*sighs*
Considering the Catholic Church is a registered non-profit organization, who the hell do they think they are, filing for bankruptcy protection. In principle as a non-profit org., they shouldn't be out to make money in the first place. Why do non-profit organizations get the same protections that tax-paying individuals and tax-paying corporations get? If the church wants those protections, it should be required to declare itself a for-profit organization (like it really is) and pay income taxes just like everyone else does.
