That’s the problem. When you have no credibility, it is difficult to believe it even if it were to be true. Certainly, if the police did what is being alleged, that is unacceptable and a major problem. However, given the person involved has a long history of fanning bogus conspiracies, it is difficult to believe this alleged conspiracy is legit.

Adam Kokesh - prominent 9/11 truther enthusiast, Alex Jones ally, known for going overseas to solicit soldiers to abandon their posts and desert, praised physical shoe throwing assault on President Bush, etc.

I don’t give it any credibility given his history - if it was a set up he probably staged it himself to fan another conspiracy.

The press, however, has indeed underreacted by only giving tepid attention to it. If this was Bush the approval would have dropped 20+ points by now due to wall to wall coverage of each scandal.

It would also depend on how long ago he got the training. Some of these liberal schools weren’t always that way in those departments. If he got it decades ago, I wouldn’t be too concerned with it.

Didn’t we all witness the same testimony and knew this before we ever heard it? This makes her a hero? Come on, folks. Stating the obvious does not a hero make.

So the evidence presented in the testimony also didn't offer proof? She is speaking as a fact finder / prosecutor and threading all of it together - this testimony, combined with everything else we already knew, as she indicated at the start of her statement.

And we certainly "all" didn't know this information before - the overwhelming majority of people don't fellow things as closely as we do here.

Embarrassingly ridiculous...The solution is more competent and less corrupt leadership. When there is a major attack underway, you order in military assets to counter the attack - you don't order "stand down." The hearings are to identify why this was done and who was responsible - even if there are "solutions" to be sought you have to complete an investigation to know. And what is now being investigated is not just the incident itself, but the subsequent cover-up - what "solutions" are there for the Republicans to have for a cover-up?

Since his testimony wasn’t even reported, why would they need to?

Yes, hence why they are drawing so many of the new districts to include as many incumbent Republicans against each other as possible, including one with 3 in the same district. They can't draw them anymore geographically, save the urban areas, where a Democrat is guaranteed to win, so they try to get rid of the incumbents this way instead - in particular they are targeting the newer, younger GOP members.

Then having no big name step forward 4 years later and we got the ever polarizing David Williams as the nominee, which made the race entirely about personality vs. issues.

Rush’s show is owned by a company whose parent company is Clear Channel, and Cumulus, a large competitor of Clear Channel, is the company with which there is this dispute, airing the show of its competitor on 40 of its stations and paying fees to carry the show. That’s what this is about. Rush would have no trouble finding other media outlets. They are making a gamble that if they air a program that is their own product, even if they lose half of the audience they could make more money. That’s quite a gamble to want to lose a full half of your listeners. I doubt Huckabee could hold 50% of Rush’s audience, especially since Rush would just move to another station for people to find.

well, in this case, that doesn’t apply - they aren’t raising Federal taxes but rather passing a statute to allow states to collect taxes on online sales across state lines.

Also no explanation as to how any piece of legislation including those proposed would have had any effect on these tragedies - which are indeed tragedies, but just regulating lawful gun ownership would not have prevented them. Giving a 5 year old a .22 is bad parenting - not something a background check would have stopped.

Okay...I thought we were told gays / lesbians were "born that way" and we should accept that...and that therapy to correct this way of thinking should be banned by law. Now we are told that people are apparently not born a certain gender and can have surgery to supposedly "change" it (even though clearly, they are either XY or XX, barring very rare genetic disorders, regardless of any physical surgery) and *not* accept the way they were born - and others should have to pay for this surgery as part of "health care."

Madness in so many ways...if you are clearly a man or clearly a woman but believe you are really the other "trapped" inside of another body, that is clearly a mental disorder, not a physical disorder...and now administrators of a major university believes it makes sense to create a policy including it as a "benefit" to students which would take away resources from legitimate healthcare needs?

This is laughable - it’s a train wreck, period, as anyone with any sense predicted it would be. “More funding” would just make it a bigger train that wrecks.

This funding argument is to create a narrative to blame it on the Sequester and therefore the fault of the Republicans rather than the nature of the legislation itself.

Correct - that’s the point. They just want to be the protected class of the ‘old money’ - don’t want the possibility of any ‘new money’ coming along and challenging their position.
