BOCA CHICA – An explosion at the SpaceX site in Boca Chica occurred Friday night while testing its Starship SN1. It was posted by LabPadre. It reportedly happened around 10 p.m. According to Valerie Bates, marketing director for the City of Port Isabel, says it was an accidental cryogenic explosion. No injuries were reported and no chemicals were released. Anyone who may have been affected by the explosion is asked to call 956-943-2727.

MELBOURNE, Fla. – A SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule suffered an anomaly Saturday afternoon during a routine engine test firing at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station , company and 45th Space Wing officials confirmed. "On April 20, 2019, an anomaly occurred at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station during the Dragon 2 static test fire," wing spokesman Jim Williams told Florida Today. "The anomaly was contained and there were no injuries." Florida Today photographer Craig Bailey, who was covering an event in nearby Cocoa Beach, captured an image of orange plumes rising from SpaceX facilities at the cape at around 3:30 p.m.

Israel's first moon lander came up just short in its historic touchdown bid this afternoon (April 11). The robotic Beresheet spacecraft, built by SpaceIL and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), aimed to become the first Israeli craft, and the first privately funded mission, ever to land softly on the moon. But the little robot couldn't quite make it, crashing into the gray dirt around 3:25 p.m. EDT (1925 GMT). Mission control lost communications with the spacecraft when it was about 489 feet (149 meters) above the moon's surface.

Award winning actor John Hurt reportedly died on Friday after a battle with cancer. The 77-year-old actor, who starred in films such as “Harry Potter” and “The Elephant Man,” passed away after suffering from pancreatic cancer, according to London’s Mirror newspaper. Dan Haggerty, who fans know as Grizzly Adams, died early Friday morning at the age of 74 from cancer, ABC News has confirmed with the actor's manager Terry Bomar. Haggerty starred as Grizzly Adams in the 1974 film "The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams" and the subsequent TV series of the same name, which ran from 1977 to 1978.
