Since September 11th, 2001, there have been over 280 million U.S. civilian casualties in our war against terrorism. As the United States fights a half-baked, nice-guy war designed not to offend, American casualties are mounting. The freedoms that we have enjoyed for over 200 years are slowly being stripped away for our 'protection'. Congress has declared new unconstitutional powers violating the 4th Amendment, but has yet to declare war. While we wait for ground troops to begin their onslaught of Afghanistan, armed ground troops are already in full operation at our country's airports and transportation facilities, borders, dams, and nuclear ...

Los Angeles (xnews)- Authorities today are investigating a report that several patrons of a Dunkin' Donuts restaurant became sick Monday, after consuming doughnuts that witnesses say were coated in a white powdery substance. Police officials noted a powdery residue on the faces and clothing of some of the victims. The F.B.I. has been called to the scene. F.B.I spokesman Bob Winchells said that he does not believe that this is related to the incident on Sunday in which a nearby laundromat was evacuated after the discovery of a mysterious white powder on the floor. So far only four people who ...

We fight now because we didn't fight then By Jeff Jacoby, 9/20/2001 THIS WAS George Bush's warning to the international terrorists and their sponsors: ''The United States will be firm with terrorists. We will not make concessions.... If we find states supplying money, weapons, training, identification, documents, travel, or safe haven for terrorists, we will respond. Our aim is to demonstrate to these countries that supporting terrorism is not cost-free .... We will bring terrorists to justice. We will ... identify, track, apprehend, prosecute, and punish terrorists. Terrorism is crime, and terrorists must be treated as criminals.'' That muscular ...

  • Experts: Houston Mother Won't Face Death Penalty

    CBS News | 7/01/01
D.A. Will Make Decision Within 3 Weeks 4:27 p.m. EDT July 1, 2001 -- Legal experts and attorneys say that the Houston woman accused of drowning her five children in the bathtub probably will not face the death penalty. Jordan Steiker, a professor and death penalty expert at the University of Texas Law School said, "It's important to keep this in perspective. You won't find many people who kill their children that have the extensive criminal histories as those normally on death row. Their harm is enormous, but they are not regarded as dangerous." Andrea Yates remains in jail without ...

    AP | 4/13/01
By DAVID BAUDER, Associated Press NEW YORK (April 13, 2001 8:44 a.m. EDT) - CNN's aggressive efforts to cover the release of the U.S. spy plane's crew led to a reporter being detained by Chinese authorities and generated some bad blood between the cable channel and other networks. CNN used new videophone technology to get exclusive live pictures Wednesday of the 24 American crew members leaving Hainan, China, on a chartered flight to Guam. Front-page photos in The New York Times and The Washington Post both credited the cable network. CNN reporter Lisa Rose Weaver and a two-person crew ...

George Bush has not even placed his hand on the Bible, and the Free Republic chapter of the 'Naysayer Club' is already weighing in. Just hours after we finally can claim victory, we are treated to the all-to-familiar 'Brigadeer' Bush-bashing vanities and Joseph Farah articles excoriating a Bush presidency that hasn't even begun. There are analyses ad nauseum, scrutinizing the 'tone' of his acceptance speech and attempts to "read between the lines". Predictions abound over how the Federal Government will expand under his watch and there are fears of broken promises. I fear this is just the beginning of an ...

Sorry for the vanity, but I'm giddy over Dubya's win. I was watching Hannity and Lizard-face and I heard the makings of the perfect Mantra...... It's President Bush....get over it! I think this is the mantra for us to repeat over and over again!

Now that Dubya will be the certified winner of Florida, and thus the winner of the Presidency, will the American public say "enough is enough"? I have to believe that only the stalwart Liberals will approve of Gore dragging this out. I think even the media will have a hard time bolstering support for their guy.

Is it? I cannot believe the time and energy dedicated by some on this forum incessantly excoriating GWB. Instead of trying to impede the 'real' enemies of freedom, these people dwell 24/7 on the inadequacies and lack of Conservative purity of Bush. It is quite evident that the liberals and the media loathe GWB, so he must be percieved as a threat. Get over your pipe dreams of a Phillips/ Keyes/ Buchanan/ Attila the Hun presidency. It ain't gonna happen. Spend more time and effort in stopping an Al Gore presidency and less time fantasizing and bashing. Sorry for the ...

A short time back, a thread was started inquiring as to the origin of Freeper's screen names. I have often times wondered as to whether a Freeper were male or female when their screen name or comments do not make this obvious. I have been surprised at times, when a Freeper I assume to be male, turns out to be female (and vise-versa). Maybe this has been asked before, but I have never seen it. I'm not trying to emulate the census and invade privacy, I'm just curious. It would also be interesting to know age (I fully respect the ...
