I saw an interesting TV program a few months ago about how Margaret Thatcher used to have a high, airy voice and dressed a bit to too femininely before she was elected PM, and how they worked with her to improve how she came across, including the range of her speaking voice.
Salin Palim may be too authentic to take direction, but she just might benefit from some coaching in thi area.
Also, I also think she has pretty much won over the average man; she should brush up on her diction and syntax so she will be taken more seriously by the more (formally) educated crowd and foreign leaders. Folksy charm and back country syntax can make one sound simple-minded to many.
