If they want to help out those who took out student loans, and i did as a parent for my son, why not just have it be interest free or a very very low interest rate?? That would save a lot of money for the borrower. This way NO ONER gets off Scot free. Also NO ONE is paying for anothers loan who already paid theirs back or never took one out. If one takes out a school loan they need to pay back every dime!!!!

It DOES preclude it if you are talking about michelle being elected and having her husband as VP since he is INELIGIBLE.to be VP at the start of her, or anyone elses term, since if she died or resigned on day one he wouls have to take her place and he is INELIGIBLE to do so. After she, or anyone else, is more than halfway thru he, bush, carter, clinton would be eligible to be VP.

If it were to happen that she run and is elected her husband COULD NOT be her VP until she is just over halfway thru her term. Constitutionally a president can only serve 10 years minus one day and can only be elected 2X.

An example would be LBJ. He took over the presidency over half way thru kennedy’s term. He then ran and won in 1964 and COULD have run in in 1968. Say he did run in 1968 and won that would gibe him 2 full terms (8years) plus 14 months as president after kennedy was shot.

To go back to your scenario michelle would have to have served OVER half of her term, then have her VP, who couldnt be her husband, resign and THEN appoint her husband as VP and then she resign.

Here is a link to a radio podcast James White did. Vines had spoken at a church on “gay Christianity” and James White took apart his talk and examined it logically and then exegeted the “clobber passages” Vines brought up. The whole thing is very good. And prescient, even being 5 hrs in total length

Roving you wrote: Jesus himself said we were to look to the sky. A lot of churches don’t talk about sin and where it can lead you. Maybe your pastor don’t want to hurt no one’s feelings.

No offense but that is laughable.. As i wrote to roman my whole pont is that prophecy doesnt dictate how we live as a believer but rather what should dictate how we live is that we know who God is (His attributes), what He requires (obedience), that we are united with Christ, that we are saved by grace thru faith. None of that requires looking “up to the sky” to give us hope. What gives hope is the promises of God that lead to salvation, that He can be trusted and is faithful.
My church and pastor do talk of sin and how to live for Christ every Sunday and are not man centered but God centered.

Ummm yes i do totally get...i dont think you get what I am saying...MY hope, as the song goes, is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. My hope is built on the attributes of God that He can be trusted. My hope is built on the promise of scripture that I have union with Christ thru the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, That God is my rock and refuge and an ever present help in times of trouble. My hope is built on whatn Christ has done as He works in and thru me to sanctify me and bring me to Himself.
Yes Jesus is most definitely coming back. He may be coming back in my lifetime, he may be not coming back in my lifetime but either way THAT is not my hope. My hope, is in what He promised, my union with Him and the salvation that He provided and in His trustworthiness and faithfulness.
My whole point to you was that many today who call themselves Christians rely on being removed from this world, raptured. before the tribulation and start of the outpouring of wrath. It is actually your position/the articles (in the OP) that we would escape any tribulation that would weaken the ability of the believer to withstand them..It gives the believer an out to say hey we are gone so i dont have to worry or live for God.
Having been to eastern Europe on mission trips when the soviets were in power and bringing in bibles and relief goods to believers in those countries i can easily attest that they went thru a lot of tribulation and had their faith refined and tested, as did mine. I did not look at prophecy for my strength when I could have been arrested and thrown into jail at anytime. I looked to the promises of scripture, the faithfulness of God, His attribute, my union with Christ as my strengtyh during those times.

And yes i can easily point out where the death of Christ was prophesied...so no reason to be snarky.

Also WHERE in what i wrote above did in infer I dont want Him to come back or think His kingdom isnt something to hope for? If you accuse me of that then you are bearing FALSE WITNESS!!!
Again my whole point is that PROPHECY SHOULD NOT BE THE REASON WHY ONE LIVES THEIR LIFE AS A BELIEVER BUT RATHER THAT WE SHOULD LIVE OUR LIVES AS BELIEVERS BECAUSE WE KNOW HIM, TRUST HIM, ARE UNITED WITH HIM (caps for emphasis..i am not yelling)

And I am far from woke

Your answer has nothing to do with my point on expository preaching.
for example if a pastor preaches from the book of Romans and goes verse by verse and exposits, i.e. explains the verses, then nothing is missed in that book in that the topics that are brought forth in the verses, sin, the cross etc...are brought forth. To go verse by verse in a book prevents a preacher from just preaching on a favorite topic. It forces the preacher to preach the context of the book and not just preach via prooftext.
Here is good article to further clarify what i mean.

    https://www.gotquestions.org/expository-preaching.html

I also do realize the majesty of scripture, its inerrancy, infallability and that it is the sole rule of faith to help us learn more about and know God and what He expects from us.

Seven You wrote “All scripture is profitable. It is the glory of God to conceal a thing. Who decides what is important?”

Yes all scripture is profitable..totally agree. If one preaches expositorilly, verse by verse from a book of scripture, then nothing is missed. I gave an example of just finishing John after 5 years, with breaks in between to preach different books, going verse by verse. Nothing was missed doctrinally because the book determines the sermon.

Roman you wrote: “Woke Churches don’t teach Prophecy and they don’t even care about the Return of their King.
    Is that too harsh?”

Are you equating churches that dont teach prophecy as being “woke”? The church I go to teaches scripture thru expository preaching. For example when we started the gospel of John we started it in June of 2018 and finished it earlier this year. When/if the text called for touching on certain topics, prophecy or not, they were addressed.
The main scope of preaching in ANY church should be the Gospel and Christ crucified NOT prophecy. Prophecy DOES NOT give people hope, as is seen in the quote below from the article. What gives people hope is the gospel and the promises of God and knowing who God is in His attributes that whatever happens God is good, He is merciful and has a purpose in all that occurs. That is what what gives me hope. Knowing WHO He is, what He has done.

Quote from the article “I know one thing, Satan sure doesn’t want Believers to study prophecy because it gives people hope. Through prophecy we find out we can live boldly in the face of the approaching storm because we know we’ll be rescued before the Wrath of God is unleashed on the earth”

In the above quote prophecy doesnt give me strength to live boldly, the Holy Spirit does!!! God saying what will eventually happen doesnt make me live boldly...Knowing WHO God is and His attributes makes me live boldly!!!! The article is very shallow, IMHO, and doesnt go deeper to the real reason we can live boldly...and that reason is GOD and WHO HE IS!!!!

Also you wrote: “I would suggest your average church going coddled Western Christians would abandon Jesus at the first sign of persecution.”

The reason why some would abandon Christ with persecution is becasue those who would abandon Jesus were not believers in the first place. A true believer would never fall completely away because they will be kept by the power of the Spirit, Peter being an example. He denied Jesus but He returned because of the promise of God and the Spirit working in his life. Those believers who suffered under communism did not live and suffer for Christ due to their knowing prophecy but rather because they KNEW HIM.

2 Tim 1:8 So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. 9 He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, 10 but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. 11 And of this gospel I was appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher. 12 That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet this is no cause for shame, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him until that day.
