Ventura County health officials have scheduled a meeting for Wednesday night after identifying a case of tuberculosis at an elementary school in Oxnard. The case involved someone at Rose Avenue Elementary School, located at 220 S. Driskill St., officials with Ventura County Public Health said Tuesday. I am here to ask for prayers for a friend of mine. They lost their little boy this morning. He has had heart issues and other medical problems since birth. He had to have open heart surgery and made it through. However, there were complications and he passed away. They lost a newborn many years ago. They have a daughter in her teens who was very close to her little brother. My friend and her husband are very active in their church and follow the Word and have strong faith. I do not post all that often so, please bear with me. A friend of mine has been waiting for a double lung transplant for many years. She is a wonderful woman, with a solid, supportive family and a true belief in the Lord. This morning, "the call" came. They drove from Vermont to Boston to prepare for the surgery. If the lungs are good, then she is likely having surgery as we speak. I am asking for the prayers of Freepers for this brave, resolute woman. Her name is Tammy and she is in God's hands. Thank you.

My son's friend was killed in a car accident the other day. I would appreciate prayers for the young man's family as well as for my son. I just received news that the body of the young man missing since 6/30 was found. I have no other details as of yet, but wanted to thank all of you for your prayers. His grandparents and brother will continue to need them. I am so hoping this was an accidental death. This teen was missing for almost 2 weeks and yet nothing was put on the news because the sheriff's dept wouldn't OK it. They considered him a runaway. Even a runaway should be searched for. I am not very good at posting but feel this is important. A young man/teen has been missing since last week. My friend's son spoke with him last Friday and there have been some "sightings". But, this boy, Jeff, is still missing. His mother passed away from cancer years ago and his father left. His grandparents are raising him. They are beside themselves. Today my son, baggyboy(FR name), had his school pictures taken. He asked me if he could take one of my Bush/Cheney pins to school. I wasn't sure what they would allow, but said "OK". A friend of mine is being transferred to southern Massachusetts. They do not want to live there. They are thinking of Rhode Island. However, they homeschool their children. She has heard that in Rhode Island there are some really strict rules in regards to homeschooling. I would love to hear from anyone who does homeschool in Rhode Island.
