When a ballot is tossed, other downstream candidates votes are also erased. Another statewide election, like the US Senator's race, loses its votes too. The Republicans could get Republican strongholds hand counted without using Bush's name. Just get the Republican Senate candidate to demand a recount of his election.

In order for every voter to have equal treatment, the machine vote must prevail. The only exceptions must be limited to Fraud or Tampering. Part of voting is showing up. Part of voting is being informed. Part of voting is reading the ballot instructions. Part of voting is poking the right hole in the ballot. Part of voting is machine error.

The Electoral College is made up of real living persons. What if a couple of these fine folks decides that the person getting the most popular votes should be President? Or perhaps, they have been intimidated or threatened by the "shadow" or some thugs.

I'm sitting here helpless, depending on nincompoops all over the country to bring Bush home. In an ocean of votes, I'm just a little cork being tossed about. But who could go to sleep before finding out just which beach I going to wash up on.
