Rich Lane is serving onboard USS Abraham Lincoln. He is a resident of Douglas County Oregon, where his wife still lives. He voluntarily retuned to active duty military after the 9/11 terrorist attacks after 4 years away from the service. He has been considering running for the 06 congressional seat for the 4th district in Oregon when he returns to civilian life in the fall of 05.
