist should be hung over a pool of pigs bloud and told to squeel on their Buddy's before they get a nice bath! Then after you get all the info outa them (and a confession) Dip them and then in the pigs blood. head first and let them drown in it!

Also note to Jehadist if you think your bad a$$ come visit me and my bacon grease doped .357 rounds.

And a Quick Update From the Deck Of the USS Abraham Lincoln(cvn-72) We're still hauling out about 100,000 lbs of food and water a day to the beaches. Folks from the ship are now Helping to restore power and water to the hosptials. We're slowly rebulding the lost infstucture. The Biggest help to these people so far has been the Ships ability to produce fresh water. We've been able to load portable plastic jugs with water and deliver them with the hello's where Its really needed. Last week We dropped off over 200 stuffed animals to the children who lost everything. The toys were donated by members of the crew. This is the stuff they arnt reporting on ABC

yeah well guys it was bound to happen. First they disarm them and then enslave them. And this coming from "Our Closest Ally" The Brits according to Churchill had only fear its self to fear I think as the last bastion of freedom on the planet we have the Brits and the EU/UN to fear. Now lets take this one more step Clinton makes UN sec. Hillary gets elected pres and as UN head Clinton signs great Peace treaty to end the war on Terror. We lose our Constitution to the UN charter and thus have occupying UN army's Going door to door because the Last of the Terrorist are armed insurgents in the United States who refuse to turn over their weapons and submit to UN control. Add this to the new Shaping of our armed services into a bunch of brown nosing yes men,(hasn't happened yet but its in the process Big time here in the navy people with spine are black balled and like me are getting outa here) who will have no problems going door to door to disarm Americans. Who says Hillary isn't the anti Christ and bill the puppet on the strings? Am I just an out of my gourd Right Wing Basket Case? Or dose this sound plausible?

No if your puter is off and your Ethernet connection is removed the only thing they could hit would be a router if your using one of those.

If they did hit your router they could get routing tables from you.(not a biggie thats what routers do is swap tables basically they tell each other where to go and how to get there) If your using a static rout(meaning you use one route though your router to go directly to a set address generally the gateway between your computer and your Internet source)they could change that source. This setup is often used on back end systems folks put out a target computer or server with stuff on it that makes hackers think they've hit the real thing then the real workings are farther back behind other routers. They use this computer as a connection to the net and basically it works like a big darn expensive cable modem.
This type of system is one where the hackers want to see routing tables that way hackers can see if you have other routers(meaning computers or networks behind it) in your office they probably have one or two routers. Windows 2000 and later server soft where packages have software that can act like routers but it can bog down the system having software handle a hardware function, kind of like having your refrigerate act as an AC unit in your kitchen, Yes it could do the job but why not just get a window box or run a central air vent.

Also depending on how your computer packets they could get a packet sniffer but that generally takes a physical connection somewhere in the data stream between you and your isp. (they'd have to bug you at the pole, in your house, extra) Standard protocol for the Internet is TCP/IP and its just a way for computers to take big chunks of data break it down into smaller chunks and make sure it gets where its going. Kind of like putting a address and stamp on an envelope with the info inside. Just like there are may ways to mail a letter(overnight, priority, first class extra) there are different protocols that computers can use to break down data into smaller pieces.

I understand packet sniffing is now in big use by the government under the Patriot Act for suspected terrorist. The electronic equivalent of opening peoples digital mail to see whats inside. The problem with this is that everyone could be a terrorist so just keep in mind that you have no privacy on-line no mater who tells you otherwise. The big argument is rather you still have first amendment protection while on-line.

I'm trying to KISS- keep it simple silly. The way i see it is if you can't explain something in layman's terms than you probably don't know what your doing.

No they cant attack your computer if you unplug your Ethernet connection when your not there. However, If you have a Trojan horse or some other little nasty it can send info to the hacker once you plug in. This is why having your anti Virus updated is so important. I use Norton and have the live update check daily. Most times it just comes back and says no updates. Also some Virus will mess things up real bad. One thing i do that isn't 100% but works well is i have 2 separate hard drives in my computer. I have a 100gig hard drive i use to save everything on and I've copied over to mp3 the albums i listen to most often these are on this hard drive. I have a 40 gig hard drive that i install all my aplications on as well as the operating system XPpro. If for what ever reason i need to format and reinstall my Operating system i disconnect my save hard drive(that way any infections don't hit it) i then install every thing update my anti virus and run a scan on my save disk one i connect it.(my backup is internal however they make USB External hard drive cases that you can put a hard drive in that are real nice. When i need more hard drive space I'll get one of these)

did you explain to her that if Microsoft and her isp take care of that for her they also will tell her where she can and cant surf. Won't she be mad if they told her that NO you cant use Yahoo mail any more because were Microsoft and we say you have to use hotmail! Or no You can't go to FreeRepublic.com because we thing they are hate mongers but you can go to DU all you want. Hackers are the nuisance we have to put up with in order to have a free network. And in order to have freedom you have to be willing to pay a little more a year to buy anti virus software and keep a current firewall up. Or the other approach is sell her on Dial Up that way there is not an easy target static ip number

OK just a few odd misconceptions in the article that have me wondering The one common theme of these phishing sites is that nearly all are being hosted on IP addresses and mostly outside of the US," the report states. the author has to be a mac user every thing is hosted on an IP address www.whatever.com is an easier to remember than 199.15.126.3/index.htm come on people at least send a reporter that knows something about computers to do a computer story

.... and a few lines downThe US is home to the majority of these baiting sites, hosting 29 per cent of those reported to the APWG in October so which is it are the they being hosted mainly in the us or mainly overseas? Consistacny please!

OK here's the trick to safer DSL/CABLE 1) if some one really wants to mess with your computer they will more than likely be able to do it. (thank you big brother and INTEL)If your worried about some one seeing financial data on your computer make sure that computer never hits the net and is a stand alone. That is the only 100% way that your data will not get hacked. 2)Use a firewall and keep it updated. You want one that blocks all ports (ports are basically what lane on the free way the info travels on www is port 80 but folks can hit you on any number of ports)and has the option of stopping all data flow in and out when you tell it to(like when your going to work or off to bed) 3)KILL ALL SPYWARE! this stuff comes embedded in free download programs. And depending on what it does it can just forward your cookies to a 3rd party(tracks where you surf) it can record your keystrokes and send it back to them(great way to steal someones passwords and account numbers btw) 4)Keep your anti virus up to date and every so often go to your anti virus web sight and have them run a remote scan. some of these new nasties trick your Norton into thinking "nothings wrong just skip over me" and having a remote computer scan for these little nasties is a big help. 5)use common sense. never send any password info that you don't want any one to see over a sight that dosn't have the little pic of the lock on the bottom of your browser when your on that sight. 6)make your passwords hard to crack. Don't use a password like PeggysCar most passwords are case sensitive so PeggysCar is better than peggyscar but you'd be better off with a password that looked like #P&gg^$ C@r little bit harder to remember but a lot harder to break and some places will let you use a space in a password if you can do it. keep all passwords over 8 letters or numbers(goes back to binary 8 numbers has to be spread out on 2bits instead of 1 making it a little more secure and when they play with the algortimoms they can scramble it better) 7)e-mail is cheep and easy to send. If it sounds to good to be true it is. Microsoft is not going to pay you to forward this e-mail to a bunch of people. Some rich guy in south Africa is not going to wire you money so he can move his family don't send him your bank number. You didn't just win the lottery from Europe if you did they would send you a Western Union message not an e-mail 8) use Netscape or some other 3rd party browser Internet explorer has always been buggy and sense its the most commonly used its the one the hackers go after first.

This IMHO is a way for the state of Oregon to punish us for shooting down a sales tax again. The Deamoncrats who have taken Oregon Hostage have killed the timber industry in Oregon destroying the industrial tax base at the same time have continued to pass socialistic entitlements. Now the state is heading towards bankruptcy. Now with this they can add more tax to go into the general fund. As well as make a profit for the Required purchase of these new meters which will sell more than likely for $1000 each only costing the state $100. Insted of being fiscally responsible they want to tax us more and do more for the people. In essence they have one agenda, They want to make every one in the state think like they do and control those that don't.
