So, a local school district I am associated with decided to purchase Pete Seeger CD's for all of their Kindergarten teachers for use in the classroom. If I had a Hammer was the chosen title. Now these are not the cutsie folk tunes that little ones can sing along to. Why do they need to listen to Casey Jones (Union Scab), Solidarity Forever and Bourgeois Blues? They are FIVE. I was livid when I heard this. The man was a communist radical for crying out loud.

CNN @ 1:00 - Juan Carlos states we're talking about 800,000 "kids" being given chance to stay in US and reporter calls them "immigrants"...not ILLEGAL aliens. Thwy don't even try to cover the lies anymore!!

For the first time ever, I was driven to write the following letter in response to a series of notes in the Youngstown Ohio paper. They have been running letters from teaching students at YSU complaining about SB5 to such an extent the level of drama should be on a stage. I don't know if I will be published but it felt good to send the note. Dear Editor, For several days now, The Vindicator has published letter after letter bemoaning the end of the world as we know it based upon the passing of Senate Bill 5. As if...

Pardon if this was brought up as I've been away from here for a while. I went to Amazon's site earlier today with the intention of pre-ordering Sarah Palin's book. How can a pending, new release, that is number 1 on the Amazon Best Seller List and that has been 45 days in the top 100 books...be discounted to $9.00 from $29.99. Goodness - it's not even released yet! Do they know how much more they can make if they chose to discount it even a little bit given then number of pre-orders and web site status? Have I missed...

Ok..so I am in the Philadelphia airport yesterday and what do I see? Not one but THREE Obama kiosks selling books, shirts, newsletters, etc. One of the workers was speaking the normal propagnada to anyone that stopped by (my gate was near one so I could watch the comings and goings). Can you imagine the uproar if this was a Republican? There would be protests in the streets had this been President Bush. The guy has his own brand now people.

Michelle has been here. Biden has been here two or three times - once just in the past week and now Hillary is going to be at Youngstown State to support Obama next week. If Ohio is in the bag - why so much time and money being spent in the Youngstown area?
